1. History
Feely ran off and eventually ran into somegermandude, who was on a religious pilgrimage to wherever they met. She decided to go back with him to Germany because he made her happy. So she joined his pack and learned the language and had a kid and lived a normal happy life. Except for the fact that she was still secretly gay, but whatever. She never spoke of Souls to anyone, and tried to forget about her past life as much as possible. Annalee was an only child and Feely loved her as much as could be, partly because she felt guilty about how bad of a mother she was to her pups at Souls. Annalee was a very curious child and grew up speaking both German and English, although her English sounds quite strange to a native speaker because her mother was the one to teach her, and Feely had a pretty epic speech impediment. She also learned lots about nature and plants and star navigation from her paternal grandmother, who was a highly respected member of the pack, prized for her intelligence, purity, and connection with the Lord. Yeah, that's right, her pack was super God-worshiping. They hated human civilization because they thought it was the epitome of sin, and that that was why humans were destroyed. Further, they believed that God instilled wolves as rightful heirs to the earth, because they were purer and closer to nature and generally superior to humans. Also He gave them the ability to shift because he's God and cool like that. Thus the pack and its neighbours, who were of the same mind, got together and destroyed all remains of human civilization in the area, banning the reading of human books, and the discussion of human culture and history. Naturally, Annalee was quite curious about these things as a result, but never inquired about them for fear of getting into trouble/losing the favour of her family. One night she overheard her mother mumbling in her sleep about various Souls-related things, and somehow decided to go off and find Souls because she loved her mom and wanted to learn all about her past.
