1.  Appearance

Vadem is an absolute beast of a luperci, standing a staggering 7'1 with a stocky build and weighing a hefty 270lbs. He is broadchested with muscular arms, narrowing at the waist, with the majority of his strength being in the upper body. He is muscular throughout his body and is an obviously physical being.

Vadem's fur on his face, back, front of legs, and top of tail is a rich deep charcoal color. His chest, stomach, leg feathering and underneath of his tail are a dark russet with the red color being lightly speckled through his body.

Vadem's hair is a wild mess of rich tuscan red, rather similar to the typical barbarian appearance. Due to a particularly shaggy coat his face has rather long unkempt fur at the chin that he uses strips of leather and beads to fashion into a goatee. Throughout his hair and goatee he has streaks of white due to the stressful lifestyle of his upbringing. He has catalina blue eyes.

In Vadem's culture one is marked at certain milestones in his, and he bears two symbols on his body. Just below his pectoral muscules on his chest is a mixture of scarification and burns, in the shape of a swivel knife, a symbol of his mastery of leatherwork. On his back, starting at the base of his spine and going to his shoulders is a much larger scarification/burn in the shape of a tree.

He wears a leather gladiatoresque armor mantle that covers the top of his chest and pectoral muscles. On his hands and forearm he wears leather arm gaurds. Vadem's wears a leather kilt with a mixture of animal fur and teeth hang from it. On his hip rest a belt with a three bags on it carrying some of his knives in them.

Vadem voice is a rich baritone and he speaks clearly, but there is a definite Russian accent to anyone familiar with the tones.

2.  Personality

Vadem prides himself on his easy going manner and his ability to talk to just about anyone. What he doesn't acknowledge is his unwillingness to change anything that isn't his way or his ancestors way. Vadem will try to do something a strangers way, but the moment he is left on his own he returns to his ancestors ways. Stubborn to a fault he can be pushed to anger and though at the moment of anger he is more than content to be alone Vadem enjoys and needs company.

Vadem's warm smile and strong arms were always a ladies favorite at home, but here he is a little lost. Showing off his bear fur on his kilt or just flashing his kills teeth and bones would have ladies swooning at how well he could provide and protect. To this new land there was more to life then hunting, loving, and surviving the winter, but not to Vadem. To him there was nothing finer in life than fresh kill on the fire, its hide tanning, and a warm woman beside him.

As strong as he is of body he lacks any real education because of this when meeting new people he is a little sensitive when he doesn't catch onto a concept or a custom the first time. He is often complaining about it being too hot where he is now. He will openly stare in wonder at all of the people in one place and how much some of the others own. He is simply in awe of these horse creatures as he has never seen one before and wishes nothing more then to pet one.

3.  History

Born on August, 8th, 2008 in the Grigori's Village, about two days walk from the city of Norilsk. He was hailed as a strong baby from the moment he let out his first loud cry. At the tiny age of 2 months the yearly winter set in as he and his fellow puppies faced minus 5 degree weather on a regular basis. He was one out of six that survived the winter one of the most gentle winters in the past decade.

A great storm struck Grigori's Village the following October and caused the temperature to reach nearly records lows of -30 degrees. With their food reserves not nearly ready for the hibernation of January through February Vadem went froth with his father and the other males to hunt for the town. Just a year and two months old he had to prove himself worthy of life in this harsh territory. Returning from a victorious hunt he settled down in the town hall with the rest of the village.

Nearly six weeks later it was Vadem and a few other young male that had volunteered to go outside and clear off some of the snow from the roof. On top of the roof shoveling piles of snow and ice Vadem's brother fell it was Vadem's quick reactions and long reach that allowed him to grab his brother saving him from a fall that no doubt would have broken his brother's leg killing him from the sickness. To celebrate his first true winter as a man his father, the village's tattooist, marked him with the symbol of their village a tree. "For the roots are deep and the winter can not change us."

Shortly after the winter ended he started his apprenticeship as a leatherworking finding his hands too shaky for the art of tattooing. At the age of four he became a master leatherworker and his chest branded with the swivel knife of his craft. With the winters getting colder and their numbers dwindling below forty Vadem left the Grigori's Village of his ancestors in search for others to bring home.
