Salsola's Pack Projects

On this page... (hide)

  1.   1.  Guidelines
  2.   2.  Active Projects
  3.   3.  Completed Projects

Members are encouraged to engage in IC projects designed to improve Salsola. It's fun to help build your pack and interact with your pack members, and it gives your character an interesting roleplay environment! Having goals to complete can be extremely motivating for some members, leading to improved IC and OOC relations, as well as high levels of activity.

Team Salsola is eager to encourage any ideas for manageable intra-pack plots that you might have!

If you have an idea for a pack project, please consider some of the following aspects to help plan your ideas around the project:

  • Who is the leader of the project? If it is your character, are they a suitable rank to propose and enforce such a project? What motivated them to head such a project?
  • How many packmates would it take to complete your project? What is a good, realistic timeframe for construction? Consider the tools, materials, etc. that Luperci would have available to them as well!
  • If it is a large-scale project that may have important implications on the Culture of Salsola, please be sure to discuss this when you make your project submission to Leadership.

Read on for more information on current pack projects being run by Salsolan members, or how to go about organizing a pack project of your own! For more information on one of the pack projects listed below, please contact either the player who is running the pack project, or, Leadership.

2.  Active Projects

These projects are currently being worked on. Some of these projects may have a more active role within present-day Salsola than others, which may be referenced more as being worked on OOCly, or, in passing (particularly those that are large, require more time to complete, or are a more minor long-enduring build).

None at the moment!

3.  Completed Projects

These projects have been completed.

The War Room

Lasting implications are to have a specific area for The Shield to congregate, as well as an area for Leadership to assign missions/come to speak to Shield Members regarding information collected and displayed.

Apiaries
Apiaries
Project Lead: Duncan de le Poer (Salsola pNPC) Project Topic: N / A Project Duration: Spring - Summer 2020

The goal of this project was to build a top bar apiaries on the northeastern edge of the apple orchard and another in the communal garden. Long term, this would help increase pollination of the apple trees in the orchard and plants in the garden, and provide a reliable source of honey and wax that is easy to harvest. The increased pollination will aid in a greater yield of apples/plants each season while the honey and wax produced from the bees can be processed into a variety of useful products.

  • Note: This project was originally proposed by Urho Rask (Players/Titmouse), picked up by Duncan de le Poer (Eve), and, later, Senua D'Angelo (Eve). The project was never formally completed by these characters while played. It is OOCly assumed to have been resumed and completed by Duncan (Salsola pNPC) in 2020, resulting in topbar apiaries being placed within the Orchard and Garden (1 apiary).

Clinic Root Cellar
Clinic Root Cellar
Project Lead: Argive Hemlock (Songbird) Project Topic: Newspost Project Duration: August - October 2020

Root cellars are ideal for storing perishable items long-term. Being underground, they maintain a relatively constant temperature and are not generally effected by outside elements. The cellar will be used to store dried herbs and other medicinal items, and will be within close proximity to the Clinic itself. As it was a long-term project, individuals were free to reference its gradual progress, mention having helped out in some way, or, actually get actively involved if they so pleased.

Eden dreams of the shrine being a central location for spirituality in the Thistle Kingdom, a welcoming space where individuals can share and learn about each others' beliefs, as well as hold rituals and communions for the spirits of these dark and foreboding woods. Built from wood harvested from sacred Blackwood pines (with the blessing of the crown), the Shrine will require labourers, carpenters and artists to see it to fruition.
