Adonis Nero

1.  Appearance

A strong and solid wolf, with an intermingling palette of ashen shades, a dusting composed of primarily white, beige, gold and a splash of black soot across his nape. Having quickly achieved adulthood, the formidable wolf is tall, with a broad chest, wide paws and a militant countenance to his otherwise effortless stride. His eyes, once a fierce puppy-blue, have permanently faded to a pale, tarnished gold. They are bright and intelligent, but continuing to hold his now characteristically gentle and humble countenance. He looks every bit the prime adult male he is in body, and his aged mentality is reflected in the way he carries himself.

A quiet, compromised wolf with infallible honesty and loyalty. However, he harbors a jaded view of the world as a whole with good reason.

2.1  Ideals

Interests Likes: Water, the ocean, exploring, lying in the sun, stargazing, puppies, learning/knowledge, teaching, lore, spirituality. Dislikes: War, selfishness, fighting, ignorance, nightmares, arrogance, disobedience. Traits Patient, loyal, honest, hard-working, mildly neurotic, flexible, open-minded, self-depreciating. Outlook: Even mix of optimistic and pessimistic depending on the day. Expression: Introverted and submissive. Alignment: Lawful Good Fears Failure, abandonment, disability, death. Motivations ...!?

Biases Packs: New Dawn, simply because they still act like true wolves. Species: --- Non-Luperci: He has a slight bias against Luperci, but doesn't dislike them right off the bat. Gender: Kind of mistrustful of women in general because they always end up disappearing on him. Sexuality: He doesn't really get homosexual relationships, but has no bias against them. Sexuality Adonis has a very minor sex drive, and doesn't actively peruse it. His understanding of sexuality is actually very limited; he has never been sexually attracted to anyone but his mate. He isn't shy, but he is too preoccupied with everything else to give it much thought. Substances None so far, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Spirituality He believes in the king of the mer-people. No but this really needs to be expanded. Simply put, he believes he's a disciple of Poseidon.

3.  Interaction

• Speech: A soft tenor; nearly flawless annunciation. Rarely uses contractions.
• Scent: Sea salt, fresh earth, woodsy wolf musk.
• Languages: English, Intermediate Latin, rudimentary Italian.

4.  Relationships

4.1  Key Relations Adonis was born to Marmaduke and Amelia, alongside siblings Raphael, Eris, and a sickly sister who died of natural causes soon after birth. After becoming separated from his family, and subsequently taken in collectively by the wolves of Strawberry Fields, he was discovered by Caligula Aurelius Nero who became a mentor, and later his adoptive father. His former love interest is Tula DeMonte-Sairensu and his former mate is Alfhildr Nero. Lydia and Persephone were his siblings through Caligula. His brother-in-law, and only confidant, was Cyril by his partnership to Lydia. The pair later succumbed to starvation in May 2009. Gaius Marcus Aurelius is his older brother though this remains unknown to Adonis, and Renatus Aurelius Imenand Nero, Caligula's son through a Winterheart Forest female, is his younger brother.

4.5  NPCs "The Seer" Species: Common Raven (Corvus Corax) Age and DOB: Unknown Description: A leucistic male raven that has followed Adonis for over a year. He is all white, with stormy blue eyes. Personality: Seer is a observant and extremely intelligent creature. He is proud, quiet, and a little bit haughty. He only accompanies Adonis on occasion, but usually remains within 10 miles of his "ward".

5.  History

Adonis has a long history, and only the basics are listed here. This will eventually be elaborated on the wiki.

As a child he became separated from his family while they were migrating to a new land to escape encroachment of neighboring packs. He ended up in the care of wolves from Strawberry Fields, a pack that was part of a greater valley system in the midwest. Soon after, he was adopted by a lone wolf named Caligula, and left the Fields to join him. Under Caligula's tutelage, he became a soldier and a follower of Roman-inspired faith. His father built an army, and caused a lot of trouble for the packs of the normally peaceful Valley. Adonis was blind to the issues, and continued to follow his father until his death the night they attacked Nova Mountain.

Frightened and scared, he ran away from the battle and ended up living on his own for the next year. He wandered between packs and exchanged food and shelter for work, only to move on again. Eventually he settled down in Silent Moon Plateau where he stayed for a good six-months. He left to travel again, unable to settle down for various reasons (due, in part, to his guilt), only to find a home in Lilac Valley. There he stayed until he found a mate and moved with her to Gold Moon Forest.

When Nova Mountain erupted, the pack moved West and settled in a new Valley by the coast and became known as Goldmoon Gypsies. He never quite fit in with the Goldmoon wolves, and eventually this came to a head when he confronted a female named Elsa about her unplanned pregnancy. The pack was struggling since the move, and the children threatened the health of the pack. But because of his perceived aggression he was ostracized. He mate disappeared under unknown circumstances soon after and was presumed dead.

Heartbroken, Adonis left everything behind again and traveled far to the east. He ended up offering his skills as a storyteller as he went along, moving from place to place, until he was imprisoned by a pack who followed a faith that required blood sacrifices. Unable to fight off the superior Luperci, Adonis was bled for their god. He experienced his first shift during the next moon, and was then set free.

He continued to wander east, believing himself now cursed and shunned by his Gods.
