Octavia is coyote, through and through, with a sleek coat befitting more so her warmer-climate counterparts. Octavia's plush, dense coat is a creamy gray agouti with markings reminiscent to her father's, with a base of Hillary across her entire body. It darkens first into Bandicoot along her arms and legs, and then into Heavy Metal along her shoulders, hips, at the base of her tail, and a hood over her head. Right in between her ears, in between her shoulder blade, and the very base of her tail are accents of Log Cabin. In the center of her back, her stomach, and her chest up her neck her fur lightens into Ash. Her eyes, which are Driftwood, are outlined in that shade as well. Her hair, which is thick and has a full, loose bodywave, is the same Log Cabin shade as the darkest parts of her spine. Her nose and paw pads are both Cod Gray. She has sharply tapered features and almond-shaped eyes that lend her face to naturally rest in a coy, fox-like expression. The natural playfulness of her expression is contrasted by her very proper, upright posture and well-contained demeanor. Her movements are purposeful and she puts as much care into the way she moves as she does the way she speaks, generally keeping very still. She does not fidget. While she is still somewhat young, and hasn't yet fully grown into adulthood, she has the beginnings of a leggy hourglass figure. She is petite otherwise, standing at only 5'1" (155cm). Octavia has a large cautery scar stretching from the middle of the left side of her neck, down to just below the middle of her collarbones. At just under a year of having it, the scar is still the shiny pink of healing flesh, but no longer pains her. Octavia generally wears one of her few dresses and finds her hair, which goes down to her shoulder blades and is near-luxuriously thick, difficult to manage, and often opts for tying it back in a loose bun. |

Overview |
Octavia is very reserved and deliberate. The way she comports herself is a direct extension of her personality, which is one that is extremely withdrawn. She has a rich inner world with an active internal monologue and is very thoughtful and slow to anger. She never acts rashly and always takes time to consider options or figure out a plan -- even if she only has seconds to spare to think about something, she will take those seconds for consideration.
She is very slow to develop relationships with anyone, choosing to take her time and invest in people that will be genuine, lifelong friends. Once someone has grown close enough, they will find her to be a warm and inviting friend with an easy, throaty laugh. In social settings, she is more likely to cling to the wall and converse with one or two close companions, rather than seek people out. While she is reserved and tends to keep to herself, she does not mind chatting with acquaintances or friendly strangers, so long as she feels comfortable in the environment she's in.
In her studies and eventual work, however, she is entirely different. She is dedicated and studious and dislikes interruption. Tia has a strong work ethic and likes to buckle down and devote herself to her passions and her education. She is strongly motivated to learn and master medicine so as to not disappoint her family and to provide a need within her pack.

Tia is desperate for her mother's approval above all else. Nearly everything that she does is informed by her desire to make her mother proud - she has climbed in rank, integrated herself within the pack's hierarchy, and taken occupations, all with the hopes that word of her achievements makes it back to Palisade and her mother's ears. She has no personal goals beyond rank ascension, nor does she aspire to have any sort of happiness. |

Following her mother's settling into her position as Proprietor of Palisade, it was not long until the birth of Octavia and her brother. Raised in relative luxury due to her mother's status, Octavia's life was still one of duty. She was expected to learn about herbalism, gardening, and the spiritual practices of her family's faith. She took on her solemn and staid demeanor over time spent with her mother as she trained. Even during her largely idyllic puppyhood, prior to her shifting, she was taught in the ways of plants, identifying what was safe and what was poison, as well as where and how to find them. Following her first shift, her training became more involved as she learned how to garden, repot plants, how to sprout leaf and stem from seed. She learned how to create basic tinctures and medicines, and as she learned the art of herbalism, she also learned to write and take careful notes of her knowledge. Octavia became studious and quiet, focusing only on the knowledge she needed to become a merchant and medic in the Ardoix fashion.
Shortly after Octavia's first shift, Octavia happened upon a young cat, trapped and injured, and took him home. He was a hissing, spitting, angry little beast, but she took care of his wound and nursed him back to full health, when he became only angrier. As they spent time together, though, and she named him Oleander, he became a loyal, if rude, friend and close companion.
Eventually, she began to desire for a change of scenery, and after speaking with her mother made the decision to move to Del Cenere Gang, the pack that her mother had been in and liaised with. There, she would be exposed to new faces and new knowledge, under the tutelage of someone other than her mother. She arrived in a humid, sultry June with her belongings and awful cat in tow, excited at the new prospects awaiting her.
