Bogdan Kotovo is a wolfdog from Volgograd, Russia.
A runaway turned pirate who settled down to start a family, disaster struck when a fire ripped through the homestead. The blaze would claim the lives of Bogdan's mate and two of their children. Furthermore, it cost Bogdan his leg. He and his surviving son left their homeland to seek out a supposed relative living overseas. To their surprise, they found her. This soon led them to Salsola, where the pair decided to settle. Bogdan was sponsored by Stannis de le Poer, and soon began assisting him with the developments beginning to take place in his new home.
His skills with woodworking and knowledge of sailing and fishing have seen Bogdan play an important role in Salsola's waterways and The Docks. He currently lives there, and mans the small marina where his growing collection of boats awaits members seeking to sail Loch Fundy. His son Igor also lives in the pack, and regularly assists his father with both construction and fishing.

4. History
Bogdan Kotovo was born in the Volga region of what was formerly Russia. He was one of two children brought up by a pair of Luperci living in a small pack outside of the remains of urban areas. Originally expected to fall in line with the needs of his family unit, which were far more feral and spiritualistic than Bogdan cared for, the young man rebelled and sought of a more civilized world.
He began spending time in Volvograd?, a city alongside the Volga river. Here he began perfecting his skills as a fisherman and shipbuilder. Over time, these skills caught the attention of a woman who represented a crew of sailors. Her stories of sailing across seas and seeing the larger world captivated Bogdan, who soon found himself leaving behind what little responsibilities he had in the area.
The job, he soon discovered, was a little bit more complicated than merchant sailing. It was not the first he had heard of piracy, but the experience – and his own involvement – cemented him as part of the crew. For the next several years, Bogdan sailed the Caspian Sea. He and the other pirates lived a risky, but fulfilling life as they plundered trade ships and sought out rare and valuable loot.
A return to Volvograd would change the direction of Bogdan's life, as he met and became infatuated with a local named Sabine. He made the rash decision to give up his life at sea in order to convince the young woman to settle down with him. Shockingly – perhaps owing to her early pregnancy – the two became mates. Bogdan moved into her small family farm, which he began overseeing. Their children were born in the fall of that year. Things went relatively okay for several months. The farm began to decline under Bogdan's inexperienced leadership and Sabine's focus on her offspring, but true disaster struck when a fire ripped through the homestead late in the summer. The blaze would claim the lives of Bogdan's mate and two of their children. Furthermore, it cost Bogdan his leg.
After making the difficult decision to amputate his ruined foot, Bogdan spent the long winter in recovery. That spring, he and his remaining son, Igor, traded away what remained of their supplies and land claim in order to fund passage across the Atlantic. The idea was Bogdan's – he was unwilling to remain in the area and took a risk seeking supposed relatives overseas. According to his grandfather, he had produced a child with a witch-woman from a powerful pack.
The long journey that followed would eventually see the pair land in Portland. There, a search soon lead them to the Salsola Outpost and Kynda Helsi. Though their story seemed outrageous, the resemblance and details Bogdan shared convinced the woman as to the validity of their claim. She explained the opportunity that Salsola could present to them, and Bogdan and Igor soon-after joined. Bogdan's sponsor was Stannis de le Poer, another man who had been born a foreigner and joined the pack, while his son learned from his younger distant cousin, O'Riley Eternity.
His skills with woodworking and knowledge of sailing and fishing have seen Bogdan play an important role in Salsola's waterways and Docks. He currently lives there, and mans the small marina where his growing collection of boats awaits members seeking to sail Loch Fundy.
