Danaë was raised in the Great Tribe alongside her brother and although curious about AniWaya, decided to stay behind to help her mother while her brother left in May 2015 to journey to meet their father.
Danaë is quiet, calm, polite, and above all else, helpful. Unfortunately, she can also be a bit domineering and often thinks she is right at the expense of others' opinions and contributions. Danaë takes poorly to criticism, constructive or not, and often perceives it to be a personal attack against her. Despite this, she has a good heart and genuinely does want to help others, so it can be easy to overlook her less-than charming qualities. In fact, sometimes it is very easy to overlook her since she is so quiet and oftentimes quite shy. Although she was never overshadowed by her boisterous and outgoing brother, it was often easier for her to stay quiet and remain in the shadows.
Unfortunately, one of the defining traits of Dan's life is that she often took the easy way out. It was easier to stay quiet, to silently observe and examine, and to make inquiries on her own time rather than pursuing them when the opportunity arose. She is the farthest thing from impulsive, so although she has a strong inquisitive nature, it can be difficult to perceive due to her tendency to mull things over and research things slowly.
To find her purpose in life and realize her potential
Leaving the Great Tribe: Danaë is afraid of what might be out there beyond the comfort of her home. She is astonished that Laurentin was brave enough to make the almost two-month journey to AniWaya to meet his father.
Packs: Danaë loves living in The Great Tribe and does not understand why her brother would leave. She has heard stories of the packs that discriminated against them, causing some of the tribes members to leave and found the AniWayan tribe, but has not yet seen any hostility from her neighbouring tribes.
Species: Danaë does not have any biases against any other species
Non-Luperci: With live in the tribe requiring a two-legged form for some of the complex work, such as fire dancing and crafting, Danaë does not realize that someone might not have the ability to be a luperci; and further, if they had the ability but chose not to use it, Danaë would not understand their motivations at all
Sexuality: Danaë has not been exposed to many different sexual orientations or forms of expression; she knows they exist in theory, but knows nothing beyond their names
Age: She believes in honouring and heeding the elders and protecting the young; puppies are considered belonging to the Great Tribe
Danaë has not been exposed to very much about concepts of sexual orientation. In theory, she understands that there are many sexuality identities and orientations, but does not know how it would apply to herself. As a result, she assumes she is heterosexual, and whether she is or not remains to be seen.

What substances has your character tried? Are they highly experimental or not at all inclined to try? Do they have an opinion on those who do indulge in "illicit" substances?
Describe your character's spirituality. What do they believe? Do they believe in (a) higher power(s)? Do they perform rituals? What do they believe after death? Do they have a creation myth? Maybe this section is long enough to require more space.
Laurentin Aston is Danaë's only sibling. She's still surprised he left and since she loves living in the Great Tribe, she doesn't know why he would leave. Secretly, she's jealous that he's brave enough to make the long journey to Nova Scotia to visit their father and learn about their mother's home tribe.
Saqui Utina is Dan's mother. Dan loves her a lot! They usually agree on most things, so Dan hasn't really had much strife in her life with her mom.
Bo Quayle is Danaë's best friend EVER. When Bo confessed that he had been a part of the loners who had attacked AniWaya, Danaë told him he was an idiot, but ultimately forgave him. Since he knew about Dan's father's home, she pestered him for information constantly. Eventually, they became best friends.
Achak Aatu is the leader of the Great Tribe. Sometimes, Dan thinks he went a little too easy on Laurentin when he got into trouble because he knew that their dad is the leader of AniWaya.
Nayati Utina is Saqui's father and also equally intimidating, nonetheless respected.

Tsu-la was Laurentin's best friend in the Great Tribe and was always getting him into trouble. Tsu-la annoyed Dan a lot as a kid.
