Jura

Jura's is an Arctic Wolf born and bred in Calgary. After her sister's unfortunate death, Jura broke away from her family and pack and started her journey west until she eventually hit sea in Nova Scotia. She joined the freshly formed pack of Mistfell Vale in 2018 where she worked on restoring a dilapidated farmhouse and cooking up grub for her new packmates.

In the winter of 2018, while out hunting, a former packmate from Calgary approached her. He had been sent to track her down and bring her back. Jura was reluctant to leave the life she'd built for herself, and attempted to leave. However, her former packmate, Jeremiah, threatened her family's wellbeing if she didn't come immediately. When she arrived, she found her former pack in a horrendous state. Previously a fairly neutrally aligned group, some nasty usurpers had taken over and had let those under their care begin to starve. Her mother was still alive. A few days after arriving, she tried to get her mother to leave with her but she refused - blindly loyal to the pack she'd been a part of her whole life. Not wanting to leave her mother defenceless in the rotten pack, Jura stayed and endured. After her mother's passing, Jura left - as had most of the other members - and travelled back towards Nova Scotia skinnier and with a bit of a colder heart.

Jura is a former member of Mistfell Vale.

1.  Appearance

1.1  Basics

Essentials Species: Arctic Wolf (100%) Fur: Her fur is thick and longish, sometimes bordering on shaggy but it's perfect for the winter climate. Optime Hair: Unstyled most days as she prefers to be in her Secui form, however, she likes to braid it back when she has the time, although she finds it a bit fiddly to do herself. Facial Features: Short, stubby muzzle with small ears with a roundish face typical of her breed. Build and Size: Jura is a little below average height, much to her chagrin, and keeps lean thanks to near-constant travel. She stands tall with her shoulders rolled back, but tends to keep her head dipped a little. Lupus: Pretty average - no piercings or ornaments to distinguish her. Optime: She's a travelling gal without a bag, so right now she has no clothes and no adornments apart from the occasional braid in her hair. Humanization: Braids her hair, tied with some buckskin. Carries an old kitchen knife taken from her farmhouse in Mistfell Vale with her. She travels with it sheathed in some more worn buckskin and tied with some rope around her waist.

2.  Personality

Jura likes to see the best in people, despite having seen some of the worst in people. She believes that given the right guidance, anyone can do good. The female is by no means bubbly or incredibly talkative but nevertheless finds it easy enough to strike up conversation when need be.

She’s quite intuitive, both with people and her surroundings. It has served her well, as her previously sheltered life made it so she knew not much about the big wide world before she left home. Jura is extremely tolerant and listens to what anyone and everyone has to say, even if she doesn’t agree. Coming from her sheltered younf life, everything is pretty much out of the norm for her so she tries to take everything and evryone in her stride rather than lash out at things she doesn't fully understand. She knows she doesn’t have all the answers, although she may seem like she thinks she does, and likes to learn from others. Her ego isn’t big, but is pretty easily hurt. Anything she tries, she puts her all into, like her cooking. She might not take it well if someone insults her efforts, and if you catch her on a bad day, you might get some nasty words hurled at you. Most of the time though, she instead keeps anything truly nasty inside to either fester or fade.

Her weakness lies in her overachieving nature. She often over-exerts herself to the point of exhaustion over even menial tasks. If she’s doing a task for someone else she’ll to it to perfection, lest they think less of her abilities. She can grow quite irritable, tunnel-visioned and frantic if something in her control doesn’t come together, most likely stemming from the circumstances of her sister’s death.
