Zyndea Amarok'Kido is the daughter of Leela Amarok and Faolan Kido. She was conceived during Leela's time in New Dawn, but was born at sea after her mother was abducted by ship sailing foreigners. She was one of only four puppies born alive out of a litter of seven. The whereabouts of her remaining siblings is unknown.
With the help, and sacrifice, of a man sympathetic to her mother's plight, Leela and Zyndea were able to escape from the ship. They washed ashore on Anticosti Island, where they were taken in by a group who called themselves the Eden Seekers. Zyndea thrived during her time among the Edenites, making friends and forming bonds, but her mother's homesickness drove them to leave the island to return to New Dawn. Sadly, by the time they made it back, the pack had long been disbanded and its remaining members scattered.
Unknown to Zyndea, Leela had no intention of ever returning to the Eden Seekers and instead lead her to Krokar, where the pair joined in October 2015. Zyndea grew to resent her mother for taking her from Anticosti Island and lying to her about returning. These feelings of resentment drove a wedge between Zyndea and her mother so deep that when Leela and her new mate, Vidar, left Krokar in January 2016 she did not join them.
Lost, angry, and conflicted, the yearling spent much of her time following her mother's departure wandering neutral territories, but staying close to Krokar. She visited the pack in July 2016, running into a woman named Petra Damaichu. Petra was a member of the same pack her mother, Leela, and her mate had joined after departing from Krokar. She informed Zyndea that her mother, stepfather, and all but one of her half-siblings had all been killed in an attack. Zyndea reacted indifferently to the news of her mother's death, even going so far as to claim she got what was coming to her, and wanted nothing to do with her half-brother, Leodar.
After Petra and Leodar left Krokar, Zyndea was asked to stay in Krokar by the pack's Quartermaster, Milos Parhelion, though he was careful not to cite the real reason for this request. With his first litter on the way, Milos asked Zyndea if she would stay as a live-in pupsitter, to which she agreed. While she has been indispensable in helping to watch and care for his sons with Eliza Cormier, Logan Cormier and Bramble Parhelion, Milos requested her service so that he could keep an eye on her for Leela and Vidar, the latter of which was a good friend of his.
Zyndea remains in a member of Krokar as a Riparian but presently lives in their Portland depot, Old Ironsides. She has taken an interest in fishing, pupsitting, and herbalism but harbors darker, secretive interests in witchcraft and the paranormal. Though occasionally charismatic, Zyndy tends to keep to herself and may come off as aloof at times.

Quiet and reserved, Zyndea does not easily put her trust in anyone after the perceived betrayal from her mother. Instead, she prefers to stick closely around those with whom she has already developed an unbreakable bond which has made forging new relationships difficult. Around those she is comfortable with, Zyndea is direct, honest, and even a little silly at times, but tends to be aloof with most everyone else.
Regardless of these shortcomings, Zyndea is a hard worker and does not shirk her duties. She will also willingly help her pack mates, even those she does not have much of relationship with. Zyndy is her at her best when she is around puppies and will put aside everything if asked by others to pupsit.

Motivations
Krokar: Even though it was never her idea or desire to join the pack as a puppy, Zyndea has grown to love the pack and its people, particularly the Parhelion-Cormier family. She strives to support the pack however she can.
Puppies: Puppies are the future and should be set up early on for success. The continued prosperity of the pack hinges on how well its youth are watched after, cared for, and trained.
The Parhelion-Cormier Family: This family is everything to Zyndea. They took her in at her lowest point and gave her something to live for. She cares for them deeply and likes to think of herself as part of the family. She would do anything for them.
Fears
Losing friends: Thanks to being taken away from the Eden Seekers and losing those connections and relationships that she had developed on Anticosti Island, Zyndea has a difficult time forming bonds for fear that she'll just lose them.
Self-reflection: Zyndea is afraid that if she looks too deep inside herself, the hate and distrust that she's been harboring for her mother for so long will destroy her.
Non-Luperci: Because of her mother's immunity to the virus, Zyndea is accepting of non-Luperci and those who prefer their more feral forms.
Interests
Likes: Herblore, puppies, fishing, learning, ghosts, being by herself.
Dislikes: Being lied to, arrogance, talking about her mother, gossip.
Substances
Alcohol: Zyndea has only ever partaken of alcohol during festivities or special occasions.
Tobacco: Because of how pungent the scent of tobacco from Ail Po Farm is Zyndea is unlikely to try smoking it.
Drugs: Though she's never tried any other substances, Zyndea is learning about certain plants that can alter one's state of mind.
Sexuality
Inexperienced: Zyndea has shown little interest in dating or even making friends, which means that she has no experience with romantic relationships nor has she given much thought into what she wants in a relationship.
Spirituality
Paranormal sensitivity: Ever since she was young, Zyndea has been particularly sensitive to ghosts. She will occasionally speak with apparitions when she's certain nobody is listening.
River Goddess: After re-joining Krokar, she has developed a better respect for the pack's river goddess and its beliefs in animism.
3. Relationships
Italics indicates an unknown relationship; they may be offboard or the relation is merely uncertain.
Key Relationships
Milos Parhelion: When Milos asked her to stay in Krokar as a live-in pupsitter, Zyndea was initially hesitant. But the Quartermaster's warmth and generosity won her over in the end. Milos is probably the closest thing to a father that Zyndy will ever know and she loves him like one, though she'll never admit it.
Eliza Cormier: Zyndea greatly respects Eliza's honesty and the devotion and love that she has for her children. She looks up to the Navigator, though she's somewhat weary about her tendency for gossip.
Logan Cormier and Bramble Parhelion: Zyndea has watched Logan and Bramble on numerous occasions and loves them like brothers. She has enjoyed watching them grow up from helpless newborns to the wild children that they are today.
Willow Cormier: Though they don't have much of a relationship, Zyndea recognizes her as a member of the Parhelion-Cormier family and would probably be willing to have a friendship with her if she wasn't stopped by her fears.
Extended Family: Zyndea's extended family is largely unknown to her, especially that of her father's Kido side. She has heard more stories about the Amaroks and is familiar with several of them by name but not by appearance.
