Appearance

Basics

With a light beige coat, Crypto is patterned with dark brown and white markings. The white is a partial coloration, stretching from the base of their neck to the naval of their abdomen. It ends in a thinner line and appears on the underside of their tail. Their tail is curled into a spiral from their dog heritage, ending in a darker coloration in extension from the brown on their back.

Crypto's figure is generally unassuming. They are shorter than average at 5'3 in their Optime form, making their lean and muscled body blend easily into the crowd. This is an advantage in their eyes, for appearing inconscpicuous is very useful for spying on others. It is rarely wise to underestimate their appearance. They are usually often up to something.

Still, they have some unique traits to them. Their oddly colored eyes pop out against their earthy coat, a search light in the darkness. Their right eye is primarily an azure blue and their left eye is mostly a sunset orange. Circling their irises is a bright seafoam green, speckling the surface of their irises with small dots as well. Their nose and their paw pads are mottled with spots of dark brown, lighter brown and light pink. On their left hand, their ring finger has a light stripe extending from it, tip to elbow.

Dotting each of their eyebrows is a white spot, highlighting their features whenever they use their brows for an expression. Lining both of their eyes are much darker spots, contrasting noticeably with their saturated irises.

Considering their culture, it is sometimes regarded as strange that they do not yet have any body modifications. While it is not a requirement for membership in the cult, Crypto is still considered a rarity in the eyes of their peers for not yet having even a single scar. Do they want any scarring or other body modifications? Do they already have one that they are neatly concealing? Will they abstain entirely from such a thing? How do they feel about how the others remark on this? That is up to you!

• Speech: Crypto speaks in a mid-toned pitch. They rarely speak at length. They have an American accent, which may sound somewhat foreign to inhabitants of the playable area.
• Scent: Rock and ash.
• Quirks, Gestures, Etc.: Crypto looks over their shoulder routinely.
• General Posture and Body Language: They can sometimes grow bored, and it shows evidently in their body language by sagging. Sometimes, Crypto even just flops onto the ground.

General traits:

Strengths

PRIMARY:

• Smithing & Building: Master.
  • Within their culture and group, restoration of old buildings is a very prized skill. To that end, they have been trained by others in Carnalis in the arts of blacksmithing and building, specifically repair.
• Spying & sneaking: Master.
  • Infiltrating other spaces to obtain important information is something else that Crypto is proficient at. Since they do not appear suspicious most often, this is a natural talent built upon with training in sneaking.
• Persuasion: Journeyman.
  • While obtaining information, Crypto sometimes has to worm their way out of a sticky situation with a story. They can twist the truth to their needs. At least to an extent. Crypto often avoids using this skill, as it is preferable to not end up looking suspicious enough to be questioned.

• The culture that Crpto grew up in within Carnalis valued duality and difference. As such, they ended up identifying with no gender, just as others before them have.
