1. Synopsis
Humanization was a far-flung thought from the insular community Fallow and her siblings were born into. Comprised of non-luperci, and nigh entirely nomadic, they lived a life seemingly untouched by the virus at large, virtually living as wild canids always had, unbothered by the material and trailing on the routes of migrating prey. Elders warned often of dangers that lay just beyond their coven of safety: bizarre lifestyles on two legs, and the madness that birthed thoughts to which they were not meant to understand, and thus, the private little band survived by means of secrecy and motion.
Their careful teachings, however, had not touched on how to spot a Luperci hiding amidst their own. On the run from his own conflicts and problems, a Luperci found his way into the fold, and Fallow had foolishly vouched for the stranger, only for those dangers to creep in on his heels. When this information came to light, the duo were expelled, notions of infection fueling their decision and the allegation of Fallow’s insidious sympathies for the madness-riddled canines that sought to destroy their very way of existence.
Hurt and betrayed, Fallow fell out with her brief companion in the wake of exile, and struck out on her own, struggling to maneuver a world seemingly unwilling to accommodate her.
2. Appearance

Despite her full-blooded wolf status, Fallow sits on the smaller scale of her species, perhaps, by and large, to Red Wolf influence in her bloodlines. Fallow’s body is somewhat boxy and leanly muscled – with dense shoulders and thighs befitting that of a runner and paired with comparatively long, powerful legs and a deep chest. Whilst not built to withstand blows or shoulder the brunt of any sort of conflict, she is certainly fit for sprinting. She carries herself in a ‘slinking’ manner that belies a lack of confidence. Expressions are mild and frequently tense; her lips often pulled tight and gaze avoidant, ears perpetually in motion atop her head when not tipped side-long, and she wets her muzzle and licks her nose often, giving her a somewhat flighty and almost somewhat twitchy outward appearance in regards to others, and regularly expresses deference. Fallow's rusty, tawny coat varies throughout the year: winter yields a thick, plush appearance, only to blow out to a wiry, sleek look come warmer months. Almond-shaped eyes are a pallid, shocking green. |

3. Personality

The world is frightening, ineffable, and difficult to navigate. Having grown up within a stifling, insular community of non-luperci, Fallow’s preconceived notions on the nature of Luperci and the world at large color her understanding of life, and, unbeknownst to her, she limits her faculties to willingly embrace ignorance. Not one to test the boundaries of her comfort zone, everything is neatly compartmentalized within existent and non-existent; and anything beyond her scope is met with fear and outright skepticism. She has little will and resolve to fix what she believes cannot be changed and has grown to live a life of dread in the face of ever-changing climates – making her stalwart, rigid, and uncompromising often to her own detriment. As such, she finds it difficult to relate to others around her unless they adhere more stringently towards feral lifestyles. Her tolerance for humanization is low. This isn’t to say that she is uncaring, however. Fallow’s emotions, whilst minorly stifled, are plainly expressed once she hits a threshold of comfort; despite her diminutive size, her unflappable loyalty and protective nature will often overrule her ability to reason and override her otherwise skittish sensibilities. Fallow is excitable and high strung, and prone to exclamation when surprised or wound up. |
