1.  Appearance

Spine is exotic in appearance, with a vast majority of his dog heritage having leaked into his physicality alone. His pelt is composed of a rich white, dabbled here and there in faded cream colors, and rarely visible. The only large abnormality in his coloration is in a rich golden stripe that goes from his lower back to the tip of his tail, aiding in the reason for his strange name. The fur that adorns his body is thin and short, very unlike that of a wolf. Spine stands on the larger side of medium, sporting a thick frame and a muscular physique. His chest is boxy and wide. He has the build of a fighter. Concrete muscles make up most of the body mass in his biceps. His back is long and leads to a broad and robust set of shoulders. It is evident that the male is in the prime of his youth. Long legs lead to powerful thighs composed of pure brawn and sinew. If not for the power behind his movements, and the determination in each step, Spine would not appear half as intimidating as he does.

For the most part, the wolfdog sports a curling smirk on his dark lips. His handsome amber eyes always tend to hold an air of mystery, if not trouble. While is body is rich in muscle and brawn, there is a playful air about Spine’s appearance. He holds himself with a careless determination, often taking on the appearance of manifested nonchalance. There is a certain charm to the way that Spine presents himself. Always well-groomed and preened, the pale wolf is nothing short of handsome based on appearance alone.

Spine really has no sense of style. His clothing is minimal. The beast frequently strolls about in nothing but dark charcoal-colored pants that are cut at the knees. Spine does own a fair set of armor that he crafted himself. Leather pauldrons that cover his shoulders, thick leather bracers that cover the length of his forearms, and leather greaves for his legs. Spine has very few possessions, but what he does own has been with him for a good majority of his life. His choice of weaponry is in two daggers that are always at his side or fastened around his ankles. Spine also has a charcoal-colored head-scarf that he uses when traveling in high sun hours or in bad weather to shield his face from the environment. He has a satchel that carries a set of tools for crafting armor and weapons – a craft that Spine takes great pride in – and a few dirty possessions that appear to be of no value to anyone but the pale nomad.

2.  Personality

Spine is a rogue of a character. He has very little to do with anything good that happens in the world, but carries himself with such a careless charm that he manages to get away with murder. His lifestyle has been nothing short of chaotic. Spine goes where he pleases, takes what he wants, never apologizes, and then moves on to the next area of settlement. He has a renegade sense of morals and does not appear to be afraid of crossing lines. The pale wolfdog is a manipulative and sleazy man, born on the idea that a self-serving life is the only life one must lead. Being that he has very little regard for those around him, it is very difficult for Spine to make friends. Although he has a tendency to form short relationships with others, none of them have lasted more than six months.

In spite of his carelessness and lack of regard, Spine is something of a business man. His passion is in thievery and crafting, and he has focused his life on expanding that desire to create. Spine carries with him a set of tools used to craft weaponry, and several utensils for making armor of varying materials. He is a crafter, and can almost always be found melding something for creation.

The wolfdog’s personality can change with the flip of a coin. He’s fairly laid-back and easy to get along with, though he does have a tendency to be overbearingly cold-shouldered or even feral. Spine is fiercely independent and does not take kindly to others insisting that he needs help. The exotic male can seem strangely nonchalant and even careless at times, but he is a sharp character. Quick fingers and an eye for shiny objects, Spine is a successful thief and swindler. While he does appear to be something of a trickster, it is in his clumsy charm that people find him most trustworthy. He is open about his desires and rarely sees a need to conceal any want that he may have. Spine is biased against non-luperci and has been known to start fights with the intention of killing.

3.  History

Spine’s story starts in the far south, where trees fade away to endless sands and creatures of the forest become animals of the desert. The land was harsh, but a small group of wolves and hybrids seemed to find the location ideal for pack life. Spine was born to Sekhet and Ghost Arsenio. He was the eldest of four with three siblings; two sisters named Moth and Pike, as well as a brother who was called Hallow. Their family was incredibly close. Spine and his siblings were raised on the idea that the wolves of the desert were sacred creatures who could take whatever they wanted. They were praised by the Gods. The Arsenio family was glorified because of their unmarred appearances and strange, exotic breeding. The wolves of the desert pack were primarily coyote mixes, or full-blooded. The Arsenio wolves were bizarre, but their needs were catered to by the others. When Spine grew tired of pampering, the young boy sought to steal from another nearby pack. The rival pack became hostile after and sought revenge. Early morning brought an attack that wiped out a good majority of the small desert pack, leaving only the Arsenio children and their father Ghost. When Ghost learned of Spine’s role in the attack, he banished his children from their land and demanded that they never return.

Spine took to the banishment without a hitch. He spent his first year wandering oasis lands and teaching his siblings how to fend for themselves in hard times. Hallow became a quick fighter and a talented horseman. Pike was deadly with a spear, and Moth taught herself about the use of poisons and darts. They were a talented team for more than a year, but when Spine spoke of his desire to discover what was further north, his siblings quickly abandoned him. Having grown far more independent, the wolfdog set out on a course without his siblings, and took to his own skills. In the time he spent away from his home, and shortly after his father had banished him, Spine had taught himself to craft basic weapons and armor. This skill only grew in the years that followed. He spent a greater portion of his life as a nomad, but oftentimes considered settling down.
