Chaya Matlo

Chaya is the daughter of Missy Matlo and Jeb Matlo, born on October 26th, 2012. Pack member of New Dawn

Chaya's heritage shows proud through her thick white coat. Being 100% arctic wolf her fur is white like the tundra she was born in; it's long thick fur is soft with a slightly coarse undercoat to keep the cold at bay. But she has the small body structure that comes with being one of the smaller sub-species. Though she herself is smaller than the majority females of the species she uses her nimble paws and lighter weight to her advantage. Chaya is about 48 inches long and 27 inches tall. This leaves her shorter than most. Though her bloodlines have given her the pure white coat of her family. the pristine white shines and looks soft to the touch. She blends easily in with the snow, though she has splotches of light gray on her left eye and right ear and sandy tan on her left hind leg. her brother had the same splotch but on his right leg. She has a scar small scar under her muzzle, running down her neck from the turf war. Her ears are always quirked, swiveling to listen. Her dark green eyes glint with curiosity and wariness. Though her tiny demeanor makes others underestimate her, her tiny bone structure and small paws make her a agile opponent and a lethal huntress. she uses the element of surprise and her agility to take down pray or to battle, rarely will she fight an opponent head on rather using a silver tongue and trickery to escape battles she knows she won't win. For the most part she carries herself in a somewhat timid way- tail at half mast as she moves and her head a little lower than most when around others. When alone she lifts her head a little higher, liking the absence of noise that can give her headaches. She has a natural grace to her even though she is wary most of the time, she is completely comfortable in her own skin.

When she was a younger she was happy, mischievous and always with a grin on her face. During this time she had been oblivious to the harshness of life due to the fact that she was born with a neurological disorder called Synaethesia, a cross over of the senses where she could feel voices, where emotions came into her sight as colors. the dullness of the Arcticc tundra helped her adjust to it. but as she grew older, as the trouble started it became more of a burden, more of a curse. She became quite, more socially inept in large crowds of those she did not know. She has taken it in stride in her months of solitude though, learning to block it out for the most part.but every now and again when the sensory overload becomes to much she can be found with a scowl on her face and her ears pinned back.

For the most part the is cautious in nature, though for the most part a good judge of character. If deemed a good character she will warm up easier to you. She has a huge soft spot for pups, and is a avid story teller to those who will listen. She is not all that confident in herself, preferring to sit back and watch things play out than interfere of jump in. She is a good tracker, prides herself in that fact. At times Chaya can get caught up in the excitement that is going on, showing the old side of herself. but its muted more that what it was, she is a soft hearted soul that wants family, a home, wants the love that she had lost. she has attachment issues, wanting a family again but fearing the loss it could cause she is slow to gain friendships with.

• She has a timid demeanor, though happy to help when someone is in need.
  • Has night terrors every now and again due to the land wars from her old pack. It helps when there is someone there to calm her down.
    • gets headaches from her Synaethesia and though she looks like she is in thought it is her actually trying to sort out the muddled senses.

Biases Packs: She is not bias against a pack. Species: she isn't really biased against species either. Non-Luperci:She is wary of most Luperci's mostly due to the role they played in her family's inevitable demise. Though she can, like any other person make a automatic connection with a few that over time she can call friends. Gender: She's a little timid around the other gender, unsure as how to act around them. Color: non-bias against color. Sexuality: She believes if you love someone it shouldn't matter the gender. Age:She highly respects her elders and loves children despite that some times they can be little hellions. Sexuality Even being born in a Traditional pack, Chaya doesn't really seemed to care about sexuality. Though this could be due to the fact that she has had no intimate/romantic relations before. She believes she would be heterosexual, though Chaya believes that it shouldn't matter what gender they are if one loves another that it shouldn't matter if one is a male and female just that they make eachother happy. Some might call her naive but she chooses to ignore it. She is a nervous kind of girl, soft voiced and timid when approaching her intended. But as she gets to know the other better the more of her personality comes out. She can get a little on the dorky side, easy smiles and laughter. She flirts subconsciously as she becomes comfortable with the other. She doesn't fall easily, it takes time to crack her shell. But when she does, she falls hard. Substances She has never done any substances and probably never will.

Spirituality She used to follow her parent's faith of worshipping the wolf God Geri but as the blood shed upon the snow and she lost her birth pack Chaya abandoned her faith. She believes that there is something higher but that that those gods or dieties don't care about them. Though She does believe that good deeds come back around in the long run.

She is close to her and kind of like her shadow. 4.  Interaction

• Speech: She is soft spoken and overly polite. Her voice has an almost musical lilt to it. Though she is soft spoken when spoken to she will automatically reply, sometimes she blathers when nervous or flustered. When around higher-ups or elders she will be very formal. When you finally get to know her and she opens up she becomes a little louder -though she will never raise her voice to yelling- and talks more and more. She becomes quite the chatter box.
• Scent: Chaya smells like fresh leaves, cool water and something that is a mixture close to vanilla and daisies.

4.1  Residence New Dawn Community Den its warm, she sleeps near Hartt, or by the entrance where she can feel the fresh air. she is happy where she can get comfortable.

Strengths Stealth and Tracking (Master): Trained under her father she is average at hunting, but has a uncanny ability to blend into her environment when needed. Her tracking was one of the bests while she was in her birth pack. Diplomacy (Master): Being the mediator of her siblings Chaya learned the tips and tricks at a young age on how to keep the peace. She has used this ability to smooth talk and or trick her way out of many hairy situations. Pup-Sitting (Dabbler): When she was younger she had to watch the pups as the adults went out to hunt. She was very good at keeping the little beasts occupied and happy while under her watch and loves to take time to play with pups when she ahs the chance. Fighter (Apprentice): Was trained by her parents to fight, during the Turf War she learned to fight the hard way. hates fighting now. Singer (Dabbler): taught by her mother and very in tune with harmonizing it was a great hobby her mother ans Chaya shared. Weaknesses She can get confused when there are to many sensations, overstimulation from her disorder can cause major headaches that can last for days. There isn't much she can do but find a quiet place to relax until the headache blows over.(:tableend:) Self-Doubt: Being on her own, being unable to protect her pack has done some damage to her psyche. She worries over others, that she isn't good enough. She worries over the fact that she isn't strong enough. Strength: She isn't very strong, though she makes up with Speed and Stamina. feels she won't be able to protect others so she tries to constantly improve her strength. Born the youngest of a litter of four, Chaya was born into a pack called Slasoma on the border of what used to be the Quttinirpaaq National Park. Born into the beginning of the dark months the litter was celebrated. They were the future to preserve the old and tradition. the snow was her and her siblings playground. She stuck close to her twin- Emil more so than her older brothers. They tended to get into trouble, playing pranks on one another. Emil and her tended to be the observers and or victims of the pranks. Chaya herself was quite, happy and always seen with a smile on her face. she was imaginative and loved to tell stories among her siblings.

As the light came back to their home, the light also brought a change that would affect their lives forever. Due to the scarcity of food the pack had a large track of land. But arrival of new packs brought not just four legged beings that they would see every now and again, but two legged ones. As the season grew warmer the new packs pressured Slasoma to give up land. Her brothers took up the task of guarding the pack with the adults. As Chaya grew she was the idealist, seeing the cup half full. But with the New pack's lust for land and nothing more it sent her family into a fight for their home and their lives. The turf war was slow and bloody. The pups were the first to go, along with a few mothers. The pack's borders slowly shrunk over time. The two legged wolves had the advantage. Sticking to the small area she was sworn to protect Chaya watched, heard as each member fell. when the dark came again what was left of her family fled the territory. Her brother Emil had fallen ill, soon after he passed on Chaya left her now nomadic pack. She ran faster than her family, sprinting until she collapsed she had fed her home, her family, her death as she wanted nothing more than to find a safe place to lay. but with the freedom she gained, she had also gained loneliness, a hollow in her heart as what was left of her family disappeared in obscurity, nothing but ghosts to haunt her.

• December:

Chaya enters Souls Territory and the Neutral Territory, meeting Hartt Attaya , unsure of the white fae Chaya believes that she can come to learn to trust the Luperci and perhaps become friends. Contemplating on joining the New Dawn pack with Hartt's persistance.

Joins New Dawn and is very excited for her new life.

Chaya Meets Vidar for the first time, it starts off as a rock relationship but she's sure that perhaps there could be a friendship there. She wants to learn more about him.
