1.  About

The ars Goetia line can be traced back to one single source -- a long-dead progeniter male by the name of Ba'al Zebub ars Goetia. Ba'al was born in the mountains of Russia, to two loner parents who quickly succumbed to a lack of parental obligation. Once he was old enough, Ba'al was left behind to live in the world with his own merits. Finding himself without support, without confidence from an older creature, his mind was quickly warped by the tundra and absence of company -- he turned into little more than a feral creature, living for the hunt, of prey and other wolves. Before he turned two, he was found by a strong older man who never revealed his name; in the months that they lived together, Ba'al regained his senses and was transformed, through a myriad of debauchery, from his non-Luperci roots into a Verto Luperci male.

It was this unknown man who instilled what makes up the ars Goetia line today. Ba'al became an instrument of an unknown Demon, a God worshipped for His virility and cruelty, who shunned the female form as useless save for birthing pups. His rampant raping of lone creatures in the world left him with several generations of progeny, each unique in their tastes and various habits.

For most of the family, they remained in Russia, but Dantalion ars Paulina immigrated from his home to North America shortly after 2004, when coyote blood was subsequently introduced into the family line.

2.  Family

2.1  Notes

  • Δ marks an open character that is currently up for adoption.
  • marks a multi-father litter.
  • Only family members who lived for a significant amount of time are listed -- there are several children not listed due to their insignificance in the family.
  • Almost no litter found in the family tree from the same parent are full siblings -- it's ars Goetia habit to take random outsider females to breed, rather than mates. Bhairava, in the sixth generation, is the first to take a real mate.

3.  Defining Features

3.1  Physical

General

  • Because they only keep the males, and the strongest females who manage to live past the starvation period, the ars Goetia lineage are strong and large despite whatever hybridization they've been working on. Their wolf blood draws from the some of the largest European wolves: Russian, Tundra and Gray.

ars Almadel

  • The ars Almadel family quickly begun to breed dog blood into their family, out of pride and vainity as they found the varying colors and patterns of the domestic dog coats to be more beautiful than the mottled coats of the wolves.
  • Ars Almadel members tend to have blue or brown eyes, drawing from the dog blood they use.

ars Paulina

  • Coming over from the eastern portion of Russia to the western coast of North America, the ars Paulina family interbred with the more sleek and attractive coyotes found in the region, ignoring the wolves who made up the rest of the populace.
    • Despite the addition of the smaller coyote blood, the coyotes they bred with were larger in size than the more petite, southern coyotes: Northern, Northwest Coast and Mountain.
  • Ars Paulina members tend to have golden eyes, drawing from the strains of coyote that they use.

ars Notoria

  • Being the family to remain in the boundaries of Russia the longest, the ars Notoria bred exclusively with other wolves of the same species, resulting in large and intimidating frames and coats that helped them blend into the tundra around them.
  • Ars Notoria members tend to have black-blue or dark grey eyes; these draw directly from Ba'al Zebub, who sported silver before his death.
