Totoro is a Japanese Coydog, and one of three siblings to escape their old home into Nova Scotia. They came from a clan of dogs, all closely related, and all with various disabilities due to low genetic variation.
Totoro himself suffers from an early form of Hip Dysplasia, and has trouble walking for too long, using a walking stick to assist him in moving at most times.
Despite his own issues, Totoro remains the dignified and friendly one of the group. He's the most patient and understanding, and cares deeply for his two siblings, Yatagarasu and Natsuko. After escaping their life in Japan, from both the tyranny of their Pirate mother and betrayal of their father, the group hope to find a new home and sanctuary in these Western lands.

1. Appearance
1.1 Basics
Essentials
Species: Totoro shows the most of his Wolf heritage from the litter. He's no giant, but compared to the others Totoro stands tallest and bulkiest. His ears are shorter than a Coyote's would be, as his build is slightly bigger. Like all Misfits though, Totoro's tail curls up like a Shiba inu's.
Fur: Totoro's fur is thicker than a Coyote's would be, his has more layers, but doesn't remain too long.
Optime Hair: Totoro has short and spiked hair, that usually lifts in the centre and forwards.
Facial Features: Totoro's face is an artwork of many colours. He keeps the family tradition of a light spots over his brow, but also has some more Coyote-like markings over his face, including those such as patches of orange below his eye and white above his eye and along the bridge of his nose.
Build and Size: Totoro has a strong build, despite his disability he was used by his mother for carrying heavy objects around the ship, and so Totoro has put on a lot of muscle. It hurts to walk, but when looking at Totoro it's hard to tell he's in pain, since he carries himself high, putting minimal support into his walking stick.
Lupus: All the siblings have rather lanky and slim Lupus forms. Totoro's form has many characteristics of a Shiba inu, but his fur remains thicker like a wolfs. When walking in this form, Totoro's hind legs appear twisted slightly, to avoid giving him too much pain.
Optime: Totoro is a strong individual in his Optime form. Muscle definition is rather obvious underneath his clothing, and despite his physical issue, Totoro gives no indication of his uncomfort and appears to many as a striking and confident young man.
Humanization: Being raises in a family of warriors and then used on a pirate ship, Totoro is very comfortable with his Humanization. He hardly changes forms, and enjoys wearing clothing to keep warm. He enjoys wearing his Kimono a lot, as well as other small trinkets kept hidden, but carried for good luck. Accessories.

Can be altered by the Adopter Totoro would most likely be kind and generous. Open to making friends and working hard. He wouldn't feel disgraced by his family name like his brother, but accepts where he came from and what he has to live with, to the point that Totoro would barely care.

Substances
What substances has your character tried? Are they highly experimental or not at all inclined to try? Do they have an opinion on those who do indulge in "illicit" substances?
Spirituality
Totoro believes in all sorts of Japanese luck charms and spirits. He often preys to lucky spirits for help or good fortune.
Misfit Yatagarasu Totoro's little brother by size. Totoro and Yata have a close bond, and Totoro can reside in his temperamental little brother things he wouldn't admit openly to others.
Misfit Natsuko Totoro's sister, and rival when it comes to strongest of the litter. She's got her own issues, and can be a big hard to manage, but like his little brother, Totoro cares a lot for her, and would do anything to keep Natsu safe.
Misfit Suzaku? Totoro's father, and the one that gave him and his siblings up to their mother to be turned into slaves on her ship. Whilst Totoro was heart-broken by how their father left them, he doesn't quite hate the man. He shares in the same disability as his father, and believes this connects them in some way.
Harpie? The cruel witch of a mother. She treated Totoro and all the Misfits like toys, and made life on the ship hell. Totoro doesn't like death, but he was glad to see her and her ship burn.
Education and Learning: Self-taught and trained by other Sailors. Often uses his walking stick like a staff to help him.
Close combat. (Journeyman): Able to strike with his hands and feet in methodical manners, using Asian style fighting techniques to battle.
Disarming (Journeyman): Something seen to be a skill in itself, Totoro likes to be on 'fair grounds' with his opponent, and so practices in disarming foes when fighting them.
Weak legs Because of his disability, Totoro can only fight or run or walk for so long. He puts up with the pain at more times, but there are moments when it becomes more unbearable, and he loses strength in fighting or speed.
Sailing and Language
Education and Learning: He learnt both Sailing and English from his mother's ship, as she and the crew were primarily English speaking.
Sailing (Master): Sailing a larger boat is almost second nature to Totoro, he knows all of the parts and how to work as a team to keep it moving.
English (Journeyman): He knows almost fluent English, however it comes with a strong Japanese accent.
Hunting Totoro can catch and eat fish, but catching on-land prey is something he and all of his siblings lack in.
