Michaelyn is the daughter of Mary Mayes and Michael Mayes, born in the southern American wilderness. Her family was part of a small group of religious missionaries that traveled to spread the gospel and provide aid to those that need it.
She was raised to be a soldier after the group discovered her passionate but uncharismatic nature. This made her no less devote, and she began to foster her own ideals of righteousness and good. Michaelyn often sought to defend the innocent and punish those who wished to harm with little mercy or involvement. She became increasingly popular with outsiders and began to be employed for mercenary work.
Her fire and dogma was not approved in the group, however. Already nontraditional by a measure—a woman-warrior without softness and rarely operating within the group's standards—Michaelyn's vigilantism was viewed as reckless and unruly. Some felt threatened, spiritually and mortally.
But none could complain. She brought converts and followers to those who were inspired. One in particular stood out to Michaelyn—a wolf girl similar in age from a family she freed from enslavement.
A tender friendship blossomed in the spring of 2015, and while an arranged marriage was made between Michaelyn and a man of the group, it was hardly a determent. The two girls grew closer, and on one summer evening their relationship was discovered by her betrothed. After an attempt of sexual assault, Michaelyn murdered, mutilated, and burned the man in a passionate rage.
Unable to explain her defense—lest reveal what was considered a sin that the women shared and endanger her lover—she abandoned the group and ran northeast. Unbounded by the limits of her group and darkened with the blood of a murdered man, she continues her vigilantism without restraint. Peace is a stranger as she continues her journey north in fear of retribution and revelation.

1.1 Summary
Michaelyn is fire—as warm and welcoming as a hearth to the weary, but as hot and damning as hellfire to the wicked. She is a woman of many passions and does not know what it means to feel lukewarm about even the smallest of things.
She is a friend to all who inspire to do good and considers herself an ally to those who share her virtues. Although she finds difficulty in forming relationships due to her tactless nature (and antagonizing a sensitive few into anger), Michaelyn is hard to deter once she sets her mind to something.
She is, however, not without secrets and insecurities. Haunted by her demons, she is running in more ways than one. But a flame burns its brightest when surrounded by darkness.

Speech: Loud and boisterous. Her pitch is deep and strong but distinctly feminine. Michaelyn is not afraid to speak her mind, for better or worse, and colors her words with many tones. Her voice is accented with a southern American dialect.
Scent: Personal scent is primarily forest, fresh earth, and lavender. In most cases, she smells of whatever location she is stationed in at that time.
Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Very open gestures, often emphasizing her speech with hand and body movements. Quirks include pushing her hair back, sucking on her teeth, and spitting at the ground—latter two due to her dipping habit.
