• Species: Predominately spitz, Queenie most resembles this landrace with her thick coat, pointed ears, and curled tail. Other features, such as her markings and finer details of her build, mark her as a well-mixed mutt.
• Fur: Double coat with soft, dense undercoat and long, harsh guard hairs. Longer on the neck, backs of thighs, and plume of the tail.

Interaction

• Speech: Mezzo-soprano, confidant, crass, teasing. Also barking.
• Scent: Daisies, wildflowers, hares, grasses, doggish, dirt, alcohol.
• Quirks, Gestures, Etc.:
  • Barks, a lot. Like at everything. She sees something out of the corner of her eye and goes "HEY!" and I hope your eardrums are okay.
  • No personal space whatsoever. She makes use of this to flirt, intimidate, or just because she needs an armrest.
  • When she's angry, you'll know it; prone to wild, aggressive gesturing when in an argument.
• General Posture and Body Language: Confident, Queenie swaggers and carries herself to be much taller than she is. She stands a little too close to others and is physical and impassioned with her gestures and expressions, able to be read like an open book.

  • She is very careful not to get pregnant, as that is how her mother lost her freedom. She doesn't want kids to look after.
  • While she makes promises when it's expected of her, she can rarely be trusted to keep them.

• Queenie loves romance. She adores the chase, sweeping someone off their feet, falling for them, physical and emotional intimacy -- anything but commitment, that is. Idealistic and fanciful, she has low standards and a low attention span, often dropping a partner after a few months to pursue the next attractive person.
• She has no preference between men and women, and changes up her role (dogged pursuer, dashing flirt, hard-to-get temptress) on a whim.

Substances

• Queenie has been screwed over by a family history of alcoholism; let's just call her high-functioning.
  • Acquiring and drinking alcohol takes up a lot of her time and is part of her motivation for roaming and trading.
  • She has built up a tolerance for alcohol, though she doesn't binge drink. (It happened once and she almost died.)
  • Alcohol sometimes leads her into risky scenarios, and has caused many a breakup.
• She uses other drugs (tobacco, cannabis) on occasion, often socially. She prefers tobacco when alone and smokes sometimes to cope with stress.

• Extended: Queenie has a pair of half-siblings, Magpie Trouillefou and Oriole de l'Or, by her unknown father. These are her closest relatives in the Trouillefou family to which she belongs, but she has distant relatives in the Blackrust family as well.

• Bruno Blackrust is Queenie's paternal grandfather -- not that she knows this. She met up with Bruno by coincidence and became interested in him because of their similarities (and his booze, that had something to do with it). They have a friendly, bantering relationship and look out for each other, though neither would say they were very close to the other; they don't have deep conversations.
• Kingston Calhoun is Queenie's brother. The two were very close as children, and switched between bickering and cooperative efforts to cause trouble at the drop of a hat. She loves and misses him, sometimes wondering where he might be, but doesn't care to waste time searching for him.

• Jess Calhoun is Queenie's mother, who sacrificed her freedom for the sake of her children's security. For that Queenie is grateful, though she repaid Jess by becoming a roamer rather than staying to help her out. They were not particularly close, though Queenie learned many of her morals from Jess.
• Jehan de l'Or is Queenie's father, though she only knows him by name. She is curious about him, but doesn't have any true desire to seek him out and establish a relationship.
