Lucian Amaranthe is the son of Akantha Amaranthe, former Adcredo of Sapient, and is the middle child of three puppies born on January 18th, 2016. Lucian's father, with whom Akantha had had a brief, but passionate, affair, remains an unknown in his life though he has been told that he has his bright, green eyes. Despite the mystery of his paternal heritage, Lucian has little faith that he will ever learn the identity of his father and does not consider seeking this information out to be worth his while.
Pompous and vain, the best description for Lucian is this: he has a punchable face. Lucian is the apple of his mother's eye, an over-eager sly dog who is constantly on the look out for that something more. He has the distinction of being Akantha's favorite son and he has been careful to keep her impression of him positive, innocent, and full of pride. When she departed from Sapient proper to the University of New England, Lucian became less concerned about his questionable actions getting back to her.
Ever eager in his pursuit for recognition and power, Lucian jumped at the opportunity to travel to Onuba with his mother and sister at the end of March 2017. He has aspirations to apprentice under his grandmother, the Baronesa of Onuba, and perfect his douchery socio-political talents before returning.

1.1 Essentials
Overview
Species: Of his siblings, Lucian is arguably most like a wolf in appearance. However, his larger than normal ears and more refined muzzle give a nod to his coyote heritage. There is little to suggest he has any dog blood in his genome.
Fur: Straight, coarse, and thick. With his dark earthen pelt, Lucian looks the most like a Revlis-born of all of his siblings.
Optime Hair: One word: pompadour.
Facial Features: Haughty and pompous, Lucian always has a wry, often crooked, smile on his face. He has the typical green eyes characteristic of the Revlis family.
Humanization: Relatively high. Having been raised in a highly humanized pack by a mother who seems to respect her appearance, Lucian has grown to admire clothing, style, and hygiene.

Lucian is a pompous dandy with a deeply narcissistic streak, putting an incredible amount of time and thought into his appearance. Before even leaving his room, he is careful to tease his mane into an immaculate pompadour and never wears clothing that does not meet his strict criteria.
Flirtacious to the core, Lucian prefers the company of women and excels at using his gifts in charisma and charm to impress and woo them, though handsome, effeminate, men are not always spared from his attention. Regardless of the gender, Lucian likes to spend a great deal of his time in the company of others.
Though he can be a fun and enjoyable person to hang out with, Lucian is undoubtedly an arrogant man and is prone to bouts of envy, selfishness, and unreliability. So while he typically has no trouble making friends, keeping them around for long can be challenging for him.

Akantha: Mother dearest! Lucian loves his mother but knows that he has her wrapped around his little finger. He isn't afraid to use manipulation and favoritism to his advantage if he thinks it will help him get what he wants.
Odalis: Though he has the tendency to pick on her, Lucian loves his little sister and wants a good relationship with her but has a difficult time showing it. Only time will tell what will happen with their relationship.
Solomon: Lucian's brother and rival. Solomon seems almost like a father figure to his siblings and outwardly this annoys Lucian, though he might appreciate the effort inwardly. Their relationship may or may not improve.
Tiamat: Tia is one of Lucian's cousins. He likes to get her riled up by teasing or insulting her or telling lies about her dad, who was a member of Sapient when he was younger. As a pup, he would then get her into trouble if she lashed out physically at him. He has little love for her.
Sloan Ortega: Despite her ruined eyes and scarred face, Lucian finds Sloan attractive and intriguing. He likes spending time with her, not just because of she's a woman but because she's fun, confident, and daring. Lucian sometimes uses her poor vision to his advantage and isn't above trickery or fabrication in order to seem more chivalrous than he actually is.

Lucian Amaranthe was born in Sapient on January 18th, 2016 to Akantha alongside siblings Solomon and Odalis. His mother's golden child, Lucian was careful to keep up an air of sweet innocence around Akantha while he was growing up though truthfully he was anything but. Sly, untruthful, and power-hungry, Lucian spent his childhood more in the company of the other youths in the pack rather than with his brother and sister. Though something of an opportunistic child, he has never been above lying or bullying to get what he wants.
As he aged, he grew even more distant from his siblings — particularly Solomon — and formed a brother-like bond with Dareios Ahearne and a significant crush on Sloan Ortega. After she ruined her face in an attempt to correct her poor vision, Lucian took the opportunity to get closer to her and weasel his way into her life, regularly taking advantage of her worsened eyesight so he could spend more time with her.
Lucian played a role in defending his pack from adversaries during the Familia Sugit conflict in early 2017 but was not terribly serious in his actions. Despite his lack of experience in any formal combat, he came away relatively unscathed — the worst of his altercations resulting in a tear in one of his outfits.
After the conflict, Lucian focused more on his budding relationship with Sloan. But that did not keep him from scoping out others, something that failed spectacularly on him when he made advances on her sister, Nieve — an act that was not reciprocated. Feeling snubbed, Lucian began spreading rumors about Nieve behind her back which lead to a confrontation with Sloan and further fallout from others.
It was perhaps for this reason that, when he discovered that his mother was going back to Onuba to get married, Lucian jumped at the chance to get away from the drama and join his family across the ocean. Excited at the prospect of possibly apprenticing under his powerful grandmother, he departed from Sapient at the end of March to start a new chapter in his life.
