Igor is related to members of the Helsi family by means of his great-grandfather, Odin, who is Kynda Helsi's father. His father Bogdan Kotovo is her nephew, and cousin to Reykja Helsi, Siv Silfr and Víborg Helsi. He is second-cousin to O'Riley Eternity.

Strengths

• Language (Accomplished): Native Russian speaker, fluent in English.
• Sailing (Accomplished): Igor was living aboard a ship before he was able to shift, and has spent most of his life at sea.
• Navigation: Capable of using the stars to determine direction and distance.

Weaknesses

• Heat Intolerance: Extremely high temperatures are all but unbearable to Igor.
• Damaged Left Arm: Igor suffered a bad injury to his arm that never properly healed, leaving it weaker than his right side. He walks with a slight limp when on four legs.
