Dreyma Dawnbringer is a member of Cour des Miracles. She is the only daughter of Grace Revlis and Brumaire Moineau, the result of a one night stand. Unknown to her father and unwanted by her mother she was taken to Vinátta and left with Grace’s old mate Niernan Stormbringer. She was passed her along to Shiloh Dawnbringer, who adopted her and raised her as her own. As a puppy, she notably befriended Jérôme Moineau, a feral wolf and friend of her mother, and Aysun, a deaf kitten.

In young adulthood, Dreyma aimed for the Vald rank in Vinátta and was mentored by Jérôme in hunting and other skills, despite suffering and slowing down from a winter illness. However, her content home life changed as first her “littermate” siblings, then Jérôme and even Shiloh, left Vinátta. Without her family ties to the pack, Dreyma departed the Vikings and went on a journey in hopes of finding Jérôme and deciding on where she belonged.

She met up with Jérôme and his new mate, and helped raise their single daughter, Alouette Moineau, who Dreyma took under her wing. When Alou expressed interest in seeing the world, Dreyma offered to travel with her; she returned to Nova Scotia and reunited with her family in Cour des Miracles. She befriended Skoll Haskel and reignited her bond with her mother Shiloh, as well as her siblings old and new. However, the Winter of Tarnished Gold stole her happiness from her, resulting in the death of Shiloh. Dreyma quietly committed to changing her surname after Shiloh's death to reflect all the woman had done for her.

Spring brought about more change when Dreyma became pregnant with Skoll's pups, resultant of a casual fling meant to distract them from their sorrows. With the pregnancy forming a rift between Skoll and his daughter, Dreyma made the decision to step aside and let Skoll raise the pups as his own. However, disconnecting herself with the puppies she carried and nursed for months was no easy task, and so Dreyma shouldered yet another difficult decision. After a verbal altercation with Galilee Haskel, Dreyma departed the Court.

1.1  Basics


  • Species: Since she is predominantly wolf with very little coyote and dog in her genes she looks very much like a pure-blooded wolf at first glance, displaying very few hybrid traits.
  • Fur: She has the thick double coat of a wolf that is quite coarse and of even length along most of her body. Around her neck, chest, and tail where her fur is longer it is softer and feathery with a hint of curls.
    • Optime Hair: Her scruff lengthens out into a mess of short loose curls, a few of which fall into her face. She doesn't do anything about it and prefers to let it grow and curl as it may.
  • Facial Features: She has a very wolfish face with a long muzzle and only slightly oversize coyote-like ears.
  • Build and Size: She is lean and strong with long legs giving her a lanky sort of build that works best with speed rather than strength. Her long legs give her height over the average female, but she is by no means a giant.
    • Lupus: She looks like an average pure-blooded wolf with long legs and a sleek slender body. Her scruff, chest, and tail have faint hints of curls.
    • Secui: She is more "spidery" than monstrous in this form with even longer legs than lupus. Her scruff thickens and grows curly and tangled around her neck.
    • Optime: She is tall and lean with a runner's body and only small feminine curves. Her scruff grows out into thick and bouncy loose curls.
  • Humanization: Minimal. She always wears both of her necklaces and may sometimes have a flower or feathers tucked behind her ear. Aside from wearing a cape or cloak in the winter she doesn't wear clothes.

  • A wooden Frithr pendant given to her by Miskunn Stormbringer symbolizing her membership in Vinátta.

  • She may sometimes wear a pair of eagle feathers tucked behind her left ear. The smaller upper feather is white and the larger lower feather is brown. They are bound together with a small leather strip secured by two tourmaline beads, one black and a slightly smaller green.
  • She may sometimes wear a flower tucked behind her left ear, which is almost always white. Typical species include English daisy, white trillium, white daffodil, and her favorite, white lily.


  • A brown leather poncho style hooded cloak lined with winter white rabbit fur given to her by her adopted mother Shiloh Dawnbringer. She only wears it in the winter or when it is particularly cold outside. It is in excellent condition and well maintained as it is a highly cherished item. When in use it is kept as clean as possible and promptly cleaned when soiled.
  • Matching brown leather cape lined with winter white rabbit fur also given to her by her adopted mother Shiloh Dawnbringer. It was specially designed to be worn in lupus form and is only worn in the winter or when it is particularly cold outside. Much like her cloak it is in exceptional condition and well taken care of as it is very dear to her.


  • An eight inch (20cm) dagger given to her by Jérôme Moineau. It was carefully whittled out of a single adult moose antler and is incredibly sharp and well taken care of. It has a brown leather sheath made from moose hide where it is stored in Dreyma's home. It is used exclusively for skinning and working leather but can be used as a weapon.
  • A six foot (183cm) fishing spear she made herself from a single piece of strong red oak. One end has been split and sharpened into four points for spearing fish, the other end is blunt. It is used primarily for fishing but is also used as both a stabbing and staff type weapon.

Having known nothing else, Dreyma believes in Vinátta's Norse gods and has an affinity toward the goddess Syn and the Valkyries. Like her mother she follows the religion for cultural reasons and does not wholly believe in all the stories, prophecies, and so on. Still, she always enjoys listening to the legends.

Key Relations

  • Shiloh Dawnbringer is her adopted mother and deeply beloved. Although she has figured out Shiloh isn't her birth mother, Dreyma knows Shiloh has been in her life for as long as she can remember and respects her word. She wants to maintain her independence as an adult while also cherishing Shiloh's company.
  • Jérôme Moineau was her babysitter as a pup and became an uncle-like figure as she grew up. Of all the pups, Jérôme was closest to Dreyma, who has picked up on some of his feral habits and feels like she can talk to him about things she can't talk about with Shiloh. More than once she has wondered if Jérôme is her real father. His departure has left a void in Dreyma's life.

Positive Relations

  • Alessan Stormbringer and Abigail Sadira are Shiloh's biological children and Dreyma's adopted siblings that she grew up with. Although she is very close to them, they are much closer to each other.
  • Palaydrian Soul is the Áðr Vald and someone she greatly admires and tries to emulate (though not as much as Shiloh). Trying to become a Vald herself, Dreyma seeks to learn everything that Drin knows about hunting and scouting.

  • Saul and Ascher Stormbringer are her adopted uncles, and while she doesn't know them very well she respects them as her elder kin. Dreyma, like many, was deeply saddened when Saul left Vinátta.
  • Lochlan and Teagan Stormbringer are her half-siblings through Grace, but she doesn't know it and considers them her cousins. She doesn't know them very well either but is working to amend that.
  • Silvano Sadira is Shiloh's lover and often drifted in and out of Dreyma's life whenever he would visit Shiloh, Abigail, and Alessan. He was kind to her when she was a pup. While she doesn't hate him, she doesn't like him very much because of his complicated relationship with Shiloh.

4.  Abilities

Education and Learning: Everything she has learned in life she has absorbed from her adopted mother Shiloh Dawnbringer and uncle-figure Jérôme Moineau, with a few minor things that have developed naturally. She also picks up on things by observing what goes on in Vinátta and what she occasionally reads in books. At the moment she is focusing on honing what she already knows and still has a lot to learn.

  • Running (Master): The moment she could move she was on the go and it wasn't long before running became one of her favorite things. She is an exceptional runner with great speed, agility, and maneuverability, which she uses to her advantage with small quick animals like squirrels and rabbits.
  • Swimming (Master): Once she discovered the joys of swimming she took to it like a fish to water and quickly developed a love of swimming as well. She is an excellent swimmer due in no small part to her unique coat that sheds water with ease. She also enjoys hunting animals in and near the water, including fish, muskrats, and waterfowl.
  • Hunting (Journeyman): Her love of running easily developed into a love of wandering and exploring which then turned into a great fondness for tracking and hunting. She is a very good hunter and does so best in her four legged forms, using lupus almost exclusively. While she can take down large animals, her specialty is smaller prey.
  • Fishing (Apprentice): Due to her love of swimming and hunting near water Dreyma developed a taste for fish and an affinity for fishing. While she is pretty good at fishing in feral form, she still has a lot to learn about fishing in optime form. Her "cousin" Lochlan has been an occasional teacher.
  • Skinning (Apprentice): Jérôme Moineau was teaching her how to skin animals and tan leather, something she has taken quite an interest in but has not pursued as fervently as her other skills. She does seek to progress these skills and most likely will develop them further with a new teacher now that Jérôme is gone.
  • Due to an illness she had when she was young Dreyma developed stamina problems similar to asthma. It is difficult for her to breathe when she's been running for too long and she usually has to stop and calm down to catch her breath. It happens less often and recovery comes much quicker now that she is older, but it is a problem that she suspects may never go away.
  • Her thick double coat of fur is highly water resistant and tends not to soak in a lot of water whenever she goes swimming, the water instead rolling off her fur like the back of a duck. She is not waterproof, of course, and when her fur does soak in liquid, usually after several dips in the water, it becomes quite heavy and clings close to her skin.
  • With an above average sense of smell and hearing Dreyma is an excellent tracker, especially in thick forested areas where sightlines are limited more often than not. She is also very good at navigating through thick forested areas and is quick to memorize her surroundings whenever she finds herself somewhere new.
  • Dreyma can be a little headstrong and brazen and sometimes rushes into things without thinking them through ahead of time. She is also a little bit naïve and can at times be quick to trust but she is too stubborn and independent to be blindly lead astray.
  • She can read and write but is not particularly good at it since abandoning her studies in favor of a much more feral and animalistic lifestyle. What little she does know is enough to get her by and she does not struggle to read or write things. What she does write is usually riddled with spelling and grammar issues though.

5.  History

Dreyma was born to Grace Revlis as the result of a one night stand with Brumaire Moineau, who does not know of her existence. Living the life of a loner and not wanting to be burdened with a pup, Grace traveled to her old pack Vinátta and handed her off to her old mate Niernan Stormbringer, who took her in as long as Grace promised to never come back again. Niernan passed the young pup to Shiloh Dawnbringer, who had just had a litter of her own, and she accepted baby Dreyma, giving her a name since Grace did not give her one. She was raised as part of Shiloh's family alongside her biological children and life was good until the pack took in Jérôme Moineau, who at the time was going by the name of Glasgow. One day the Ironside Coalition came looking for Glasgow and when the kind individuals of Vinátta would not surrender him, they came back sometime later and ambushed Shiloh, kidnapping Dreyma and her adopted siblings and holding them for ransom. Through the valiant efforts of a rescue party led by Saul Stormbringer the puppies were returned safely and the Ironside Coalition was wiped out. Dreyma remembers very little of the traumatic event and life eventually went back to normal once she and her siblings were back home safe and sound. When she and her siblings came of age they attended their Ausa Vatni ritual and received their Frithr necklaces that symbolized their passage into adulthood and membership in the pack. Later that winter Shiloh falls ill and Dreyma catches her sickness. Although Shiloh nurses her back to health, it is not without a lasting detriment to her stamina. Near the end of the year she shifts for the first time and becomes more independent.
