1.  Appearance

Dodge is a mutt with clear German Shepherd blood. He is medium-sized, but far lankier than his sister -- taking a bit more after their sighthound ancestry. However, he doesn't appear skinny -- just of average weight, with slightly longer legs and a longer neck. His ears are half-pointed, flopping at the ends, and his tail is long though with a slight upward curl. His fur is of medium length, a double-coat that sheds biannually.

He is mostly tan, but for black saddling and a black muzzle. There is faint black-grey on his forehead, as well as his ears and the stripe of his tail. His right paws are both dipped in white. He has tawny eyes.

In Optime form, Dodge retains his build -- average and well-toned through constant work. He is somewhat skinnier than his sibling, with longer legs and a more gawky build, but he remains muscular and masculine in most lights. His hair is black, thick, and curly, usually chopped short.

He has a few nicks on his hands and snout where his fur is thinnest, but otherwise has one prominent scar -- a cut on his left pectoral where a bull horn got him.

Dodge does not wear jewelry, though he carries around a chain necklace that he hopes to find some meaningful pendant for. He likes to wear ripped-off denim jeans and a leather vest.

2.  Personality

Dodge is a chaotic spirit, breaking rules and having fun, but instead of being purely selfish like his sister, he notably holds "doing the right thing" over anything else. He tends to steal only from those he feels deserves it, and will break any law if it means helping someone out. His belief in good morals tends to make him very friendly and helpful to those around him; he is charitable and kind. He is more submissive than his sister, but that doesn't mean that he's week -- he'd just rather talk something out before fighting. He has a great love for equines and country life.

Note for those interested in adopting! Player is free to expand on this basic personality as well as the "details" found below, but massive changes (realistically played-out and dynamic ones excluded) to played personality are not permitted. If something is never addressed in roleplay, it is fine to give it a tweak.

2.1  Ideals

Interests

  • Likes: Horses and mules, animal husbandry, singing, hunting, climbing trees, open fields, rivers, medicine, parties.
  • Dislikes: Unnecessary deaths, selfishness, bigotry, rudeness.

Traits

Rebellious, sociable, charitable, pacifistic.

  • Outlook: Optimistic
  • Expression: Extroverted, submissive
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good

Fears

  • Dodge's greatest fear is a common one -- the death of a family member, especially his sister. He tends to write home to his mother as often as he can to make sure that his parents are okay, too.
  • Anything considered supernatural unnerves him to no end; this includes ghosts, religious rituals, and claims of "magic."

Motivations

  • Charity, helping others, good deeds.
  • Improvement of the self, especially morally.

Spirituality

  • Atheistic
  • Dodge doesn't believe in a god or the need for religious rules to lead a moral life; he believes every canine is out to better the world for themselves. However, he believes in some minor spirits and ghosts -- and hates them. He sees anything spiritual or magic as unnatural, something to be feared.

Biases

  • Species: Dogs are viewed as friends, comrades. Wolves and coyotes viewed more warily from instinct, but not unfriendly. Also Dodge hates cats and loves to chase and eat them.
  • Religion: Any religion that involves supernatural rituals or "magic" is regarded with distrust. He believes religion should be for praying to a god or gods, having faith in ancestors or spirits, and not actually invoking ghosts or spells or nonsense like that.
  • Culture: Although not mean to "different" canines like his sister, Dodge has a hard time understanding cultures unlike his own. He grows clueless and flustered when someone doesn't speak English as their primary language, for instance. He tries to be kind, but often fails at this.

Sexuality

  • Bisexual, slight male preference.
  • Attracted to men or women that can take a leading role in sex.
  • Dodge isn't interested in casual encounters, but rather actual romance and steady relationships. He doesn't expect everyone he likes to be his "life partner" but enjoys the companionship that comes with such relationships, and so he's glad to try to make each one work the best they can.

Substances

  • Not a fan of beer or hard liquor; seeks out wine and other fine spirits.
  • Very occasionally partakes in softcore recreational drugs, such as marijuana.

3.  Interaction

  • Speech: Southern States accent.
  • Scent: Horses, sunlight, fields, dirt, leather.

Weaknesses

5.  History

Brief (1-3 paragraphs, sparsely detailed) overview of character history. Sie likes to repeat this section in the character's forum profile, since it's the shortest and easiest to parse for someone just browsin' over the forum profile.

5.1  Timeline

YYYY

  • Month: This section is most useful for detailing what happened before your character came to 'Souls, since that is not included in the lower thread archive section. Some players choose to continue their timeline history with important events from the thread archive while other players are content to use this section solely as a "before 'Souls" section.
