UlilohiEhn

Ulilohi Ehn is a messenger from The Great Tribe. She was sent to AniWaya after the Great Tribe lost communication with Maska Ahote. She arrived on November 1st and met Claudius Aston, who informed her of Maska's deposition.^[1]

1.  Biography

Ulilohi was the youngest ever to become councilmember of the Great Tribe when she rose to this position three years ago. Having cared for a long time for her then-council member aunt, the aunt named Ulilohi her successor when she died.

Ulilohi's family, the Ehn family, is another influential family of the Great Tribe which takes pride in how many Masters and council members have carried their family name since the creation of the Great Tribe. Ulilohi is, as their youngest, the gemstone in this array.

She trained as a warrior apprentice before entering the council, and her ceremonial spear (crafted to her by a friend) is a reminder of the hardships that practicians of this profession endure.

Ulilohi departed from AniWaya to return to the Great Tribe on July 10, 2014.^[2]

2.  Personality

Ulilohi is a decisive female. She will step up to the plate if it is required of her, and she does not fear authority. Still, she is not unyielding, though she will be if approached with silliness or arrogance.

She is considered the more diplomatic of the council members, and loathes unresolved conflict. She does not fear it, but considers unresolved conflict an unneccessary evil.

She is very fond of company.

3.  Appearance

Ulilohi sports a dark brown and black mottled coat. Her eyes are a deep blue. She is a very large wolf - her subspecies of Gray wolf is the largest in North America. She is always on two legs.

She is rather shapely, or "well bred", and has a broad frame. She comes from a wealthy family and it shows: her fat levels are higher than that of the average wolf. Combined with dense muscles, she looks well turned with large hips and a broad chest.

She often wears a shawl in black and blue, and can be seen with her ceremonial spear from now and then. Ulilohi loves to ornament her mane, it is often elaborate, and it changes often. She does not cut her mane very often. Some braids remain the same, but this is a hobby of hers. She takes great care to groom herself.

Ulilohi is a quite dominating female, in the way she carries herself and in combination with her physical size. However she speaks with a soft voice, deep and rolling, and she moves her limbs with great care. Her size may be intimidating to some, but her demeanor seems to aim to counter this perception.

4.  Relations

n the Great Tribe, Ulilohi was very fond of her aunt, whose place she took over in the tribe council when she died. The Ulilohi family is close-knit like most AniWayan families, and Ulilohi holds a special affection by her parents and uncles/aunts. The family is generally an ambitious family who believes in working hard and following customs, which puts pressure on the young of the family to achieve within the tribe. Even so, Ulilohi loves her parents and siblings greatly, and has grown up living in the same longhouse with them. She is, alongside her litter brother, of the family's oldest litters (not counting cousins).

In the AniWaya tribe, Ulilohi has grown particularly close to long-standing members of the tribe such as Gemma Rhiannon Sawtooth. Furthermore, her appreciation of Claudius Aston should be obvious; she raised him to councilmembers in the tribe, and he leads immediately under her.

5.  Skills and abilities

Ulilohi is proficient with the spear, training at the beginner level of the warrior tier until she came to AniWaya, where this rank is not permitted since the war. The spear is her primary choice of weapon, but she can also use the bow, although not beyond a rudimentary stadium. With the spear, she is trained in both defense and offense, but not hunting. She is strong and heavy, and usually uses this to her advantage when fighting.

She enjoys crafting small ornaments for her own hair and has limited ability with this.

She speaks AniWayan fluently, and also the common English at 'Souls, although she speaks with a heavy accent in the latter language.

Ulilohi cannot write or read, nor is she a proficient crafter of any kind, and she cannot use cloth or is very good with animals or plants. Anything physically taxing is something she will likely excel at.

6.1  Spirit Guide: Atisia (American Marten)

Ulilohi gained her spirit guide on April 15th, 2012, when venting her frustrations hiking in the Trenches, to the south of AniWayan territory.

Description and dimensions

The American marten is a long, slender-bodied weasel about the size of a mink with relatively large rounded ears, short limbs, and a bushy tail. American marten have a roughly triangular head and sharp nose. Their long, silky fur ranges in color from pale yellowish buff to tawny brown to almost black. Their head is usually lighter than the rest of their body, while the tail and legs are darker. Demeanor

Atisia ("to the right") is a short-spoken creature, and confrontational in nature. He generally sticks to Ulilohi, and is often found sitting on top of or amongst the folds of her shawl on her right shoulder. He is the type to bluntly stick his nose into a conversation if he feels that it is necessary, and he does not tread carefully when speaking to his charge. He will often play the devil's advocate in order to force his charge's thought process along. Finally, he is traditional in the sense that he does not look kindly upon anyone who does not behave within the customs of the tribe, but that is not to say that he is unforgiving. He is also a bit nervous around birds, and touchy about it.
