1.  Appearance

Optime:

Standing at the impressive height of seven feet and five inches, Sawyer is a large and powerful beast. His body is roped with cords of lean and strong muscle, giving him a solid eight-pack abs, a chiselled chest, brawny arms and thickly muscled legs. He's pretty damn proud of his physique and loves to show it off.

Visually, his fur is a dense, solid black. The top of his muzzle is dusted with white, something he believes makes him adorable. Otherwise the only change to his coal-coloured fur are white patches on his armpits, groin and the tip of his fluffy tail. He has no extra hair atop his head, mimicking his father's genes.

His features carry the easy charm of Australian blood. A square muzzle, shining white teeth that he often shows in an easy grin, glowing golden eyes and a nose with just the barest tinge of pink.

Most often he wears simple white shorts that are torn off a few inches above the knee or simply goes naked, with only a belt around his waist that holds the sheaths for his cutlass and machete. Occasionally he might wear a breezy, loose white shirt with flaring sleeves.

Secui:

Not used as often as his Optime, Sawyer occasionally uses this for travel, battle or occasionally a wrestling match. Still a huge, bulky, muscular tank, he becomes even larger and fiercer. Sometimes uses this form for rough-housing or playing with puppies, and sometimes transports puppies on his back.

Lupus:

Essentially the same as Secui, only smaller and leaner. Tends to only use it when he needs to fit into a snug space.

2.  Personality

Fun-loving, always up for a good time. He often tries to act like a big brother figure to those around him and loves getting in a playful wrestling match. Sawyer is rather touchy-feely and often ignores personal space, seeing no problem with putting his arm around someone's shoulders or giving them a pat on the back.

Something of a romantic, Sawyer might not be looking for a mate just yet, but he treats each and every one of his partners as though they were married unless they want otherwise.

Thoroughly enjoys being the centre of attention. Always wants to make people laugh. Loves kids, playing and hunting.

Can be rather demanding and is often convinced he is right. He hates seeing anything being wasted. Often puts his nose in other people's business. This is likely due to much of his upbringing occurring on a ship, where privacy is very rarely had and everyone knows everyone's business. He has little need for privacy and lets everything out into the open.

He can be a little in your face, but Sawyer is by no means a malicious or spiteful individual and usually has everyone's best interests at heart.

3.  History

Sawyer was born at an odd time in the year. As he grew older, this proved to be one of the most normal things about him.

His mother is the British-born Lenka Bazaar, an eccentric, no-nonsense seafarer who ran her house as strictly as she ran her ship. Thankfully, no children were ever thrown overboard. A fierce and domineering woman, famed for her skills with a cutlass and fighting at sea, few were surprised when her chosen husband was just as strong and well-known as she.

Charles Lee was an Australian-born explorer, a well-known mapmaker and navigator with a savage temper and an easy charm. Also, a large machete and a set of knuckledusters. A notable figure for all these reasons, he was quick to enlist the best captain currently docked at Ireland when he wanted to explore the Amazon. Captain Bazaar was at the top of that list.

Some people say their union was love at first sight. Others say it was love at first blood, as their first meeting resulted in a bare-knuckle fistfight that ended in an honourable draw. Lenka's crew claim that they later settled the score in the Captain's cabin.

When it was announced that Lenka carried Charles' children, it was accepted with faintly bizarre good will on the Australian's part. He later maintained that the fact that they were currently in the middle of the Pacific when she told him had nothing to do with his willingness to accept responsibility.

Both parents were tough, strong, down-to-earth, loving but strict, fair but tough. They also showed a lack of concern for their children's safety at times, but as Lenka put it, "Those little fools running around deck 'aven't fallen over yet."

His "uncle" (read: mother's First Mate) William Johnson served as Sawyer's mentor, teaching him all he needed to know. Because of the sheer amount of time Sawyer spent with Will, and the incredible strength of Will's Texan twang, Sawyer occasionally lets a Texan accent colour his voice.

Sawyer had two brothers and a sister when he was born, though one brother died shortly after. As firstborn, Sawyer was the biggest and strongest of his siblings.

As he grew, Sawyer showed a great love for wrestling, fist-fighting, wielding a machete and sabre in battle, games of chance and music. He and his siblings made a point of living life to the full and supporting each other wherever and whenever possible. He loves the sun and sea, wind and waves.

Now at the ripe old age of one and a half, Sawyer has requested to be dropped off in the Americas. He wants to find out if life on land is really all it's cracked up to be. Maybe even try joining one of those "packs" he's heard so much about.

Bringing only his messenger bag, a change of clothes, his guitar, his weapons and several other bits and pieces, this lovable lump is trying to find his place on the land. His family still visit from time to time.
