Siskin Amarok is the son of Zyndea Amarok'Kido and Logan Cormier, born into the off-board trade community Old Ironsides alongside siblings Telorin Cormier? and Maple Parhelion?. An adventurous and bold child, it was only a matter of time before the allure of faraway places compelled him to explore the lands and cultures outside of his birthplace. Months of correspondence and planning between his parents and uncle finally culminated in Iska journeying to New Caledonia.

In Percival's desire to ensure Siskin's safety during the height of The Winter of Discontent, he was relocated to a safe place just outside of New Caledonia. Feeling brave and invincible, Iska disobeyed his uncle's instructions to stay put and attempted to come to the Realm's aid during the burning of Haven. During an altercation with an Omniscient, Siskin was [M] fatally stabbed and succumbed to his injuries on the battleground.

His body was later returned to Old Ironsides where he was [M] laid to rest during a water burial ceremony.

1.  Characteristics

1.1  Appearance


Despite his coat markings, wire-haired fur, and small stature, Siskin has a build and features that harken back to his wolf heritage. His ears are fully upright and coated in thick, coarse fur that transitions to wiry and wild throughout the rest of his body. He possesses short, but scruffy, eyebrows and a modest mustache and beard at the end of a long, blunt. muzzle.

Quite small for his species, it is likely that Siskin will take after his maternal grandmother's diminutive size and probably will not get much taller. Despite this, he has a frame that suggests he is likely to fill in quite well as he matures, though he looks slender and somewhat wiry at present.

Iska has a creeping tan color pattern hidden behind roaning and mottled markings that give him a distinctive, doggish appearance. He owes his snow nose to his paternal ancestors and his eye color is reminiscent of his late maternal grandmother.

  • Speech: Excitable, loud, and with frequent vocal cracks. He gets his motor mouth from his paternal grandmother.

  • General Posture and Body Language: Bright-eyed and inquisitive with a thirst for knowledge, causing him to stare often with his mouth parted in wonder.

An obvious explorer from an early age, Siskin rarely stays in one place or sits still for very long before he's off on his next adventure. He is deeply curious about everything, from the Luperci around him to the greater world outside, and finds particular enjoyment in learning about different customs, cultures, and religions. Immensely stubborn, once Iska resolves to do something he will see it through regardless of the obstacles in his way. Although always well-intentioned, this can cause rifts in his relationships and has gotten him into trouble a lot in his young age.

  1. Just when I thought
    New Caledonia with Sólveig Dawnrunner. As Caledonians and Salsolans alike are gathered for the Call to Court, Siskin (almost literally) runs into Sólveig and learns all about the event and what to expect.
  2. WoD It's almost like a disease
    New Caledonia with Percival Parhelion and Reblin. After being alerted to a troubling symbol gouged into the trunk of a grand tree, Percival and Reblin discuss what it means with one another while ignoring Siskin's curiosity. His refusal to be ignored results in an argument.
  3. Small mercies
    New Caledonia with Percival Parhelion and Thistle Cormier. Thistle finds his brother to fill him in on a letter he received from Old Ironsides, which tells of Cora's return, and finds that his nephew is also in tow.
  4. WoD Don't you know I feel the darkness closing in
    New Caledonia with Percival Parhelion and Liam del Morte. As more unnerving symbols appears at random around the pack, scouts are sent out to patrol the borders. Siskin disobeys Percy's instructions to remain behind and joins up with him and Liam as they come upon an old camp outside of the northeastern borders.

    New Caledonia with Percival Parhelion, Thistle Cormier, Vinitharya, and Rosa Somnia. A small handful of mercenaries, guided and encouraged to set fires throughout Haven by an Omniscient, are intercepted by Percy, Thistle, and Vinitharya. Siskin, who had been sent to a safe location outside of New Caledonia, valiantly (and foolishly) comes to the Realm's aid and is savagely killed while engaging with Rosa.

  1. Now I'm happy most of the time
    SearsportNew Caledonia with Percival Parhelion. After completing the first leg of his journey from Old Ironsides with his father, Siskin meets his uncle Percy and starts the second leg of his trip to New Caledonia. They feel the start of the tremors along the way.


  1. We drink to our youth, to days come and gone
    New Caledonia with Percival Parhelion, Naomi Stryder, and Ronin Solberg. While enjoying some food and company at the Brass Potato, Percy and Siskin are joined by Naomi and Ronin who are fresh off patrol. Impressed by their abilities and bravery, Iska barrages them with questions.
