Bronx

Bronx is a coydog that was born in eastern Ontario. He was originally named Cricket. He lived a relatively normal childhood up until he and his older brother, Bronx, decided to explore the world. They traveled steadily eastward in hopes of being able to see the ocean one day. One evening, they decided to check out a bar where the pair became the victims of discrimination for both their inability to shift and Bronx's more obvious coyote parentage (Cricket looked more like their father, who was a malamute). They managed to escape their attackers, but Bronx's injuries ended up becoming infected. Once winter hit, Bronx's body eventually gave up on him, and he passed away during the night. Cricket changed his name to "Bronx" in the childish rationalization that he'd carry out their dream and take them to see the ocean, just as they had planned.

Under a new alias, Cricket continued their heading. Being alone though, he began to realize he'd never make it to the ocean alone, so, upon hearing that there was a pack that protected those of coyote blood, Cricket decided to join them in the hopes that, in the spring, he'd be able to continue his journey. He traveled to Inferni, and was met by Shikoba Whiplash, whom he grew attached to.

He was ranked as a Quintus during the duration of his stay within the clan. He was an active--albeit a reluctant one--participant during the Second Boreas Conflict. For the most part, he stayed close to Shikoba and acted more as a support than a true, proactive participant to the conflict. He tagged along in a scouting mission to find out Boreas' campsite, a crucial piece of information that had won the clan and Salsola the advantage in the last war against Boreas. The scouting party was overrun when they were discovered, and Cricket received a life-threatening injury dealt by Silas Kasper.

Shikoba managed to bring his body to safety, and the two of them overlooked the ocean during Cricket's final moments, allowing the coydog to keep his promise to his late brother, Bronx, in that they'd see the ocean one day.

Basics

Appearance

Essentials Species: Predominately dog, there are hints that he has "wild" ancestry in him, mainly seen in his agouti fur coloring and large ears. Fur: Thick, double-coat, medium-long, plush around his neck, throat, and shoulders. Facial Features: Large, broad head; shorter, thick snout; large, coyote-like ears (he looks like a giant puppy). Build and Size: He weighs in on the heavier side and stands pretty tall as well. He has little to not fat (unless you count baby fat) to him and is surprisingly muscular. Personality

Bronx is relatively shy. His previously confident nature has been put to a simmer after the events that lead to his older brother's death. He's a hard-working kid though, and does his best to not make himself useless. He pulls his own weight, and strives to be helpful where he can. He has a personality that makes him someone who would rather follow someone else's lead than act on his own. Because of this, after meeting Shikoba Whiplash, Bronx found himself attached to the older male and unknowingly viewing him as a replacement for his late brother.
