1. Appearance
1.1 Essentials
Basics
Kai is a high-jackal content hybrid which shows in his light frame, large ears, and bushy tail. His fur reflects his small amount of wolf blood in him, being darker than a full-blooded jackal, although he still has the light stripe on his sides. In Lupus form, he looks about the same as a regular jackal. As he shifts into Secui, he gains more fur around his neck, an even bushier tail, and feathering around his legs. His Optime form is the one he prefers the most, with the advantage of hands. His Optime hair is nearly black and messily pulled back into either a ponytail or low bun to keep it out of his face. Kai also has a small nick in his left ear.
Speech: Kai has an... odd accent, to say the least. Sometimes it sounds Italian, sometimes Spanish, and sometimes it has an East End lit.
Scent: Metal, pine, wood, herbs, hint of saltwater
Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Kai is loud for such a small fellow. He tries to make himself taller than he looks by puffing his chest and standing high on his toes, with ears pricked forwards.
General Posture and Body Language: Confident and upfront. He's not afraid to get in someone's face, even if they're two feet above him in terms of height.

Non-Luperci: Kai grew up in a humanized culture, and generally thinks non-Luperci are missing out.

Color: He automatically dislikes Luperci who choose to dye their fur, thinking it's weird and unnatural.
Sexuality: No bias, although he does think overly "lovey-dovey" types are weird and gross.
Age: Elders are wise but useless, according to Kai. Children are annoying but necessary.

Aromantic: Kai does not experience either romantic or sexual desires for anyone, regardless of gender. However, he can form close, platonic bonds with others, although he would feel they're more like siblings than romantic partners.
Spirituality
Kai doesn't believe in any particular god or gods, although he does believe in superstitions, luck, fate, and karma. When it's convenient for him, of course.
Substances
Still being young, Kai hasn't had much time to discover his substance preferences. He does like the taste of wine, but he hasn't tried anything much stronger than that. He also doesn't look down on others who smoke or drink, but rather wants to be more like them.

Mistral de l'Or was a jerk once, let me tell you how bad it was
Kai Vincent was born to a couple of jackal traders hailing from West Africa, although he hardly remembers them. As soon as he first shifted, Kai's parents up and left him for reasons he may never know. Growing up on the streets of one of the largest Luperci cities in the world, the young jackal boy soon learned how to steal and con to survive. He met Fredrick the cat one day, after running from some unfriendly wolves and hiding out in a trash can that the animal was scavenging in. They didn't get along at first, but then became reluctant partners in crime, helping each other attain food and goods.
Kai then began wondering if there was something more than this sort of life, and one cold winter day, he gathered his belongings, convinced Fred to come along, and set off in a ship to North America, to the city known as Portland, where he currently resides.
