1. Appearance
1.1 Essentials
BasicsA long lineage of mutts attribute to Ceridwen's unique appearance, including: Australian Shepherd, Great Dane, Husky, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and Saluki. She is a tasteful pallet of reds and rose, fresh cream, browns and tans. The predominant pattern of her coat is merle disrupted with piebald patterns creating symetrical forms over her body. The exception is a unique marking that covers a significant portion of the left side of her face—a longtime point of contention for the lass. Bisecting her visage, the warm brown fur is brindled and out of place. An anomaly, a defect, the chimeric blight interrupts what would have otherwise been a pristine mask of ivory. It affects the eye as well, painting it with a vivid sanguine hue, as opposed to the bright sky blue of her left eye. Aside from her unique markings, Ceridwen is otherwise wolfish in form. Her build is robust, built for endurance and survival; streamlined, but not necessarily slender. Most of her figure is hidden beneath a dense double coat, though it is distinctly shorter around her face, stomach, and limbs. This does not differ much from one form to the other. In Lupus form, she is average sized, and may be mistaken for a malamute of sorts. Her Secui form is very much the same, if only larger and more rugged. The biggest difference is the thick mane of snow white covering her nape. As she shifts into Optime, the mane becomes hair, and her figure slims somewhat, though not enough to jeopardize her feral nature. |

2. Personality
Ceridwen is a reserved creature; contemplative and resourceful, she is unyielding against pressure. Though she seems shy around others, she is often quick to make friends with pets, strays, and woodland creatures. She takes care of her garden and house plants as a hobby, and makes a living by running a modest apothecary. Rumor has it that she sells *magic spells and potions—and with the bone mask she wears, she only lends fuel to the flames. Of course when asked directly, she will always laugh and explain that such deft and nimble fingers must be put to good use! In her spare time she is almost always crafting something; candles, sun and moon catchers, and wooden fertility effigies are only some of the trinkets she enjoys making.
Usually driven by curiosity, Ceridwen is eager to see how the world works, but uncomfortable with being at the centre of attention. There is something repugnant about such status, and she likes to feel that she is misunderstood, rebellious, or perhaps all alone. Most of this is her own doing, for she tends to push others away for fear that if she does not do so first, they will eventually leave her. In this way, she can also be obtuse, and difficult to cooperate with. She has difficulty allowing herself to empathize with others, and often prefers ignorance over accepting the truth. These traits often undermine her clever nature, but help to enhance a more mischievous side.

6. History
Ceridwen is a gifted product of nature and nurture. She lived an idyllic life in a large forest meadow, surrounded by family comprised of her maternal grandmother, her parents, and siblings. The surrounding forest comprised a large portion of a nameless island in New Brunswick's Passamaquoddy Bay near the town of St. Andrews. This meant that they were relatively isolated, which suited the quiet family just fine. They lived off the land for most of Ceridwen's childhood, before moving back to the mainland before winter, continuing a nomadic lifestyle as they made their pilgrimage to a distant cavern community.
Ceridwen was thus provided the opportunity to learn how to live off the land. She became familiar with understanding weather patterns and reading the landscape. Indigenous permaculture as well as hunting were major components of what she was taught, as well as years of oral history, passed down from one mother to the next. This was all very interesting, but once Ceridwen had a taste of adventure, she found herself dreading settling down once more.
Just a few months after she turned a year old, the youth set out on her own, learning how to care for herself. She turned her curiosity to a form of pseudo-science, discovering that she was very curious about werewolf form, and what exactly made bodies work the way they did. She was also intrigued by chemistry and medicines, studying what she could under the tutelage of mentors; some more questionable than others, and generally no more than a medieval understanding of things.
