• A foulmouthed stray cat from Hong Kong who loves travelling almost as much as he loves leeching off of others. Smarter than most of his kind, he taught himself to speak High Speech and is quick to learn different dialects. After meeting in Saigon, he and Văn Hiến agreed that if Văn Hiến provided for him and brought him on his travels, Yijun would act as his translator to help him find his estranged sibling.

  • Lupus: Shorter and thinner than average. Very low to the ground. Clearly the runt of the litter.
  • Secui: Bigger and stockier, but still smaller than average. Scruffy red clumps of hair start to fill out his mane.

  • His family was already ashamed of his weakness and feminine disposition, so he repressed all sexual desires out of fear and desperation to be accepted.

Spirituality

Người của Ngài: He was raised in this cult as the son of its current leader, Thuy Văn Linh, and younger brother to its future leader, Ánh Văn Linh.

Even after he defected, his upbringing and tie to the Linh family meant he stayed devout to his god, Kim Quy, even after leaving the community. He still fears and respects Kim Quy, and is constantly afraid that he'll be struck down for defecting and disobeying his god's tenets.

He still follows through with Sunrise and Sunset Worship, but since he no longer has Cấm Sơn Lake to perform Nightly Judgement at, he uses any body of water he can find to follow through with the ritual simply out of fear and discipline. During Nightly Judgement, he begs Kim Quy to spare him for one more day, just until he finds his brother. He always promises his god that he'll go back to a life of purity and become a loyal servent the moment Người của Ngài's true future leader, his estranged brother, now supposed sister, is found.

In the meantime, he refuses to accept that he is meant to be the future leader in Ánh's stead. He does not feel worthy of such a position and will stop at nothing until their rightful leader is found, even if leaving their community to search for Ánh directly disobeys their current leader's orders and breaks several of Kim Quy's sacred tenets.

Substances

Văn Hiến refuses to self-medicate in any form. He won't even touch alcohol due to his religion's tenets of physical purity. Despite this, he will drain his prey of excess blood and drink and cook with it to help battle his anemia.

Strengths

• Painting: Văn Hiến was born with a natural gift for the arts, and is especially adept as his chosen medium— painting. Unfortunately for him, painting is seen as a feminine practice and only used to worship Kim Quy by depicting him on their temple walls. He kept his desire and talent a secret after being punished for it in his youth, only confiding in Ánh to show him his work in secret. It is one of his deepest shames and he is so indoctrinated that he believes he deserves to be struck down for such sinful desires. Despite this, he still practices in secret and is growing more confident in his work the longer he's away from Đất của Ngài.
