Yarrow St. Thomas is a coydog hybrid, born in southwestern Ontario. His mother was originally a surrogate for a same-sex couple she met in Nova Scotia, but she grew attached to her litter throughout her pregnancy -- and when Yarrow was the only puppy to survive, she was loath to give him up. However, when she fell ill and realized herself incapable of caring for the child anymore, she traveled with the boy to bring him to his fathers.
