Haji Nahais

Haji Nahais is the son of Eugene and Abasi, subordinates of Slinking Shadows. As a young yearling Haji took to the life of a loner after dispersing from his birth pack; now, nearly a year older the young male has began exploring Souls. Despite lamenting the benefits of solitude, he unknowingly/refuses to admit craving the company of others.

1.  Appearance

Haji's body – complimented by a spattering of minor scars – is lean yet muscular built more for speed and agility than strength and endurance. His thick fur takes after the dark tone of the earth complimented by the coarse yet sparse top coat of light grays. Sharp pale yellow eyes look out from his dark mask stretching from muzzle to forehead.

1.1  Basics

Essentials Build and Size: Average height, lean yet muscular; he carries himself confidently yet is wary and alert. Lupus: Preferred form. Of average proportions, in this form Haji is rather unremarkable. In Secui, Haji is twice his lupus size, a mass of fur and muscle. Optime: Reaching 5'11" in Optime form Haji's feral roots are apparent with his hunched stance and habit of unconsciously moving around on all fours rather than two. Not to mention his long dark mane unkempt in its appearance. Optime Hair: Messy, tangled, unkempt, not styled. Humanization: Fairly feral in appearance, Haji carries no human-like accessories on his person.

2.  History

The second in a litter of four and to a subordinate pair within a relatively large pack, Haji’s puphood was spent with the earth at the bottom of the pile, forgotten and overshadowed by his more dominant siblings and high born royals of the alphas alike, though he hardly seemed to mind. He like his peers received the best of everything the pack had to offer equally enough. Starved for love, attention and recognition by the pack in favor for his more adept peers; Haji interpreted the fickle nature of pack favoritism an unfortunate fact of life, yet a testament that he in being exempt was subsequently above it all, something unique and of special merit. Shortly after reaching the age of one, Haji left his birth pack under the pretense of seeing the world, a lie, a front to avoid the truth of simply wanting to leave.

3.  Personality

Haji is a quiet individual with a realistic outlook on life. He has a habit of weighing situations and people alike on a pro/con scale to which he uses as the basis to judge whether something in the end will benefit him. A roamer at heart, he works off instinct, whims and judgments. He finds close relationships beyond the bonds of family to be a hassle.

Unbeknownst to him, Haji's "allergy" to close relationships is a defense mechanism developing from a lack of parental attention as a pup. Though his craving of recognition is on par with his high value for his well being, he’s terrified to open up or initiate a close relationship past the acquaintance line. While he is no stranger to socializing he has a habit of keeping others at arm's length. Strong in the belief that an individual can survive on their wits alone he can't stand being helped, in debt to another or indebted to.

Bypassing his stoic realism one encounters the brunt of his natural informality, unforgiving wit, strong opinions, stubborn immaturity and blunt insensitivity. Abhorring social expectations, Haji turns a blind eye to social stigmas judging others based upon his views rather than others. A doer first and foremost, he has a good heart, helping those who need it without question or payment.
