Jonah Leomaris is a former sailor of the prominent Leomaris family and previous resided in Portland. Since he was involved with burning down Salome's house, Jonah was forced to go with her as well. He is a skilled sailor, but his crew left him behind in Portland. He is a bit lovesick over Marla, but at the same time dislikes being stuck on land. Despite being caught up in the whole burning down Salome's house thing, he's not a bad guy.
After joining Hazel back to Krokar from the Old Ironsides depot, Jonah is spending time meeting his new pack mates and telling up tall tales about how he lost his tail. He is currently ranked as a Riparian.

Jonah has a tendency to act before thinking, occasionally resulting in life-changing consequences. As he grows older, however, these tendencies seem to be fewer and farther between. His flirtatious proclivities, however, seem here to stay.

Key Relationships
- Amos Leomaris is Jonah's father and the captain of their ship. After his first mate (and Jonah's uncle), Algernon, reports what has happened onshore, it was Amos' decision to leave his son landlocked.
- Salome de la Croix is Marla's weird relative. After accidentally setting her swamp house on fire in an attempt to impress Marla, he ended up being exiled from Portland and landlocked by his ship captain. While he doesn't blame her for his misfortune, Jonah tends to give her a wide berth.
- Marla de la Croix is an alluring, smart-tongued young lass who Jonah is still a bit love-sick over, even though it was her idea to mess with Salome and, thus, resulting in his current situation. He still enjoys hanging around her and attempting to impress her in other ways.
