Del Cenere's Livery page is where you'll find information on all of the Gang's communal livestock as well as information on privately owned animals kept within communal spaces. There is a livery on either side of Del Cenere's territory - the Eastern Livery (Lancaster Stockyard) is situated just north of Charmingtown, and is quick to access via Irving, and the Western Livery (Sweetwater Barns and Range), while smaller in scope, is situated just beyond the Parish's barrio. Played Characters are welcome to claim lodging for their own livestock in these areas, just be sure to update this page accordingly to reflect stall or paddock vacancy!
Remember: It is up to you to either add an animal yourself or to let us know if you need an animal added to this page. You can request that the leadership do this by filling out the form in our Pack Maintenance Thread - but be aware that this page is only intended to be a brief catalog of your companion animal. If you need more space, use an NPC Template or your personal Wiki page. Additionally: You should expect that your animals may be temporarily relocated, should an event like the Lancaster Stockshow require need of the communal space.
If your character leaves Del Cenere, whether permanently or to live in Palisade, their animals will be removed from this list. Make sure to keep your own copy of the information you put here, in case it is removed.
Guidelines...
Please familiarize yourself with our following rules and guidelines on conduct for animals within Del Cenere's communal spaces.
General Guidelines
- All communal animals are available for use - please adhere to the tags listed for that animal.
- If you are seeking to claim a product from an animal, like wool, eggs, or dairy, please see the storage page for availablility.
- Note that trading, killing, injuring, etc. these animals is not barred: however, IC consequences may occur if permission is not sought from the leadership.
- Animals labeled as owned by a specific character may not be used nor directly interacted with under any circumstance without player permission. By default, these animals will possess a "No Use" tag.
Notes on Trading, Claiming, & Services
- Animal trade is generally conducted during the annual Lancaster Stockshow. Any trades done on an individual basis while utilizing communal animals should be cleared with Leadership.
- Characters trading a communal animal out are expected to donate half of whatever they profit back to Del Cenere's communal stores. Exceptions are made in the case of discussed and planned Diplomatic excursions with Leadership.
- If animals are traded out, or otherwise removed, please make note of the change in population of that animal if it has a set number. Please keep a mature breeding populace available.
- Communal Animals may be claimed with Game Points as an IC reward - however, stipulations may apply.
- Leadership retains the right to decline claims on certain animals. As such, discussion should be expected in the case of reward claiming.
- If a Communal Animal is claimed via reward, and is pregnant, the offspring must still be yielded to the Communal Stock unless otherwise discussed.
- Communal Animals may be taken abroad for services to other Packs or Loner Bands, within reason. It is expected that these animals will only be surrendered "on loan", and must return to DCG.
- If seeking to take an animal abroad, please reach out to Leadership detailing the nature of the service being provided, and the time frame in which the animal will be returned.
Adding your Animals to communal spaces...
Notes on Courtesy & References
- Personally owned animals added to communal spaces are expected to be of amenable temperaments and not cause disruption or harm to existing groups of animals already occupying spaces. Overly aggressive/nervous individuals are encouraged to reside in personal paddocks to maintain peace and avoid injury/conflict - i.e.: if you have a cantankerous mule that doesn't get along well with others, it may not be wise to house it in free-range pastures with horses.
- Unfixed male livestock are not permitted to co-habitate with female livestock.
- Animals in communal spaces are liable to be moved or relocated in the case of events like the Stockshow, or other extenuating circumstances. To be clear - leadership will never cause harm to player-owned animals; we merely add this disclaimer as a notice that the animal may end up moved on a temporary basis. (ex: Best in Show moves a holding-paddock animal into the pastures, provided they are friendly/ fences fall in a pasture and contained animals find their way into the neighboring barrio until repairs are made, etc.)
- Privately-owned, yet communally housed animals may end up referenced in passing, by nature of their existence occupying the space. Usage or direct interaction of these animals will be prohibited, of course, per Guidelines.

1. Eastern Livery
» See Charmingtown's page for more information about the Lancaster Stockyard's location. A large swath of the Stockyard is accessible within Charmingtown's open-to-outsiders borders, though the access to the communal livestock may remain limited and Outsiders may be barred from accessing buildings entirely. While their companion animals may be stored here on a temporary basis for the duration of their stay, it works as a valet service - your animal will be dropped off, and then picked back up and returned once requested. The grounds of the Lancaster Stockyard are busiest when it plays host to Del Cenere's annual Lancaster Stockshow, but otherwise remain relatively quiet, if perpetually busy and in motion, throughout the duration of the year. Fencing is comprised of wooden slats, long logs, and stone alike. Many of them have been replaced through the ravages of temperamental seasons that Del Cenere has faced. Much of the land here has been cleared, with a few tall trees scattered and providing shade between paddocks. The outermost edges of the yard are lined in both deciduous trees like maple and oak, as well as pines like tamarack, spruce and cedar. The Stockyard itself lies somewhat in a flattened plain, situated between foothills of the Burnt Church Mountains on its Southeastern edge, and the rolling inclines into Tall Tree and the cliffsides lining Moosehead Lake to the Northwestern side. |

Details...The Foxtail Farrier is one of Del Cenere's foundries. The Drunken Tusk tends to operate out of this building, and it offers services like grooming, hoof care, studding services, sterilization services, and other basic animal husbandry related tasks or supplies. For more information as to what is provided, please see Charmingtown's page for details. |
![]() | |||||||||||||||
Details...The Stockyard's sizable, stone and wood stable has stood testament to its fine construction work that has lasted the test of time. While its partner has succumbed to the elements, this sizable building is still remarkably steady, and with it now being seen to regular maintenance on behalf of the Gang, it is the perfect lodging for Del Cenere's horses. While there are no attached turn-out stalls on this stable, the nearby Arena provides an space to turn stabled animals loose to exercise. The stable has ten stalls, a grain feed room, and a tack room. Large doors open up either side of the stable and are often left open in summertime to supplement airflow, and stalls are labeled to the left and right side in accordance to entering through the southern doorway and facing the northern end of the stable. Encender members are often encouraged to stable their animals throughout their probationary period within the Lancaster Stockyard, be that in the stable, or the holding paddocks.

1. Goat Paddock |
Details...This paddock is situated between Del Cenere's trails heading up to Ojo del Diablo, and one roaming from the Stockyard westward to the pebbly shore of Moosehead Lake, and lies along the hillside off the cusp of Tall Tree. It is equipped with a trough beneath the cover of a lean-to shelter. Shaded and grown with tall, mature trees, a litany of shrubs kept manicured purely by the paddock's hardy residents, and thinner patches of grass and weeds underfoot. There are a litany of stones and boulders to provide climbing surfaces, as well as a large, partially rotted wooden spool scavenged from the Drunk Barrel. This paddock is perfect for Del Cenere's scrappy goat tribe, allotting plenty of space to climb on stones and browse the shrubby growth surrounding. It's northeastern fence is comprised of mossy stones. |
2. Sheep Paddock |
This paddock is in direct line of sight of The Quartet's housing. Lined in fences of stone and wood, only a handful of trees pepper this paddock to provide cover from the sun outside of the shelter provided. Grasses, shrubby greens and clover grow in a bit thicker along the subtle hillside of this paddock, providing ample feed throughout the spring and summer months. Much of the stones have been hand-pulled from the ground here, and offered instead to the neighboring goat paddock. |
3. Pig Pen |
Details...This paddock is situated near the Quartet, and off of the trail that travels directly to the shore of Moosehead Lake. The ground here has plenty of dips and gentle slopes thanks to its position at the base of foothills roaming towards Ojo del Diablo. This paddock is constructed of wood fencing, and possesses a singular lean-to shelter with a duo of low-profile troughs for water and food. Due to the nature of this as a pig pen - its residents have since uprooted any small, delicate trees and much of the grass and plants in this paddock, resulting in a shady and cool dirt patch where only the hardiest mature plants have survived their landscaping efforts. |
4. Foaling & Quarantine Paddocks
Details...This duo of paddocks are situated closely off the back of the Foxtail Farrier, and alongside the Quartet. They are mildly more spacious than the other holding paddocks, given the nature of their usage; Intended for infirm animals, or expectant mother horses, these paddocks are largely 'on reserve', unless extenuating circumstances circumvent necessity for clearance. Situating these paddocks so close to the housing row allows for plenty of exposure to Luperci for fresh-born foals in the formative days after their birth. These enclosures are each equipped with lean-to shelters, and generally have ample opportunity to become overgrown with thick grasses between their use.
|
5. Arena |
Details...The space that once was the much more rickety and unstable twin to the Stockyard's stable has been gutted, demolished and converted into the Training Arena as of the late summer of 2022. From the building's salvage came the very stone bricks that line the space and the planks that form it's fencing, sanded down and treated. The Arena is comprised of a sandy, gritty hard packed soil that is regularly raked over and cleaned to maintain a manicured appearance, and it is often bereft of weeds due to such regular cleaning. Stable horses are frequently turned out into the Arena to socialize and work out their energy when it is not being utilized for training exercises. |
6. Feed Storage |
Details...This gated-off, open fronted shed is sizable and large, and provides storage for the Stockyard's fodder and straw bedding for stalls, as well as the Gang's carts. Not much can be said over this old, modest building, made of stone, wood, and patched often with remains of salvaged, corrugated steel. Often times, feral cats can be spotted around the building, hunting mice, or sleeping in loose hay and straw. |
7. Holding Paddocks | Capacity : 1/5
Details...Five small-scale enclosures flank the Northern and Eastern sides of the Arena. Framed by tall cedars, tamarack and ash trees, a small copse of thick woodland shades the area and offers protection and privacy. Ferns and shrubs of all sorts threaten to encroach just beyond the back fences, and only grow denser as the hillock to the Southeastern side climbs in elevation. Each pen is equipped with the roomy accomodations of a single turn-out stall, as well as amenities for food and water. During the Lancaster Stockshow, oftentimes the residents of these paddocks are temporarily relocated to house Best in Show participants, otherwise, these paddocks act as an extension of communal housing for animals, and Encender are often encouraged to place their companions in these pens should the Stable be full. Paddocks are listed from the closest to the Feed Storage, to the Southeastern pen outside the Arena nearest the coops:
|
8. Coops and Hutches |
Details...A row of coops and hutches line the South end of the Lancaster Stockyard, each enclosed in high posts and a fence comprised of salvaged metal mesh panels, which extends over the top of the enclosure as well to ward off airborn predators. While some of these animals may free-range the stockyard throughout the day, they generally only get the chance to do so when supervised, just to ensure these animals don't get into places they are not supposed to - though they often escape detection of handlers regardless. Chickens regularly find their way into the stable, or pheasants hide out in the fodder storage despite most efforts - at the very least, most birds return to their coops easily come evening with the promise of food. Pheasant species are rarely let out at the same time to avoid cross-breeding. Del Cenere's communal rabbits are the only animals exempt from the free-ranging, as the risk of their failure to return is too great.
|
9. Debouille Reserve Pastures |
Details...Beyond the Lancaster Stockyard, situated to the Northeast, lie the duo of free-ranging pastures of the Debouille Reserve. These swaths of land sweep up on the rolling hillsides into the woodlands of Tall Tree, and down into the grassland and meadow of the valley between Tall Tree and the Burnt Church Mountains. Forest helps to provide cover and shelter, and small trickles of minute streams provide water. The meadow lands, especially come spring and summer, provide ample browsing and forage for feed. Wide open space allows for the Gang's horses to stretch their legs properly. Aside from this, the pens do have a few structures to provide additional shelter, and food is often still provided at the gates nearest the Stockyard, which often is a siren pull enough for the mares to frequent the fences to check in with Ashen handlers. Horses regularly rotate between pastures. Encender members may house their mares or geldings with the group, provided they will not initiate conflict with the existing herds. Stallions are prohibited from the pastures. |
10. The Quartet (Housing) |
Details...This small set of buildings house much of the pNPCs of Del Cenere, situated closely by the Foxtail Farrier. They overlook the foaling paddocks, as well as the paddocks for the Gang's smaller hoofstock. For more information on this set of houses and who can be found here, please see our Residency page. |

Dairy! Her milk has a very high fat content, making it a premium choice for cheese.
Amicable and friendly. Pippa trusts luperci and tends to follow after them at a moseying pace. She enjoys scratches and pets and can be persistent in her pursuits.

Being a baby
Clumsy and dopey, but well-intentioned. Has a tendency to lean her forehead onto luperci and push them, though it seems to be a ploy for affection more than anything - the longer she's ignored, the harder she pushes.
