About

Alvira Phoenix is the daughter of Avinalora Phoenix and formerly the step-daughter of Maelyx Nocturne, fathered by Malik Crane. She has two full-blooded siblings, Winter Phoenix and the late Ghost Phoenix? and formerly the step-sibling of Jaketta Einar-Nocturne, Elias Einar-Nocturne, and the late Zea Einar-Nocturne. She has a half-sibling she has yet to learn of.

Her childhood was relatively peaceful though she did lose one of her siblings at a young age to mercenaries and later witnessed Anathema's fall before she was five months old. Her life in the coven was a peaceful period before her sister and step-mother were kidnapped and later on her step-mother returned blinded. She went through a peaceful month when she learned to shift before her step-mother took her sister and left with only a note. This led to the breakdown of her mother and the coven fell apart. She followed her brother to Halifax, bringing her mother with her as well. And then her mother took she and her brother aside and told them that she was leaving after she told them her story.

At the end of July, Alvira tries to confront Lux Einar after hearing of his crimes. She is saved by Iorek, but he is grievously injured. She helps him get home to Casa di Cavalieri and is then taken away by Josephine LaBelle. She stays in Casa di Cavalieri for a few days before being escorted back to Halifax.

After some time, Alvira, her brother, and her aunts, Adrian Raven-Shadowryn and Kitiara Birch head to Portland where they barter passage to Europe.

They travel for some time before coming across the Koronis family. Alvira meets Desponia Koronis? and they fall in love. They are later married and have a daughter, Adrestia Phoenix

Physical Appearance

Alvira primarily takes after her jackal blood with her slender build, long ears, long legs, and narrow muzzle. The only indicator of her mixed blood would be her fur color which patterning and color is certainly not jackal-like. Her tail is fox-like in appearance.
  • Fur: Her fur is soft, taking after her dog blood and longer than the average jackal's. However, it lacks the thickness to withstand the Nova Scotia cold and requires extra protection to stay warm.
    • Optime Hair: Her Optime hair is cut so that the tips brush against her shoulders, yet is long enough to be put into a ponytail.
  • Facial Features: Her face is obviously jackal with her narrow muzzle that doesn't tapper off like a coyote's would and with long ears.
  • Build and Size: She is tiny when compared to non-jackals and small when compared to normal jackals, taking after her mother's height. However, she does have wiry muscle on her frame. She is slender when compared to others.
  • Lupus: Her Lupus form is in the normal range for jackals and she looks to be well-fed and could easily be mistaken for a fox due to her long tail.

  • Secui: Her Secui form is large with long legs and a thick mane that makes her seem bigger as well as visible fangs. Her body becomes more muscular and one could even describe her as beastly with her thicker limbs and noticeably thicker build. Still quick in this form, she would be considered above average in speed and to some degree stamina with a fair amount of strength.

  • Optime: Her Optime form is small for a jackal but with wiry muscle and a petite hourglass build. She has a fair bust - the equivalent of a B-cup - and is well-balanced. She stand as tall as she can with a straight back and is fairly humanized. It is rare to see her without clothing.

Overview

Alvira's life was thrown into many upheavals before she was even seven months older; her stepbrother was killed by mercenaries, Anathema was attacked, her stepsister and stepmother were kidnapped, later her stepmother and stepsister left abruptly, and then her mother broke down and soon left after that. Due to the loss that started from a young age, Alvira has a tendency to distance herself from others and never lets herself get "too attached" to acquaintances or even friends, worried that one day they might leave her too. She also doesn't trust very easily and especially doesn't trust love. She saw what happened to her mother and vowed to never let that happen to her.

Alvira shares some of Avinalora's traits such as her already sarcastic, fiery tongue; signs of the same intelligence and cunning her mother had; developing nerves of steel; and observant nature. However, Alvira is also distrusting and has the signs of becoming a consummate liar and manipulator. She had to grow up quickly in the chaos of her former life and is quick to get defensive if she thinks anyone is poking at her walls.

However, Alvira also has her mother's moral compass and cares about others.

Evasion, Stealth, and Agility

  • Alvira is quick on her feet and is fairly agile. She can be particularly speedy and has quite a bit of stamina.
  • She makes use of her smaller size to get into harder to reach places and is a good climber.
  • She is also naturally stealthy and is light on her feet.
  • Alvira's light-colored fur is a disadvantage in darker environment.

Combat

  • Alvira has had training in unarmed combat and uses her claws and teeth to maximize damage while using punches and kicks. She also utilizes some holds to restrain her attacker and isn't above hitting them when they're down. She relies on her speed to help her deliver quick blows while aiming to injure her opponent enough so they can't chase after her.
  • Alvira uses a Nanigata and primarily uses it to keep her opponent at a distance while she delivers damage primarily aided by the long reach of the weapon in slicing motions. She also had some training with knives but her skill mostly extends to slashing and stabbing wildly.
  • Alvira has had several teachers including her aunt and Kitiara Birch who instructed her in hand-to-hand and armed combat. She has been training since she was around six months old and trains regularly with her aunts.
  • Alvira primarily aims to injure her opponent enough to allow her to get away. She typically tries to end the fight quickly and is not accustomed to longer confrontations. She would avoid confrontation if it is possible.
  • She is most practiced in unarmed combat and has had training with feral fighting. Her armed combat skills are between those.
  • Her small size is an obvious disadvantage since all it takes is to knock her off her feet and she would easily be pinned or finished.

Literacy

  • Alvira can read, having been taught since she was a pup. She enjoys reading and can read at around a ninth to tenth grade level, though has difficulty grasping humanized concepts. Primarily looks for materials that suit her interests such as reading about myths, gods and goddesses, and other things.
  • Alvira can write fairly well and has fairly nice handwriting. She spells based on sound and often gets homophones mixed up.
  • Alvira would be lost when it comes to anything more advanced when concerning humans. She also has difficulty grasping certain words and phrases and may pronounce words wrong when reading them. Sometimes needs to re-read large pages of information.

History

Alvira Phoenix was born alongside Winter Phoenix and Ghost Phoenix to Avinalora Phoenix. She was fathered by a male named Malik Crane, though they both don't know of each other's existence. Just after she took her first breath, Alvira's sibling, Ghost died.

She was raised in a large family composed of her mother, "Avi" and her brother Winter, as well as her other mother's, "Mae", children, Jaketta, Elias, and Zea. The girl lived her first weeks in peace.

But she faced loss at a young age when her brother, Zea was killed by mercenaries. Her mother threw herself into work on birds and the girl was acquainted with corvids from a young age as well as a feline caretaker.

They lived their next months peacefully until Kentaro's assault on Anathema and the burning of the village. Alvira did not see much fighting but does remember the burning of the village and her mother coming home bloody. She and the witches of Anathema fled to start their own coven.

There were a couple of months of peace for the family before yet another incident. Mae and Jaketta were kidnapped and while her sister returned, her stepmother came home later and blinded. The family weathered the crisis but that was not the end.

Also, Alvira and her brother shifted at the end of May and the girl was gifted two avian companions and gifts from her mother and family.

In June, Maelyx and Jaketta left with only a note. This caused her mother to breakdown after so much trauma. Her brother left not long after to live with their aunt. The coven broke apart and the girl was determined to get her mother out and to somewhere they could be happy. Before they left, the girl was given a silver fox kit, Haldis.

The girl took her mother to be with her family in Halifax. Avinalora later abandons the family.
