MARCH '19
Fennore arrives into playable 'Souls territory after a long journey from Colorado, where her clan was nested. Finally, she can take control of her own life! ... Even if she's not quite sure how to, yet. It's kind of a quiet month aside from that, and she begins anew with nothing but the clothes on her back and the gear in her travel pack.

APRIL '19
Things begin to pick up, and she is introduced to a band of refugees from a fallen kingdom, Caledonia. She takes a particular liking to the Caledonian scout, Tamlin Anor, and agrees to meet his King and learn more of their plight. In the end, she is convinced to join them and assist them reestablish what they had lost. She also meets her kitty, Macha!

    A golden scout, Tamlin Anor, wakes Fennore from her napping in a flowering field; after some initial discomfort, the two chat and seem to hit it off.

    Tamlin and Fennore sleep in the field and go hunting in the morning.

    Tristin Loch, another Caledonia refugee, and Fennore meet in Amherst.

    After following Tamlin back to New Caledonia's camp, Fennore formally meets the High King, Iomair, and affirms she wishes to be a part of the rebuilding of his kingdom.

MAY '19
Now a member of the Caledonian loner band, Fennore continues to bolster relations with her peers and explore the landscape. She grows closer with Tamlin and finds a fast friend in Lyssa Fontaine, who is a part of a different loner band predominantly composed of coyotes. The month ends with her obtaining a new dress, which is a welcomed addition to her wardrobe.

    An uncomfortable encounter with Ossidael Lykoi leaves Fennore rattled.

    Tamlin attempts to guide Fennore in archery again, and Fennore's true colors start to show.

    Iomair calls a meeting for the New Caledonians.

    Macha leads her to a speckled, slightly chubby wolfdog who is eager to trade Fennore a dress that matches her the hue of her eyes. Pleased, Fennore gives her an ample amount of dried meats to cover for the garb. A pretty good trade, all in all.

JUNE '19
Her relationship with Tamlin comes to a grinding halt after she totally blows it with him (aka friendzones the hell out of him). Some questionable decisions follow, and the scout mysteriously disappears soon after for reasons unknown. Of note, this is also the month she first meets Bellad Songthorn who, unbeknownst at the time, will become a key person in her life.

    An unpleasant run-in with a drunkard is interrupted by a young scout, Valerian Hollybriar, who helps tend to Fennore's defensive wounds.

    Huge Tamlin and Fennore super thread! PERIDOT SKULL HERE WE COME we didn't get it. Shenanigans include Tamlin getting mad about Fennore's injured hands, horseback-riding lessons, unpleasant memories, and a whole lot of booze.

    With the realization that she has killed something precious between herself and Tamlin before it even ever really took root, Fennore is eager to push past her feelings as she meets a traveling minstrel, Mateo Salcedo.

    Lyssa, now apart of the newly-formed Del Cenere Gang, runs into Fennore.

    New Caledonia's resident shepherd is having a weird problem at the camp. Poor Arran.

    Tamlin and Fennore go scouting, and the find something (someone, rather) very interesting in the abandoned pack lands to the north of their camp.

    Fennore and Macha meet Willow Cormier!

JULY '19
Things are really beginning to pick up with New Caledonia; new faces, new territory, new new new. Fennore finds it easy to keep up, and she assists in whatever ways she can as the loner band grows stronger together and begins to set the roots for packship down the road.

AUGUST '19
New Caledonia officially becomes a pack! There's new responsibilities now that everything is set in stone, and there's no shortage of errands to run. Fennore takes it upon herself to visit the neighboring Del Cenere Gang in order to foster relations early-on, but the trip goes a little less ideally than planned.

Quiet month. Not a whole lot happens aside from the chores and errands that packship requires. Of note, Fennore frequents Amherst and Biff's Bar and meets some Cavaliers, even though she's blissfully unaware that they're Cavaliers.

OCTOBER '19
The Mists sweep over the Realm, and all sorts of spooky shenanigans take place — she rescues Amon from succumbing to his injuries at the border, and the month ends with her traveling to Casa di Cavalieri for the Diplomacy Summit.

After almost a month of absence, Queen Vodeva returns, though she has no memory of what happened in her time away. Nevertheless, the mysterious the Mists brought seem to have receded, and the Realm makes preparations for the winter months ahead.

DECEMBER '19
Another quiet month, a wintery lull in activity (I seriously didn't have any new threads in December except for this hella backdated SoSu one). It is the calm before the storm that is January, aka SoSu time, so I guess this break is acceptable?? I guess Fennore and Macha cuddled a lot because it was cold idk.

JANUARY '20
So. Many. Threads. New Caledonia hosts their first Call to Court in which they host the worrisome Salsola, much to Fennore's discomfort. Literally so much happens because of SoSu, you just gotta look through the thread list to find out.

    Fennore catches up with Calan at the ball, and he has a surprise gift for her, which sends mixed signals.

    Suspecting that the Lord-Regent is behind their strange pseudo-alliance with Salsola, Fennore decides to catch up with him.

    One drink leads to another, then another, and somehow, Fennore finds herself in close quarters with the definitely married High King.

    Stumbling home drunk, Fennore falls into bed with Amon and confesses what transpired at the Court between her and Iomair.

    Following the blizzard, Fennore goes exploring and runs into Borya Hushhowl and Tlamatini.

FEBRUARY '20
Fennore still has to come to terms with her indiscretion with the King, along with helping the Realm to make it through the winter. The supplies donated by Salsola are helping them coast by, but she can't help but shake the feeling that a debt is owed...

    Fennore visits Bellad's new home, and she is introduced to his ailing brother, Ierian.

MARCH '20
Fennore grows closer to the healer Bellad, and they find that they have a lot more in common than either realized when they first met. Casa di Cavalieri hosts a spring tournament that the Realm is invited to, and many make the journey over to prove their worth to all the packs around. Unfortunately for Fennore, she's not nearly the archer she thinks she is.

    Both restless and unable to sleep, Fennore and Bellad do a bit of stargazing and soul-searching.

    Still plagued by insomnia, probably from a guilty conscience on account of her dalliance with Iomair, Fennore attempts to self-medicate with tea when Bellad decides to make a surprise visit. Her brand is clear as day, and she grows self-conscious over him having seen it.

    The welcoming event for Casa di Cavalieri's spring tournament.

    The archery event does not go as planned, and Fennore ends up embarrassing herself.

    Fennore flees after the disasterous archery event, and Bellad comes to comfort her.

    Athras decides to pull a funny and sneaks into Fennore's house and scares the shit out of her. Only one of them is laughing.

    Gentle giant Ierian finally emerges in spite of the injuries he sustained from his tribe's demise.

APRIL '20
It's a strange spring. Her eventual ward, Wither Rose Soul, becomes her new roommate, and their interactions leave much to be desired. Aside from that, there are some weird flowers, and her heat hits — which makes an interaction with Bellad HELLA awkward and confusing. Also, a new guild forms!

    A new thorn in Fennore's side is gift-wrapped and waiting in her house. Reluctantly, she takes Wither to see the King, where she is formally accepted into the pack.

    Fennore's heat hits and Bellad just had to come over and there just had to be these weird alien flowers making it worse.

    Fennore decides that some bonding time is in order between her and Wither Rose, so she offers to braid her hair.

    Calan's gift necklace snaps, so Fennore goes to Kalypso Savoy for some assistance.
  5. stay up late in our dreams
    The New Caledonia Trading Company gets off the ground.
  6. [M] like a wounded animal
    A decisively drunk Calan tries to get Fennore to do the dirty with him, and she firmly turns him away. He eventually leaves with some hurtful words.

MAY '20
The air grows warmer, and things are relatively quiet for a time. Nothing major happens, tbh. Fennore got to stick some guys with needles and act as a swim coach for Bellad, so that was pretty significant.

JUNE '20
Oh, the dog days of summer! Fennore moves house and is still hard at work with her literary endeavors, even managing to pull in some new students and curious onlookers.

    Finally, Fen has had enough and ditches Amon and Wither for her own room in the King's Bastion. She also squeezes in a reading lesson, much to Wither's dismay.

    Old Caledonian, Valan, and Fen talk literacy and the preservation of history.

    Bellad becomes Fennore's newest student, and the begin the arduous task of learning their ABC's. Also Bel is wearing pants for the first time and she couldn't be prouder of him.

JULY '20
Lord-Regent Athras disappears, leaving the sub-leader position void. Fennore quickly makes her move and meets with the King, and together, they reorganize the Realm's hierarchy. She is promoted to Councilor of Lanya thusly, and finally, she and Bellad come to terms with their budding romance.

New Caledonia's first birthday! Fennore is set in charge of the Founders Day festivities, including the Feast and the Unicorn Hunt.

It's spooky season! Though not as gnarly as last year, the Realm does get a Halloween treat in the form of freakishly annoying moth storms. Also, Fen and Bel share some awkward™ times once again, though at least they get to sorta consummate their relationship this time. Aaanyway, moving on, there's a visit from Casa di Cavalieri, too!

NOVEMBER '20
As winter approaches, the Realm quietly begins to accrue and save their resources for the incoming snow and cold. Fennore and Wither Rose have a bit of a falling-out, which sours Fennore's mood, even after riding high off of the pride that her meeting with the Lune and her steamy encounter with Bellad afforded her.

    Fennore meets King Iomair's long-lost daughter, Indis, and accepts her into the pack.

DECEMBER '20
Whilst meeting new faces and going about her daily routine, Fennore finally makes her move, discussing with Iomair the possibility of her filling the hole that the Lord-Regent left behind. He agrees, and together, they fashion a new title for her: Isiltári, or 'Queen of the Moon.' Now the pack's subleader (which is to be kept quiet until the new year), Fen dutifully prepares for the Call to Court coming in a few weeks.

    Pippa is showing newcomer Indis a thing or two around the Dye Studio, and Fennore drops by for a visit. She's still unsure how to feel about the blue-eyed princess's sudden arrival to the Realm.

    Yuki Tanaka takes Lady Fennore up on her offer to teach him how to read and write, but it appears that Yuki's proclivity for falling asleep in strange places catches up with him in the middle of the lesson.

    Fennore seeks out the forge of the Cirth sisters, Maethriel and Mirwen.

    After weeks of internal debate, the Moonwraith approaches the High King to discuss a pontential promotion and place in the Valar.

    Emboldened by her meeting with Iomair, Fennore assists Kalypso with some odds and ends at the Trading Company's storage, and they talk future diplomatic and trading ventures.


2021

JANUARY '21
Fennore's first official Call to Court as a sub-leader! :') But things are nnnnot really going as smoothly as she planned. While the Realm at large seems pleased with her new position, there are a few that are less so. Rand Coara, Old Caledonian elitist, gives her trouble, Bellad is being distant, and on top of literally everything else, for some godforsaken reason, her sister of all people finds her way to the pack. It's one hell of a SoSu season, lemme tell ya.

    Iomair and Fennore welcome their guests to the second annual Court. Fen's new position is formally announced, and she initiates the traditional Duel between Sun and Moon.
  2. remember when
    Fen is in a good mood and decides to give old friend Calan another chance. They haven't really uhhhh come to terms with Cal's faux pas some months ago.
  3. show me the way as the story unfolds
    Seeking out Bellad on the dance floor, Fennore notices that something is... off about him, and it leaves her with an odd feeling.
  4. [M] construction of the highest quality, blood of my own hand
    Lorn priest Rand makes it abundantly clear that he is displeased with Fennore's new status. He makes the insinuation that he knows about her indiscretion with the King from the last Court — and that everyone is under the assumption that she slept her way to the top. It rattles her, to say the least.
  5. butterfly wings and strings
    Against all odds, Eesold O'Hartigan shows up at the Realm's borders, and a rush of unpleasant memories plagues her at the sight of her long-lost sister. It is not the happy reunion that Ees was hoping for.
  6. the magic runes are writ in gold
    Fennore regains a bit of civility and shows Eesold around the Realm, but things are still pretty tense between them. For now. Fen is not keen to let Ees back into her life without an apology for everything she went through in their old clan.
  7. mythical perfect moment
    Bellad's weird behavior has Fennore fearing the worst, and she confronts him; however, there is something else eating at his mind, and Bellad confides in her the true meaning behind his and his brother's burn scars.
  8. whichever way the wind blows
    Fen and Amon happen upon a loner, Firiel Dee (and her sheep), near the Serpentine Mountains.
  9. i've eaten the sun so my tongue is burned of the taste
    With Bellad's confession, Rand's scathing words, and Eesold's unexpected appearance weighing heavily on her mind, Fennore returns the favor to Bel and reveals her own past and how she came to be in New Caledonia.
  10. olive branch
    Intrigued by a loner band to the south, Fen rides out to see what Bête Noire is all about, making their acquaintance and striking some future deals along the way.

FEBRUARY '21
February has a sleepy start, but shit quickly hits the fan after what is supposed to be a jovial and celebratory event — the Realm's first wedding — becomes memorable for all the wrong reasons. Fennore has to make the difficult decision to place her once-ward, Wither Rose, in the Underthing for her crimes against resident bigot Rand.

Fennore's past indiscretions with Iomair come to light to the only person that doesn't need to know.

The Valar receive word of the Olympic Games to be held in Casa di Cavalieri the following month. Fennore comes to terms with her pregnancy and wants to make things official between herself and Bellad because the antiquated and lingering biases of her home pack make her think that this is some big huge monumental deal that they aren't officially "married" (until Fennore forces them to get married secretly so that it's all okay). Some delegates from Del Cenere Gang make their way over for trade, which Fennore helps to facilitate. Also the puppies are born later in the month, a boy and a girl! 8D

It proves a productive time; she and other Caledonians succeed in trading for a horse and other necessities in their time away.

The Valar still struggles to make sense of it all. Young Caledonians are being lured away from the territory, including Fennore's own son, Rohan. They consider holding a pack meeting and even closing the borders until a culpit for October's fire is found.

Pack meetings are held, new information is discovered, and the borders of the Realm are closed until further notice as the Caledonians come to terms with the fact that whatever is plaguing them is coming from the inside. Quietly, they prepare for the worst as best as they can.

    Members of the High Court remain after the meeting to discuss the happenings further. While much is said — and the Valar summarily criticized for their previous inaction — there is still no clear way forward.

    The New Caledonia Trading Company meets in Haven to take stock of the Realm's supplies.

    Fennore and Rohan talk with a newer member, Soliloquy Asylum, about the troubles the Realm currently faces. Soliloquy notes similarities to the fall of Krokar.
  8. stepping into something new
    Atica shifts for the first time — and Rohan, who has yet to do so himself, is not impressed. Fen and Bel are over the moon, though!
  9. road to eternity
    Fennore, Iomair, and Kalypso discuss plans to send the Councilor to Salsola and alert them that the annual Call to Court has been cancelled amidst the uncertainty.

    The Valar, seeing the weakness in their leadership, seek to elect two new Councilors to guide the Realm: Toraberā and her own husband, Bellad.


2022

JANUARY '22
At last, the enemies of the Realm reveal themselves, and a tear in the tapestry threatens to rip the pack apart. Rohan is kidnapped in the siege, and Fennore and Bellad can only assume the worst when he doesn't return. Caledonians are stranded in the Bastion with no hope in sight — but the arrival of Salsolan fighters marks the end of the war.

    When it seems all hope is lost, Salsolan fighters arrive on the horizon and turn the tide of battle. Fennore squares off against Éna Lanthir, whom Ark revealed stole Rohan away in the siege. They fight, and ultimately Fennore drives an arrow into Éna's neck, killing her.

    In the aftermath of the fight, Rohan, who was left behind in the Tears' camp, finds his way back home. The reunion, however, is irreparably marred when Fennore discovers that he has been branded — just as she was, years earlier.

    Ark Coara, presumably the last living of the Tears, is brought to justice.

FEBRUARY '22
Slowly, the Realm seeks to heal from the damage done, but the road to recovery is long.
