The de Fonte family originated in southern Europe along the Mediterranean coast and were originally wolf in blood. When the household moved to North America for better opportunities, it split in two because of opposing ideals: one brother sought to assimilate with civil culture while the other wished to embrace their feral ancestry. The former holds the hybridized lineage and the latter retains their pure wolf heritage.

The two branches are displaced throughout the North American mainland, especially due to the feral de Fonte's nomadic tenancies. The only stable "hub" can be found near (Area TBA)—many members were lost during a meteor strike near Freetown, but old crone Ailria (mother of the two warring brothers) survived to this day and acts as the matriarch.
