1.  Pre-Bleeding Souls History

1.1  Early Life

Life had never been uninteresting for the young Etalpali. As the youngest of five siblings from two separate litters, Eztli was always mischievously getting into trouble. She would endlessly torment her brothers by besting them at their warrior training, and terrorize her sisters by stealing their favorite adornments and finding genius little hiding spots for them. Once she had gone through her first change, her antics only worsened, for now she could count the highest tree branches amongst her plethora of hiding spots.

Everyone always told the young girl that her mischief would get her into trouble one day, and fate would prove their point in a terrible way. On a dare from her older brother, the 9-month-old Eztli snuck her way alone into the recesses of the sacred temple of the gods, the act earning her a forbidden sight. The corruption of the priests was bared as plain as day before her, and the girl's strong will and personal faith in the gods would not allow her to keep silent.

Before the entire tribe, Eztli denounced the priests and accused them of fraud, believing her cause was just and the gods would therefore provide the support of the entire tribe behind her words. Unfortunately, the silken words of the priests were those absorbed by the gathered wolves, and to the girl's horror she was declared a heretic and banished from her homeland. Even her blood, in whom she'd placed the strongest amount of faith she'd possessed, merely watched in sadness and shame as she was stripped of all but her spear and cast aside like so much garbage into the wilderness.

2.  Bleeding Souls History

It's been a year since that hated day, when the young girl lost everything she had and ever was to a cause she'd known in her heart was right. She still did not regret her actions, for her faith in her gods was stronger than ever despite their apparent silence on that day. The girl was aware that there was a reason behind every event in even the smallest creature's life, and she was not about to start doubting the creators of the world. Even now, she placed her trust in their guidance, following the ever-present gut feeling telling her to head north, ever north, in search of something to once again bring meaning to her lonely life. Only time will tell if she will find it.

3.  Personality

3.1  Initially

Eztli tends to be somewhat withdrawn and quiet upon first meeting her. She is mistrustful and cautious with strangers, the betrayal of her family and the priests of her pack having had a lasting impact on her faith in others. She is deeply spiritual in her own personal way, feeling as though she has a personal relationship with her gods and the spirits of the earth and is resentful of any type of organized religion. In her opinion, one should not need to speak to their gods through others, as those others can frequently not be relied upon. Eztli does not discount the beliefs of other individuals, as she believes the gods and spirits can take on different names and appearances as they wish, and believes in a sense that every form of belief is the same at heart.

5.  Abilities, talents and skills

One of Eztli's favorite hobbies as a young girl was jewelcrafting. As she's travelled on her own, she has honed this skill farther and is constantly on the look-out for precious metals and stones to work into new designs in the tradition of her heritage. She is also known to possess an excellent singing voice, though her usual audience is simply herself.

6.  Appearance

At around a year and a half old, Eztli has finally settled into the graceful beauty inherent in the female members of the Etalpali line. Her stature is smaller than average, owed in part to her Mexican heritage, and her coat is a uniform sleek black carrying hints of reddish highlights in the sun. Her ears are on the small side, and her muzzle is narrow and dainty, adding to the graceful feminism of her appearance. Her limbs are slender but not willowy, possessing an obvious strength to them despite her size. She can be seen frequently performing a style of martial dance to keep her form fit and flexible. In optime form, rather than being combed and styled into a more "human-like" hairstyle, her red-black mane is usually left to hang in a more feral loose form or braided form down her back. Eztli's most noticable feature is her eyes, a startling bright blue, beneath which appear blood red markings similar to tear stains. She is rarely seen without these "tattoos" applied. It's also not uncommon for her to be wearing any various assortment of gold or silver jewelry, from earrings to bracelets or anklets, to necklaces and armbands.

Though optime form is Eztli's preferred form, she will also use her smaller lupus form if the need or desire arises. In this form, the only jewelry she will typically leave on is an earring or two.

6.1  Luperci Forms

Rarely seen in secui form; generally prefers optime, or lupus if swifter travel is necessary.
