Silent Dawn

Silent Dawn was one of the founding packs of Bleeding Souls, founded by Fireside Ruby Wolf in the Moaning Wood?. Fireside Ruby Wolf led the pack for some time, but a lack of interest eventually put her at the Gamma rank. Following her, there was only steady leadership when Alorran and his adopted son Romney lead the pack; the revolving door of leadership eventually led to the pack's demise.

1.  History

1.1  Written History

Silent Dawn was one of the original packs of Bleeding Souls, formed by a fiery female named Fireside Ruby Wolf. Some say that she was touched with madness, but others speak highly of her reign. It is hard to say, most who knew her are dead or have vanished from the land. During her time, several wolves would come to know the position of beta and gamma during Ruby's rule, among them a beta named Aisha, and gamma named SoloTree who both vanished soon afterwards. A male named Alorran would also rise in the pack, becoming the co-alpha alongside Ruby for a short time.

A dark-furred male named Bloodblack would become beta male, alongside Aisha. Another male would take his place, Kapugen, in the coming months. Ruby would leave shortly after, leaving Alorran as the alpha. It was during his rule the war between Clouded Tears and Silent Dawn would begin, brought on out of bad blood and an attack on Alorran by a Clouded Tears member. The golden alpha also found love during his life, in the form of the alpha of Jaded Shadows, Mordulin. Their affair would result in offspring, though largely kept secret. Alorran's adopted son Romney, who was not one of the children of the affair, would rise to gamma in Silent Dawn.

Aisha would vanish during the war, as would several members, and not long after, the golden alpha himself would leave. Though his son Romney seemed destined for the rank, he too vanished and his sister, Faye, would take over. With the leader ranks nearly empty, she promoted two males, Nosferatu Traum and Bloodblack, to beta and gamma respectively. Aisha would return in this time, but vanished just as quickly. It would not take long before Faye left and her brother returned, and he would rule for nearly as long as his father had.

1.2  Timeline

• 18 November 2001 — Silent Dawn is founded just south of Storm's territory, in what would later become Moaning Wood?, by FiresideRubyWolf.
• December 2001 — SoloTree is promoted to Gamma of Silent Dawn, but she is soon replaced by Aisha.
• 16 March 2002 — Silent Dawn has a meeting. Fireside Ruby Wolf, SoloTree, Bloodblack, Aisha, Kapugen, HorrorsAnguish, Argent Noirci, Alorran and Shadow are in attendance. Noirci is promoted to Elder, Aisha is promoted to Beta, Horrors is promoted to Jager. Ruby warns everyone not to go crazy makin' the babies in springtime. ;D ^[1]
• 26 March 2002 — Silent Dawn has a small hunt. HorrorsAnguish, Bloodblack, Shadow and Kapugen attend. Horrors was recently appointed the trainer's position within the pack, and he wished to fulfill his duties by assisting the other wolves in learning more hunting techniques. ^[2]
• 21 May 2002 — Fireside Ruby Wolf returns to Silent Dawn to find Alorran creeping up the ranks, having attained the gamma (third in command) rank in the pack. The meeting is short and uncomfortable. ^[3]
• 02 June 2002 — Kaena Lykoi and Aisha fight. Aisha calls Kaena a "half wolf" and Kae goes "Oh no she didn't!" in a lot more words. The two fight to a draw. This is part of the Coyote Invasion plot. ^[4]
• 14 June 2002 — Alorran is promoted to Alpha Male of Silent Dawn. Fireside Ruby Wolf, Bloodblack, Aisha, Shadow, Pyrazephyr, Kapugen, Blitzaugen, and Nyssa are in attendance.
• July 2002 — Taaktuq Piqaluyak briefly becomes the alpha female of Silent Dawn, but she leaves shortly thereafter.
• July 2002 — Alorran leaves Miriam in charge of Silent Dawn for a very brief time, approximately two weeks.
• August 2002 — Alorran returns shortly thereafter and reclaims Silent Dawn from Miriam, who then leaves.
• August 05, 2002 — Dawn-Tears War Begins. Nirupama Rashmi heads to Silent Dawn to inform them of Argent Noirci's death, as he originally hailed from the Dawn pack. Despite the alpha Alorran's politeness, Rashmi is understandably upset, and reacts poorly. ^[6]
• September 2002 — FiresideRubyWolf disappears completely, leaving sole leadership of Silent Dawn to Alorran. He quickly promotes his adoptive son, Romney into the Beta position.
• 06 October 2002 — Blitzaugen of Silent Dawn meanders through the woods. Coyote Kesho Maisha shows up on the scene and starts to be a total creeper, lying to Blitz about his name and so forth. Shortly afterward, Yasu Zarah also arrives, though she chooses to taunt the wolf, daring him to attack her despite her wounded condition. Kesho manages to convince Blitz otherwise, and the wolf even goes so far as to offer Zarah medical help. RiotYote also shows up, along with another wolf, but the party disperses before any serious trouble occurs. However, this marks the point where the coyotes—especially Zarah and RiotYote, who served in a clan together prior to re-encountering one another in Bleeding Souls—realize they aren't alone, and the beginnings of Inferni are here. ^[7]
• 08 October 2002 — There is a small meeting in Silent Dawn centering around foreign languages. Blitzaugen, Kapugen, and Nosferatu Traum hang out. Both Nos and Blitz speak German (along with Nikki of Silent Dawn, while Kapu speaks French. ^[8]
• 11 October 2002 — Nikki and Shadow of Silent Dawn converge on Clouded Tears wolves Ceres Sadira and Freak Oriel at the edge of the Tears pack territory. Though Nikki and Shadow are intent on discovering the truth of the rumors surrounding the interaction between Nirupama Rashmi and Alorran, Ceres and Freak don't receive them well. Freak( Oriel beats Shadow and Nikki beats Ceres, essentially meaning the battle is a draw. ^[9]
• 12 January 2003 — There is an altercation involving a few wolves and coyotes in the Crystal Caverns. Shadowfax and Blitzaugen are attacked by Kesho Maisha and RiotYote. ^[10]
• 31 January 2003 — The leadership of Silent Dawn, Romney and Nikki, begins to get lovey-dovey. ^[11]
• 10 February 2003 — * There is a Clouded Tears and Silent Dawn altercation. Ravyn Stormbringer is attacked by Nosferatu Traum and Romney. A loner, Tiku, joins the fray to defend Ravyn, until Tigra Sunbound also jumps in, outnumbering the pair of wolves. ^[12]
• July 14, 2003 - Dawn-Tears War Ends — Faye becomes Alpha Female of Silent Dawn after the beta (her brother) Romney and the alpha, Alorran disappear. Nosferatu Traum, Tigra Sunbound, Xiomara Aurora, Aisha, Bloodblack, Nitro, Yamushi, Drusilla Ilysa Sangre, Kennedy, and Ilkhan are in attendance. Faye introduces herself as the Alpha Female and explains why she has the position--her blood relationship to Romney--and informs the pack that teamwork is necessary for proper pack functions. ^{[13], [14]}
• Summer 2003 — At some point, Romney returns from his absence and regains control of Silent Dawn. Faye departs for parts unknown.
• 12 November 2003 — Romney and Nosferatu Traum were hunting when they encounter a cougar. It attacks them, and Romney is severely injured. Beta Nosferatu Traum rushes back to Silent Dawn, and he rallies them to try and recover their alpha. Aliat, Xiomara Aurora, Drusilla Ilysa Sangre, Nikki, Nitro, Tigra Sunbound, Kennedy, and Kirin attend, and they attempt to find Romney, but are unsuccessful and he is presumed dead. Control of the pack passes to Nosferatu. ^[15]
• December 2003 — Nosferatu Traum disappears from Silent Dawn, leaving it leaderless for a few days.
• January 1, 2004 — Taaktuq Piqaluyak assumes leadership of Celestial Hollow. ^[16] Celestial Hollow is taken to Moaning Wood? by Taaktuq, its ranks combined with the leaderless Silent Dawn pack. Taaktuq recruits Damian de le Poer to help her lead. They call their hybrid pack Chimera. Silent Dawn is officially defunct.

2.  Pack Relationships

2.1  Key ♥ — Actively warring or recently warring or otherwise experiencing conflict. ♥ — Poor relationship. It's pretty clear these guys don't like each other much. ♥ — Neutral. ♥ — Good relationship, but no official alliance. ♥ — Officially allied.
Storm ♥ There really wasn't much of anything that went on between these two packs; they mostly ignored one another, I think. Stormy Blackwolf was never particularly friendly with any of the Silent Dawn alphas but FiresideRuby? and by the time anyone else was alpha of Storm, Silent Dawn was long dissolved. Clouded Tears ♥ The was the first war of Bleeding Souls, spurred over a misunderstanding regarding the alpha male of Clouded Tears, Argent Noirci's death following a hunt. Jaded Shadows ♥ Though the Beta of this pack, Salvaged Eternity, raped Nikki, the beta of Silent Dawn, and caused her death in childbirth, there weren't really any consequences for it. But, at one point Sal and Damian de le Poer were, uh, close, to say the least. This never actually developed into a good relationship between the packs, though, as Damian was well aware of Sal's darker tendencies.	Inferni ♥ Inferni was ambivalent toward Silent Dawn for the most part and vice versa; during the the Dawn pack was not exempt from coyote violence, but beyond that they didn't bother one another. Celestial Hollow ♥ Eventually, Celestial Hollow and Silent Dawn combined, but prior to their combination they weren't truly friendly, they were just kind of there with one another. :D
