2.  Personality

Once upon a time, Guinevere might have been a softly spoken individual with admittedly low self-esteem and high expectations of herself. She still has high expectations, however, they are slightly more realistic to her current skill and station. When younger Guinevere was convinced the world was upon her shoulders. Her father had been made Lune at the time, and her mother had become Head Diplomat on the Council. She was a little stuck up about it, but most of her bravado and aloofness were due to the extreme paranoia and duress of thinking she had to be perfect. Now far more mature and aware of the world, Guin knows perfection is a farfetched dream. Her confidence has its ups and downs, rolling with the varying turmoil that is her life, as does anyone. But overall Guinevere is a strong-minded individual, and she doesn't believe in mincing words or beating around the bush. She will fight for what is right and what she believes in no matter who she's going toe to toe with, even if that happens to be anyone ranked above her. Not even her own mate is safe, as he's come to find out to his own detriment. She has the fire of a phoenix beating in her heart and she rarely hesitates to raise it for those who can't. Whether you're bathed in its warmth or scorched within the inferno lies entirely with you. Guinevere has a fiercely protective spirit of those closest to her and an aggressive dominant streak a mile wide that rarely sees the light of day, at least at its fullest. She uses it as fuel when going on one of her crusades, but it never becomes uncontrolled.

2.1  Demeanor

Guinevere's snark and sass have returned in tenfold, thanks greatly in part to her mate Honrin. She holds her head high and doesn't back down.

2.2  Ideals

Interests

  • Likes: Horses, hunting, training. Her mate, Honrin. The smell of the earth after rain. The faint scent of sawdust constantly around the carpenter's shop.
  • Dislikes: The faint scent of sawdust constantly around the carpenter's shop; it reminds her of her dad, less of a dislike than a sad memory.

Traits

  • Outlook: Realist
  • Expression: An introverted extrovert, dominant.
  • Alignment: Likely a Good alignment, possibly even Lawful.

Fears

  • Losing her family for a second time.
  • Failure to uphold the ideals her father instilled in her for all the time she knew him.

Motivations

  • Still trying her best to make her father proud, even if this desire is so much more fragile than it used to be due to his absence.
  • Being there for everyone, even though she's afraid of anyone being there for her.

Biases

  • Packs: She remembers when Anathema caused their trouble and holds a slight grudge against them for destroying the feral clan of New Dawn. Salsola is probably forever on her shitlist due to their use of her father as a hostage.
  • Species: Coyotes are weird.
  • Non-Luperci: She remembers being stuck in her Lupus form and doesn't truly understand why some non-Luperci wouldn't want the freedom of hands.
  • Gender: Females are just as kickass as men, and sometimes more vicious and vindictive.
  • Color: Canine's with a similar coloring to her father make her sad at the sight of them. It's not their fault, and she knows that, it just reminds her of him and hurts.
  • Sexuality: She's not homophobic, but she doesn't have much exposure to that and so finds it a little odd.
  • Age: Pups are cute and wriggly but not useful for much else. Most elders deserve respect for their experience.

Sexuality

Guin is as straight as a board. If a female were to show interest in her, she'd probably thank them for the compliment of being interested, but gently inform them she was not open season any longer and happily married. With Honrin, however, she is a constant flirt and a tease, driving him up the wall with her subtle seductive ventures. On the flip side, he does the same to her, so it's completely fair game in their play of cat and mouse.

Substances

Guin rarely imbibes in alcoholic substances anymore, finding little need in the burning comfort of the bottle now that she has her family built up again.

Spirituality

She follows the god of the sun and moon, Fenris, like most members of the Knight family, but she's slowly also incorporating the various beliefs of the Denahlii clan into her life as well.

3.  Relationships

3.1  Key Relations

  • Alistair Callow-Knight: Guin was daddy's little girl, they were very close. After his disappearance, she was heartbroken and misses him terribly.
  • Lola: Although Lola and Guin had a very loving relationship, she always gravitated more towards her father. After he vanished, Guin grew much closer to her mother. When it was discovered that she, too, left, it was like a kick in the gut. It was one of the only times she openly cried in front of her brother.
  • Tristan Callow-Knight: Guin loves her brother and would do absolutely anything for him. When both of their parents disappeared it only served to deepen her bond. Once it was discovered that he too had gone missing, well....he was all she'd had left.
  • Honrin Wolfe-Denahlii: Guin's relationship with Honrin had a rocky beginning, built on innocent ignorance and male hormones. Now, while the hormones may have stayed, the innocence and the ignorance have both left the building. He teases her relentlessly, in every sense of the word, but he knows without a doubt that she can fire back at him just as hotly. It started as a crush, or infatuation, and has developed to the point where she is both comfortable that he wants her for more than a night in bed, but is now terrified of losing him. Months of dancing back and forth, and finally they got hitched to one another.

3.2  Family: Callow, de Valence?, Wolfe-Denahlii

3.3  Minor Relations

  • You might want to just keep a simple list of characters your character has encountered, or you might want to describe them, or whatever.

3.4  Former Relations

  • Jonas Coblentz: Jonas was Guinevere's mentor assigned to her at the age of six moons, training her the best way he knew how until her First Blood. In many ways, she is the way she has become today because of him, and no less because he also came back from the beyond to give her a kick in the backside and remind her of who she was. Losing him had been a blow at the time, she still misses him to this day and remembers him fondly.
  • Isaac Coblentz: Isaac was Jonas's brother, someone that had also helped to guide her along when she'd been a child, but they had also become close friends as she grew older into her years as an adult. Many times she would simply go to the butcher's shop and pester him for a spar, or she'd tease him with her snarky attitude, and he'd joke with her right back. She also believes she has him to partially thank for Honrin's final decision to commit himself to their relationship, as he told her now-husband to 'Stop fooling around and make up his mind'.
  • Veri Secanti: Veri had been a calming, warm influence to the residents of Casa. As a healer, her hands had touched many, easing their hurts and putting them on the mend. Others, her words had done just the same, making sure those who sought her out were still treading the right path. For a long while that's the only side of her Guin had known, a dear packmate, until they both became practical family after Luca's death, and Veri gave birth to Lucian and Caspian. Losing her was like losing a lantern of warmth, and light, but at least Guin knows that her light has gone to the stars, to continue guiding them from the peace of the Beyond.

4.  Interaction

  • Speech: She picked up some of her dad's British accent
  • Scent: Casa di Cavalieri

4.1  Residence

  • A large wall surrounds and protects the Fort. There is many homes and shops, a library, racetrack, training rings, stables, barn, and the Courthouse.

4.3  Abilities

Strengths

  • Carpentry (Journeyman): Woodworking is a skill she watched her father wield for as long as she can remember and had a fair amount of knowledge about it before attaining the rank. She is no where near her Da's mastery but perhaps someday she might.
  • Short Sword (Journeyman/Master): This is the weapon she chose as her primary during her days of apprenticeship. She's extremely good at it, trains often, and can even adapt to dual wielding it alongside one of her axes with relative ease.
  • Dual Axes (Apprentice/Journeyman): These were picked up after an altercation with the Syndicate where she witnessed her Lune wielding them, sparking an interest in her. She's good at them, but has grown to prefer dual wielding only one of them with her short sword.

Weaknesses

  • Guinevere used to have an issue with binge drinking, however since meeting her current mate Honrin that has drastically changed and she finds less and less reason to imbibe in the bottle. Now, her greatest weakness, and fear, is the loss of her newfound family.

5.  History

Guinevere was born to Alistair and Lola after a particularly difficult pregnancy. She was the first born of the litter and Alistair and Lola's very first baby girl. She lived with her mother and father in their home in the Fort Kingsbury Town square. They shared their home with a cat- d'Artagnan who Lola had adopted as a family member. Guinevere was cherished by both parents equally, Alistair and Lola always made an effort to spend quality time with their children, even when their schedules were full and bustling with activity due to their ranks.

When things began to fall apart, Guinevere opted out of the stressful situation by moving into the Courthouse, hoping her parents would figure it out so she could move back in and they'd be happy again.

This hope would not be a reality, as things only escalated until they eventually broke. Alistair and Lola absolved their mateship and went separate ways, albeit staying in the pack for the benefit of their children. It didn't last long, as the final straw for her Da came when he went out of his way to hunt down his estranged, manipulating father and kill him for the things he'd done. But Alistair felt that he'd done wrong by this, and so bade his daughter farewell and left Casa di Cavalieri for the wilds of Nova Scotia to look for ways of redeeming himself.

For a long, long time, Guinevere had been angry at her father for leaving. It wasn't until later, when her brother visited to inform her that their mother, Lola, had never arrived to his pack for her scheduled trading visit, that the anger morphed into a bone deep sorrow, a pining for the family that'd been torn apart.

It didn't help that, when Guin mustered the courage to get on horseback and make a trip to her brother's pack, injuring herself in the process, only to find out that he'd, also, disappeared into the wind in an attempt to search for their mother. All of these things coalesced into an orb of bitterness, wedged in her chest. A loneliness she could not fill.

Life began to breathe back into her, however, when she accidentally bonded with Arlen Stryder during one of her drunk moments in the old carpentry shop house. Since then, steadily, she's come out of her shell more and more, even to the point of falling helplessly in love with Honrin Wolfe-Denahlii, no matter how much both of them try to downplay it.

After months of dancing around one another Honrin finally raised the courage to ask for Guinevere's hand in marriage shortly after the crisis of Guin being thrown from a horse and breaking her arm. She was in a coma was three or four days, and in that time Honrin had a lot of time to reflect on how he felt for his warrior princess. When asked to officially be his mate, she said yes of course.

Just recently they attempted for a second time, on purpose this time, to have children. On February 11th Guinevere gave birth to a single puppy, a little girl named Artoia Denahlii. She is the apple of their eye, and either parent couldn't be happier at the moment.
