By Miyu!

Tak Oreille was a member of Vinátta since March 2016. When it disbanded in June 2017, he moved to Krokar after hearing from several Vinattans that it would be a good place to live if he was looking for another pack.

1.  Appearance

A large wolfdog, Tak is burly and tall, but not overly large for his breeds. Even so, he walks a little hunched over, which is more due to how much time he spends bent over while swinging his hammer to make weapons. Since he spends much of his time in his Optime form, Tak tends to wear a pair of old, torn trousers, and while he's working he also wears a deer hide vest and gloves.

He is a mixture of Mackenzie Valley Wolf and dog breeds such as the husky and German Shepherd Dog. His fur is mainly dark brown, with a lighter tan underbelly and black ticking goes from the top of his head, over his shoulders and down his back. His legs lighten to a lighter shade of brown, and his toes on his front paws are white. Sharp amber eyes and pricked ears take in his surroundings with keen awareness. Brown hair streaked with black from his ticking is generally kept away from his face in two thick, ratty braids that fall over his shoulders.

Tak's hands and forearms have various scars on them from sparks from his work, and he has scars from his younger days of getting into brawls, including a slice along his right shoulder from a broken bottle. His paw pads have been roughened by hard work, and have healed from many cracks and other wounds, although a thick scar crosses his right palm, courtesy of a very sharp blade.

2.  Personality

Tak is generally a quiet male unless he's been drinking, but either way he is not shy. He simply chooses to listen rather than talk and tends to be gruff and to the point when he does speak. When he's been drinking, how he acts depends wholly on his mood prior to imbibing as alcohol simply amplifies whatever he has been feeling and loosens his tongue.

When he has been drinking is also nearly the only time anyone will see Tak angry. His anger is physical: he will rant and rave and break things around him, although he has not been known to harm anyone except the canine who made him angry in the first place. The other time his anger will be apparent is if someone is harming someone he considers his friend.

He takes his blacksmithing very seriously and even if he is only repairing a weapon, he puts his best effort into it. Because he takes such pride in his work, his trade prices tend to be a bit steep, but he will make and repair weapons for his friends and pack members for little to nothing. Tak also likes to teach his skills to those who want to learn.

4.  History

Born in Canada, Tak left his birth pack with another male because there were too many males in the group and the Alpha felt that they needed to strike out on their own because he felt threatened by them. The youngsters found a trading caravan and joined that. The caravan had a home pack, where he learned blacksmithing skills, along with very basic animal husbandry and carpentry.

Eventually a rift in the trading group caused them to splinter into three groups and Tak decided at this point to move on from them rather than get involved with the group's politics. His former packmate chose to remain behind. From there, Tak continued on across Canada and eventually ended up in Nova Scotia, where he split his time between Amherst and Halifax, although he found that he preferred Amherst after a while.

Tak carefully avoided the border of the pack that claimed part of Amherst, although he got to know Axle and Grit when they moved to Amherst and he began seeing them more frequently when they were outside Vinátta's borders. The pair of them began encouraging him to join the pack and eventually wore him down when several rowdy younger males raided his house, stealing many of the weapons he had created while he slept.

When Vinátta disbanded in June 2017, he decided to move to Krokar because several Vinattans said it would be a good place for him to live.
