Key Relations

• Haku Amarok — Kino's brother and most consistent traveling companion. She relies on him for his company, his humour, and his willingness to speak when she does not.
• Amorette Aston — Kino's mother. They have a tempestuous relationship and Kino is still processing how she feels about her mother's choices in life. She respects her mother, but she also wishes they had been more of a true family. While she does not blame her mother for Anathema's disbandment — how could she? — her memories of her mother are tinged with regret

• Kohaku Amarok — Kino's father. His execution solidified her sense of abandonment and she wishes desperately that her father was someone different; anyone different. She feels a deep sense of betrayal by what he has done, but at the same time, wishes she'd had the opportunity to really meet him, as he was executed by the pack shortly after she was born.
