The Calloway Crew

A group of thugs, raiders and thieves run by Pirate Calloway. Shipwrecked for over two years and waiting for their chance to get back on the seas, the crew are looking to cause a bit of trouble before they leave.

1. NPCs

1.1 Bandit
Basics
- NPC Type: cNPC to Pirate Calloway
- Gender: Male
- Age: 6 years old
- Species: Wolf
- Weapon: Tooth and Claw
Fighting Style
Being the brute of the crew, Bandit uses his huge size to smash through opposition, frequently taking hits just so he can get in close and break his target with a few hits.
Brief Personality
A loyal servant to Pirate, Bandit has enjoyed a life of violence and little consequence. He, like Pirate, has fathered a child since being shipwrecked, but just like Pirate the man has lost most of his ties to his daughter. Bandit is of a simple mind when it comes to most things, and nothing shuts off his brain more than a fight. The scars of Bandit prove how little he cares when violent, but despite his wounds he always seems to come out on top.
1.2 Rat

Fighting Style
An unrelenting and fast fighter, Rat knows that given his scrawny size he'd be easy to take down, so he always strikes first to make sure he gets the upper hand.
Brief Personality
Rat probably feels the struggle of not being at sea more than any of the others. Pirate’s plan is a chance for Rat to let loose for a bit, and hopefully by the end they'll finally get back on the ocean waves. Rat makes impulsive decisions, but is a quick thinker, even if he is very easy to manipulate. Something Pirate has been doing for a long while now.
1.3 Tajir
Basics

Fighting Style
Tajir is good at acting weak and tricking her opponents into letting their guard down. She is one to strike fast, but if she feels a fight is not going her way she will attempt to run.
Brief Personality
Pirate’s right-hand in manipulation and cruelty, Tajir began the crew as a traveller and guest, but remained to see what she could sow from the opportunities of the crew. Tajir deals in trades, particularly in the trade of the weak; often pawning off her servants to others. Knowing how to push the limits of one’s mental strength, Tajir is good at keeping others in line, knowing exactly what can break them into submission.
1.4 Merlot
Basics

- Weapon: Hand-to-hand or daggers
Fighting Style
Not as big as Bandit, but Merlot knows how to fight and especially how to fight dirty, aiming to pin or restrain his opponent. Should someone ever give in, Merlot will only pretend to let them go before finishing them off.
Brief Personality
A long standing member of Pirate’s crew, having joined back in England, Merlot might be older but he’s seen plenty of fights and raids. He has been doubtful of Pirate’s leadership for a while, given they had no ship to sail, but sees the plan as a fun release before getting back to the real action.
1.5 Azure
Basics

- Weapon: Shortsword
Fighting Style
Where Bandit or the others use their brute strength, Azure tends to be quick and precise. Training with a sword since he was young, Azure leans towards a quick and offensive style of fighting, not giving his opponent any chances to retaliate.
Brief Personality
A criminal of the waters himself, Azure saw some promise in joining Pirate’s crew whilst they were sailing across the eastern shoreline. Azure has remained tempted to betray Pirate, but considers himself a patient man, willing to serve as crew until opportunity arises. Azure is close to Bandit in terms of combat skill, though with less of the sheer strength and more skill and mastery of the shortsword.
1.6 Valentine
Basics

Fighting Style
Usually around to protect Tajir, Valentine typically acts as the supporting archer. However, when drawn into combat he will rely on his spear to push opponents back and keep them away.
Brief Personality
Forever in servitude to Tajir, Valentine is used to following orders and keeping quiet. However, meek as he seems, the man is as cunning and ruthless as his lady is. Willing to do anything to preserve his own life, he’d once sold out his own sister to Tajir just to ensure she didn’t kill him.
1.7 Deonach
Basics

- Gender: Male
- Age: 5 years old
- Species: Wolfdog
- Weapon: None
Fighting Style
Deonach is far from a fighter, and is instead relied upon for healing those who are hurt. The man does have a good understanding of poisons however, but doesn't ever really use them.
Brief Personality
Trapped in a debt to Pirate's crew for escorting him across the seas, Deonach feels he has no choice but to help the awful crew. Losing his closest friend in the shipwreck and not knowing whether or not he lived or died, Deonach feels little motivation to try and escape, especially given how long he has remained in their company.
1.8 Additional Support
On top of his crew, Pirate has enlisted the help of a couple of hired hands to be within DCG. These individuals are acting as spies within DCG to keep tabs, but Pirate also aims to use them as a wildcard should he need to.

2. Timeline
- [M] Fault lines tremble underneath my glass house: On the 29th of August, Pirate Calloway kidnaps Fredrick Knight after a long-term mission to get his son to trust him. With the help of Merlot (tNPC), Azure (tNPC), and Bandit (cNPC), Freddy is captured. The boy is tormented for over a week, with Deonach (cNPC) around to keep him alive. On the 8th of September, Tajir (tNPC) arrives with a kidnapped Dynia de la Croix. The girl is used as blackmail to force Freddy into helping the crew in an upcoming raid on DCG.
- But it's hard and it's dark and I'm falling apart, we were doomed from the start: On the 9th of September, a search group consisting of Jimena Escuella, Peony Braithwaite, Rafaela Tejada, Morris and Calhoun de la Cruz leave Gang territory to look for the missing members. They end up finding a wounded Fredrick Knight just to the south of DCG.
- Feel the Thunder: Also on the 9th of September, within Charmingtown, another search party consisting of Bennett Braithwaite, Florene Braithwaite, Wichita Long and Hosea Courtright discover a couple of suspicious looking strangers (tNPC: Valentine and Nazjure). The two strangers run off, but drop a note as they go that shows a sketch of Charmingtown drawn on it.
- I stand here now, ready for the judgement call: Fredrick Knight gets up to tell Nazario del Bosque about the plan to raid Charmingtown. Freddy makes a promise to bring back Dynia de la Croix.
