Eire Lykoi was born of a non-consensual encounter between Axelle Napier and Basilio Lykoi. She is the only surviving pup out of three other siblings and a pawn in her mother's eventual plan to get back at her biological father. She only joined Inferni with the intent to kill her father, but learned that he was sick upon her joining. As the month went by, Basilio's health declined and with the events of her mother's rape coming to light, he was exiled from Inferni and eventually died in the forest from his illness.

Weirdly enough, Eire found her half-sister, Helena Troy Lykoi at his deathbed, and the two of the agreed on taking bits of him to keep as keepsakes. Helena skinned him, and Eire took his skull. She eventually borrowed the skin from Helena to offer to Axelle, only planning to steal it back at a later date.

Upon returning to Axelle months after she was supposed to, hesitating out of fear and dishonesty, Eire came clean to Axelle about how Basilio died. As Eire feared, Axelle took it extremely badly and shunned her daughter, disowning her and calling her useless and stating that she never wanted to see her again. Afterwards, Eire took drastic measures in stealing the skin back for Helena, and that same night, she waited until Axelle was asleep before sneaking into her shack and stealing the skin and her horse, Couer.

1.1  Basics

Essentials

  • Species: Eire is a mix between a Coyote and a Wolf, and there is a lot of Coyote in her facial features, while there's a lot of Wolf in her build.
  • Fur: Eire has thick fur, complete with an undercoat for those colder months.
    • Optime Hair: Eire's Optime hair is short, and poorly styled. Usually brushed and tucked behind one of her ears. It is kept short to stay out of her face during combat, a thought drilled into her head by Axelle.
  • Facial Features: Narrow muzzle, angular face, angled cheekbones, skeptical, blood red eyes - due to her Lykoi heritage - always reading the world, always pondering her next move. Eire looks upon the world as a warrior looks upon their opponent.
  • Build and Size: Having a small-ish mother and a very small father, what Eire lacks in height, she makes up for in strength. Under her thick coat are lean muscles that contribute to her overall strong appearance.
  • Humanization: Medium — Eire makes use of clothing and weapons, but does not have skills like literacy or domestic skills such as cooking or preparing meals for aestheticity.

Cold, inherently, like her mother. Not much phases Eire, a raised cold-blooded killer. Except that's not the way she turned out after all. She has consideration for others and cares about those who are considered her allies. She's generally friendly and is not shy about sparking up a conversation with strangers. She seems to connect well with lesser creatures like birds and horses.

Although she has a decent demeanor, she was raised on the principles of combat and can whip out that can of whoop ass when needed, though she doesn't fight for nothing. She's not quick to fight. She'd much rather talk it out before jumping to conclusions, but if met with no other choice, she'd do what she needs to do defend her honor and that of her allies.

Positive Relations

  • Vesper and Eire share an interest in the ravens, and Eire looks up to her for that. She believed Vesper was a strong leader from what she had seen, though everyone must feel the burn of the consequences for their mistakes eventually.
  • Helena Lykoi is Eire's half-sister and the only one who truly showed her kindness that called herself "family". Even though Helena left Inferni and joined Salsola, the two of them maintain a friendship.
  • Vicira Tears: Eire and Vicira's relationship is positive, but aside from being the one to out her father and eventually, if not indirectly, cause his death, the two of them had not bonded all that much.

Neutral / Negative

  • Axelle Napier: Her relationship with Axelle is extremely strained if not already broken. Once doing what Axelle asked of her, or not quite, the split-furred woman wanted nothing else to do with Eire and cast her out of her life. Much to Eire's relief, she was kinda going to request the same anyway.
  • Basilio Lykoi: Eire didn't get a whole lot of time to figure out if Axelle's accusations were at all true about her father. For one thing, he was cast out of Inferni for some 'crimes', but Eire was secretly hoping to get a feel for her father before he'd die. He died too quickly, though.

    Eire is dumped in the Northern Tides with her siblings. She notices one by one, her siblings disappear. She quickly scrambles in the nook of a tree, and throughout the night, listens to their cries as they are picked off by predators. In the morning, Petra Damaichu finds her and takes her under her wing for the next few months.

    Eire and Axelle come upon these huge, weird, flattened circles in the grassy plains of Sticks and Stones. Soon, they see another wolf checking them out and ask him about them.

    Tzila finds out she has a half-sister, and learns the truth about why Axelle never told her. Eire is skeptical about the whole situation.

    While climbing on the rocks along the beach, Eire sees Helena Lykoi lounging on the shore. Axelle warns her not to get too close.

    Eire encounters her sister, Tzila, while hunting. Tzila begins to ask her all sorts of questions about her and Axelle's relationship.

    Eire meets Elisabeth de le Poer by the Halcyon Mountain. She's captivated by how similar she looks - as if her twin. Elisabeth uses the moment to brag about Inferni.

    Attempting to catch a meal, Eire sets a trap and falls asleep. What wakes her up is not a deer, but someone's horse caught in the snare.

    After debating how she's going to kill Basilio Lykoi, Eire decides to infiltrate Inferni and surprise the man with a house call. She joins the pack with ill intentions.

    Vicira approaches Eire to ask about Basilio's crimes against her mother. Figuring she doesn't have much of a choice, Eire divulges all the information she knows about it.

    Basilio Lykoi leaves after a whole mess of drama goes down. Sent to initially kill him, Eire goes looking for him - maybe just to talk to him or maybe to finish him off. She doesn't know. When she finally finds him, she realizes she's too late. Helena Lykoi, who has been hiding nearby, comes to comfort Eire and they share the moment together.

    With the intention of picking some blueberries for the cooks, Eire sets out to the bushes, but the first she comes upon is 'claimed' by Oriole de l'Or who has eaten them all. Seeing how disappointed Eire is, he agrees to show her where he's seen the other bushes.

    Eire wanders in to listen after hearing voices in the common room. She finds Vicira Tears, Virue, and Rialu Avarice all sitting at the banquet table giving their two cents.

    Eire finds a woman and her horse on the beach. Fearless, she walks right up to the horse and begins to pet it, making conversation with the woman about her camp's location.

    Eire gets a bad injury on her leg after trying to hunt an elk. She manages to walk to Amherst, but cannot go on much farther. She's found by Guillen Abascal who insists on stitching her up and caring for her in Amherst for a few days.

    Eire receives a note from Axelle Napier, but she can't read it. A clumsy pack mate, Virue comes tumbling through the woods and Eire asks him to help her read it.
