1.  Appearance

1.1  Basics

  • Species: Sylvie is a coyote, and it is plainly obvious in her scent and appearance.
  • Fur: Sylvie's fur is sleek and short, but patchy in some areas due to her many scars.
    • Optime Hair: her hair is generally in a braid. Otherwise, it is a bit wavy. She has some messy bangs/fringe, and a second, small braid that hangs on the right side of her face.
  • Facial Features: Sylvie's muzzle is marred by a wide scar that goes from on side to the other. She is also missing most of her left ear.
  • Build and Size: she is on the small side even for a female coyote. Her build is compact with lean muscle.
    • Lupus: What does their Lupus form look like? I guess you could stick a Secui section under here.
    • Secui: Her awkwardly long legs emphasize her petite torso.
    • Optime: she is thin but not in a sickly way, and petite around her shoulders and midsection.
  • Humanization: Sylvie is fairly humanized. She is generally in her Optime form, and most of what she does requires hands: sailing, archery, cooking. She also wears a necklace with a silver-colored pendant, and a silver-colored cuff around her tail near the end.

  • Scars: The most noticeable scar is the one across her muzzle. She has deep claw marks on her right shoulder, scratches on her right side, and two long lines across her back, even with her hips.

2.  Personality

Motherly: Sylvie is happy to take on the role of mother to all other canines. She is a very caring soul and enjoys taking care of the less fortunate, often taking the bullied, disabled, or misunderstood under her wing. If you are ever in need of some motherly advice this sweet lady is your gal.

Protective: Although she always comes across as sweet and caring, Sylvie is very protective of those she decides to call family. Having no birth children of her own and being prone to adopting the less fortunate in her mind, she is capable of lashing out when her family needs her.

Calm: Always the supporting character, Sylvie has developed into a calm elder. After years of supporting her pirate family she has learned to keep her calm in order to avoid the tempers of her ex-crew. She has found that a calm and sweet demeanor has helped her to manipulate the more firey tempered canines around her.

  • Overly dominant males: due to her history with violent males, Sylvie is sometimes nervous around ones who seem angry or are very dominant. Her reactions are more internal than external, although she will try to either placate or remove herself from the situation.

Sylvie is heterosexual, although she does not generally seek out sex. This is mainly due to her past, which consisted of a few bad choices in males in a row. This is not to say Sylvie does not want this sort of relationship; she just doesn't trust her own judgement when it comes to this area. She prefers to be monogamous.

Key Relations

  • Julien Gauthier is the only pirate who survived alongside Sylvie. She thinks of him as a son and is very protective over him.
  • Lola is Sylvie's best friend. Lola was one of her staunchest supporters when others in Casa sought to have her killed alongside the rest of the pirates. Since then, Sylvie has befriended her and at times, worries about her like a mother might. She also willingly babysat Lola and Alistair's puppies.

Minor Relations

  • Morty: one of the Cavaliers who Sylvie's pirates captured. Sylvie tried to help her during her ordeal, and has since befriended her.

4.  Skills and Inventory

4.1  Abilities

Medical Skills

  • Education and Learning: Sylvie learned her midwife skills formally from another midwife, along with the other basic skills. Most of it has been honed through necessity while taking care of her pirate charges.
  • Midwife (Master): Sylvie has a lot of experience helping to deliver puppies from spending the first two years of her life with a midwife.
  • First aid (Journeyman): she is capable of splinting bones and stitching wounds, as well as other basic things like causing a wound to stop bleeding.
  • Herbalism (Apprentice): there are a couple of plants that Sylvie can identify and use for first aid.
  • Although she has a lot of experience being a midwife, it is not a skill she has used recently, so she is a bit rusty.
  • The results of her stitches and bone settings are not always pretty. She generally had to do these in a hurry.
  • Sylvie's knowledge of useful herbs is very limited, and she does not have a green thumb by any means.


  • Education and Learning: Sylvie learned these skills because she needed to defend herself and her family.

Previous Packs and Ranks

Casa di Cavalieri (October 2013 - Present)

Growing up in a typical Luperci dominant pack in Quebec, Sylvie was constantly drawn to exploration. Her parents abandoned her and left her as a small pup just inside the packs territory, where she was found and raised as an apprentice to the pack Midwife. After two years of working in the profession the young coyote decided to leave. her curiosity for the world drawing her away from her home.

Sylvie spent most of her life traveling across Canada, joining many packs for brief periods of time, but she never found the excitement she was looking for. As she grew older she began to feel a tug for domestication and tried forming relationships with various males, but all ended poorly.

Eventually she found a young Jackson Bouchard and Vincent Bouchard living by themselves as pick pockets in a city and vowed to take care of them. When the brothers became adults they were drawn to the waters and purchased a boat with stolen goods. From that day forward Sylvie traveled the waters with her young charges, forgiving their actions and caring for the other orphans that joined the pirate crew, including Julien Gauthier.

Her pirates began getting more and more violent, mainly with the addition of a female named Claudine Lavoie. She got Vincent, and sometimes Jackson, to do many things that Sylvie was sure they would otherwise not have done. Still, after watching them do her dirty work, sometimes just for entertainment, Sylvie was afraid to speak out against them. In the fall of 2013, they came up with the idea to attack Casa di Cavalieri. Their plan eventually failed, ending in the deaths of all of Sylvie's charges except for Julien. She and Julien were then taken prisoner by Casa di Cavalieri. Their ship, the Avalon, was seized as part of the spoils for the victors.

Sylvie was never one to sit still, and so she started trying to prove her worth to the pack who decided to spare her. She wanted to show them that they made the right decision. Her efforts paid off, allowing her to be given a true rank. At this point, she took up residence on the Avalon, and Julien did as well. Sylvie continued to rise, growing to trust the pack while making friends. She traveled to other packs, including Krokar, and started to get to know Lorenzo Knight.

Everything seemed to be going well until the spring of 2015 another group of loners called the Syndicate attacked the pack, changing everything Sylvie thought about Casa. It started with scouts, one of whom Sylvie drove off. Then a pair of them were captured, and to her horror, the pack voted to kill them, and Lorenzo was one who wanted that result. The rose colored glasses were wrenched off her face: the pack as a whole were no longer the noble knights she had come to know, though many had voted to hold them as prisoners. In her opinion, many were reduced to simple killers. During the turmoil she felt, the loners from Halifax attacked the fort and Sylvie was drawn out, along with Julien, to help protect the pack.

In the aftermath, Sylvie struggled with the decision to stay in Casa, especially after Jazper Rhiannon-Knight, the leader she respected, retired to Midnight Shores to be with his love. She also wanted to try to repair the doubt she felt for Lorenzo, and the pair went on a scouting mission in Halifax to look for anymore Syndicate members. There, they found a puppy named Xavier, and orphan whose parents were Syndicate members. Sylvie and Lorenzo brought him back to Casa where he lives on the Avalon with Sylvie.

    With their ship found, Casa takes the pirates by surprise and is eventually victorious. Sylvie and Julien Gauthier are taken captive.
