This page houses information regarding NPCs of Cour des Miracles, separate from the Character Directory.
Please do try to add your character's cNPCs, yNPCs, etc. to this directory. It's not mandatory to add your cNPCs here, but it can be helpful and lead to plots. You can help other Inferni members out by allowing certain assumptions with your NPC characters, too!
1. NPC Interactions
When you thread with or OOC assume something with an NPC it is highly courteous for you to edit that NPC's Wiki page or profile with this information. This is true even if it's a pre-approved assumption with a player-owned NPC or a thread with Pack NPC. At the very least, let the NPC owner know the thread/OOC assumption occurred (you can guess which is more polite, though!). Some roleplayers (and packs) actually require you to update the Wiki/let someone know!
It stinks picking up a character and finding out they've met half the pack -- but their interactions weren't tracked in any way. We know it's tough to remember to update stuff -- especially in the heat of a roleplaying frenzy -- but please do try!
2. On-Board NPCs
2.1 Pack NPCS (pNPCs)
- All Cour des Miracles members collectively own these NPCs and may roleplay freely with them.
- Please see the board-wide NPCs information for general guidelines. Feel free to post threads with pNPCs in Cour des Miracles Maintenance.

2.2 aNPCs, cNPCs, and yNPCs
These characters are NOT owned by Cour des Miracles or its leadership. They are player-owned, and listed under various forms of NPC status. Included on this list are player-owned Absentee NPCs (aNPCs), Companion NPCs (cNPCs), or Youth NPCs (yNPCs). You can figure out which type of NPC a character is are by looking at our Ranks Portal.
Some NPCs can be used and controlled by players -- double check with the NPC's listed information. Make sure you contact for owned NPCs -- to use or control or reference them without the player character's permission is powerplay and can result in consequences. :(
- You must have owner permission to include an NPC in roleplay...
- ... except where otherwise noted as pre-approved Assumptions.
- The CdM leadership does not own these characters and generally cannot answer any questions about them.

3. Adoptable NPCs
Please note -- this section lists only presently ranked adoptable NPCs. Companion NPCs, Youth NPCs, etc. that have already been adopted don't belong here.
These characters are usually children, friends, or other relatives to presently ranked members of Cour des Miracles. Adopting one of these characters is a great way to start out in a new pack with plots and threads quickly available to you through the characters related to the adopted NPC. Many come with set backgrounds or personalities, so check out their individual Wiki pages for more information on the character and how to adopt them.
Adoptable NPCs are owned by players with characters in Cour des Miracles. They are not owned by Cour des Miracles or its leaders, thus all questions, applications, etc. should be forwarded to the player in control of the NPC.
