Edwin is a sprightly, yet mouthy Starling, partner in crime, and the one true friend of Charletter-Ebony Leishman. They are very close, their relationships dynamic is as if they were siblings.

OOC ASSUMPTIONS!

Anathema members may assume and reference the following without discussion/asking:

  • Seeing Edwin flying about the territory, battling for food with the ravens and other birds
  • Seeing Stark riding around on top of Charletter-Ebony Leishman's head/shoulder or hanging around Thackary Village.
  • Edwin could also have perched somewhere and cussed out/harassed your character for amusement!

1.  Appearance

  • Size: ~36cm wingspan, about average
  • Features: Glossy, kempt plumage and feathers; clean appearance.
  • Coloration: Bluish-green metallic sheen body. Iridescent plumage, and spotted backside and feathers. Has a yellow beak in the summer, and a black beak in the winter. Dark, yet rich brown eyes.
  • Other: Missing a small portion of a claw on his left foot from a scrap with another bird.

2.  Personality

Edwin is extremely arrogant, as well as mouthy. He has a formidable disregard for the feelings of others, which might explain why he was able to befriend the emotionally unsound Charlie.

Edwin likes to brag and boasts his graceful flying ability, usually in the form of tricks and sometimes even "bombing runs" of excrement.

The Starling likes to use dirty words, which him and Charlie used freely when she was just a pup, especially to those who don't understand what he is saying in low speech. Despite his brash personality, he has always been a social outcast amongst those of his species, which led to him being in solitude before befriending Charlie.

2.1  Skills & Abilities

  • Edwin is capable of extremely broken High Speech. Typically, what he does say in high-speech is mockery which he wants you to hear, or what he's saying is very important to him. As such, he doesn't use it often.
  • Edwin is capable of near soundless flight on account of his smooth, unique flying style which utilizes a great deal of gliding.

2.2  Likes & Dislikes

  • Likes: Charletter-Ebony Leishman, playing in his bird bath, cussing, scouting, perching on Charlie's head and/or eating bird seed.
  • Dislikes: Anyone Charlie dislikes, other more sociable birds, and situations which put Charlie at risk.

3.  History

  • Grew up and left home, but never quite fit in amongst the other birds as a social anomaly
  • Aided Charlie mid-struggle with a loner, and they have been inseparable ever since.
