Makoto “Mako” Ridley is the middle son of Akiyama Hanae and Revolver Ridley. He was born into Shadow’s Veil, a large, though secretive, trading hub used by all walks of life, though, mostly, for those with less than good intentions within the expansive Ontario, Canada and its neighboring regions. He lived a relatively normal childhood, and picked up armor and blacksmithing at an early age after undergoing an apprenticeship under Halt Bradley.

1. Basics
1.1 Appearance
Visual
Species: More obviously dog than he is wolf due to his physique and coloring
Fur: Double-coat, medium length, very soft and plush
Optime Hair: Very short
Facial Features: Broader features due to heavy Akita ancestry, however, his snout is a little more tapered and head a little slenderer due to his more wolf-like genes; ears are large, thick-looking, and triangular
Build and Size:
Lupus: Stands a bit on the taller side, and his broader bone structure makes for a muscular, hardy-looking appearance. His tail noticeably curls over his back if he’s excited or angered. Otherwise, it hangs loosely if he is relaxed.
Secui: Similar to his Lupus, but noticeably more muscular around his neck, shoulders, and hindquarters
Optime: Broad-shouldered, toned and muscular, though not overly so. He has an athletic appeal to him despite having thick bones
Humanization: Highly humanized; often wears clothing and armor, and is no stranger to tools and working with his hands.

1.2 Essentials
Personality
Unlike his partner, Teagan Stryder, Mako sports a more vocal and outgoing personality. Friendly, open, and playful, it's quite a surprise to think that the two would even get along. He is a rather patient and understanding soul, and often looks to help those that he can, which only further gives him a "brotherly" sort of vibe. Occasionally though, his patience can wear thin, but this side of him is seldom seen unless Mako is pushed to the extreme. He is naturally protective of those that are smaller or weaker, and is not above violence if it means to protect someone he cares for. Mako has a pretty strong sense of justice, and his want to help others has made him an individual praised for his bravery and selflessness.
His hardworking, tireless, and proactive nature was what brought him under his master's, Halt's, apprenticeship.
Interests
Likes: Spring, weapons and armor building, sparring, trying new things, enjoying the little things, small animals (ex. bunnies, birds, butterflies, etc.)
Dislikes: Summer, thieves and cheats, dishonesty, slavery, weakness, feeling useless

Sexuality
Mako is strictly heterosexual, preferring women. Raised on traditional values, he believes in having only one partner, and staying faithful to that partner through thick or thin. As such, he strongly disapproves promiscuity and unfaithfulness, and is not afraid to call someone out on their flighty sexual habits.
Spirituality
He is not very spiritual, having fallen out of faith upon being taken as an apprentice under Halt, who did not believe in such things.
Substances
Mako will participate in a social drink or two, but is not one to do so when by himself. He associates drugs with the darker things he has seen in Shadow's Veil and in trading hubs like Portland, and believes them to be a plague and nuisance because of it. If known, he will try to not associate with drug-users to "avoid trouble."
Skills & Abilities
Excellent blacksmith and armorsmith, having been trained since a young age under his previous master, Halt
Mako only makes the armor sections, he usually partners with a seamstress or tailor for putting the parts together (if leather)
Has experience with forging and repairing weapons, as well as drawing up mock-ups and plans for creation
Highly skilled in leatherworking due to his armorsmithing trade
Particular about the materials he uses, he makes a good hunter and has a preference for trapping
His primary fighting style is with a battle-axe and shield
His expertise with forging and fixing weapons, however, has made him quite knowledgeable with the basics of most weaponry
Teagan Stryder liberated Mako from the Ragdogs, and, for that, he is eternally grateful. While they have their moments where they do nothing but bicker and argue, they became fast allies and better friends. Mako joined Casa di Cavalieri because of Teagan, and is noticeably loyal and protective of her, and showers her with the occasional affection much to her chagrin. He has since become Teagan's go-to Luperci for sparring, testing new battle ideas, or for something related to weapons or armor.
His family, he hopes, is doing well back home. His bonds with them were loose with his early apprenticeship under Halt, however, he still cares for their general health and well-being. When Teagan liberated him from the Ragdog's influence, he was too ashamed to return to them with his inability to protect his mentor.
Halt Bradley was something of a second father to Mako. He taught him many things, gave him many life-skills and talents, and helped turn him from a boy and into a man under his tutelage. Mako is still very sensitive about his death, and will only ever make vague references to his past teacher.

Personality:
Gentle, calm, and patient, Whiskey is a dream horse to have. She's foaled before, and is noticeably good with creatures smaller than her. To those she is familiar with, she can be playful, and while she has a very kind and friendly personality, she will be strictly loyal to a small few. She enjoys working and will happily step into her harness or be fitted with her tack if it pleases her handler. It takes a lot to bring out a more aggressive side to this mare, though, she will go after a perceived threat. She does not do well with stallions that are too eager, and will not only refuse their advances, but will kick and bite with the intention to draw blood.
History:
Whiskey was born and raised to be a labor horse by a small-time farmer in Portland, Maine. She had two owners before the Ragdog group forcibly took her from her previous owner when they were unable to "pay" for the group's work. Forced into the group's servitude, Mako often took care of the horses on top of his usual duties when the group was at their home base of sorts. Whiskey took a liking to him due to his gentler handling than her actual owner's, and enjoyed being used by the wolfdog to help him with his blacksmithing. When Teagan Stryder and Mako defeated the Ragdogs, Whiskey was taken by Mako as his personal mount.
Impregnated by Apollo in the late summer months of 2018. She will be due in August 2019.
